Ocean Front Beacons Beach, Amazing View, Surfboard

Really nice place with big yard for dogs or kids. Real laid back So.Cal pad. Very clean lots of chairs and beach stuff. Parking is perfect.This was our second time and hope to be back next year.

Great location with an awesome view. We very much enjoyed the beach equipment the property made available to us, particularly the bodyboards. It's hard to find space for equipment like that while travelling so having it available from the rental was very convenient.

The property is located right off Beacons Beach! This is a fabulous surf beach and with the added sand it is also a wonderful beach! We stayed on the second floor unit and the views are wonderful. There are zero obstruction to this view. You can stand on the balcony sip your coffee and check the surf in the morning to see if there is a set calling your name. With a swift walk down the access you can be in the water with in 5 minutes. The rooms are huge! The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready to use. The property is clean and nicely decorated, well maintained, and recently remodeled. There are 2 easy access parking spots. It is walkable to several resteraunts, shopping, and a park. We took a girls trip with my mother, adult daughter, and teen daughter. After a week on the property we were all feeling rested and restored. Thank you to the owners for letting us stay.

The house is lovely and well-appointed. It has been completely remodeled and is very clean. The yard is a great size and our little doggies enjoyed running around in it. Just across the parking lot, there is a path that zigzags down to the beautiful beach. Lots of restaurants are within walking distance from the house (including dog-friendly ones!). The train horns scared us a bit the first night but we did get used to them. Highly recommend this house for a wonderful vacation!

Love the location pretty much on the sand in Leucadia lots of surfers every morning with their boards great view from the deck good privacy from any neighbors or walkers. Kitchen is nicely stocked. Nice appliances. Comfy living area and beds pillows and linens were comfortable slept well. Good shower pressure too. Stairs leading up to 2nd floor condo are steep if you’re a little impaired or have a suitcase. Could use an added handrail on the right. If you’re strong and steady it’s a great condo! I’d stay again for sure! Laundry in the lower garage is a plus! Definitely book this again! We are a family of 4 with grown children lots of restaurants within walking distances and the best French cafe too.

We loved staying in this cute condo. Amazing views of the beautiful sunset. Condo is clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a great beach trip. My boys loved trying the surf boards provided. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics needed. Quiet area but just across the street from beach access. Only note ( which wasn’t an issue for us) this is a top unit and has all fairly steep stairway to get into unit. If you plan to do laundry you will need quarters for the machines. Not in the unit but right downstairs. Owner was very responsive and great to work with. We will be back for sure! Easy parking but you can walk just about everywhere. We have stayed at many VRBOs and I was very impressed with this one.

This place was exactly like stated in the website. The property was right across the small one way street from the beach. It had a view of the ocean. The space was large and the kitchen had updated appliances. The only thing I would suggest is to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and bar soap. There were lots of beach toys for our two grandchildren to take to the beach. The downstairs outside shower was perfect for removing sand before entering the condo. We also went to Disneyland which was a little over an hour away but not a bad drive. Overall it was a great stay.

Our group was 4 senior adults and a small dog. Clean upon arrival and exactly as pictured, except the yard is now TURF instead of grass. A very nice, large umbrella was added to the patio…great for afternoons. One of the beach chairs was covered with ants because a previous guest left children’s snacks and pacifiers in the pockets (also under the coffee table). We had trouble with the main TV upon arrival, but the maintenance man arrived within 1-hour of contacting the host. He also fixed the BBQ igniter and got more propane. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, utensils, pots & pans, and very nice appliances. We prepared our own meals 5 of 7 nights. The upstairs unit was occupied for 3 nights. We could definitely hear the walking, running, and voices above our heads. The trains blow their horns from about 4:30am to 10:30pm. You sort of get used to it, or not. On-site parking lot was great. We drove two smaller SUV’s. It's hard to open the door when there is a large truck next to you. W/D are coin-operated...we did not use. Beacon’s Beach access is a sand/rock switchback walkway. There are wooden posts connected with plastic-covered cable, and a few handrails, except at the bottom. We navigated it slowly. The lifeguard assisted someone who was stung by a stingray one day. Neptune Ave is one-way, with one lane for cars, and a pedestrian lane. E-bikes and e-scooters move faster than the cars. Overall, this rental is a step above most others we have rented in the San Diego area.

We had an excellent time at the VRBO right across the street from the beach. The place neat, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

Overall, the house was exactly as it appeared in the listing. We battled ants in the Kitchen and bathrooms during our entire stay, but that did not deter us from having a wonderful time. The path down to the beach was too steep for my 88-year-old mother, but the home is only a five minute drive From Moonlight State Beach… It’s perfect for any age and any level of ability.

Everything about the property was as described. Bright and clean, comfortable and peaceful. Watching the ocean, listening to the ocean and watching and joining the life at Neptune and Beacons made it hard to pack up and leave.

Great location, super clean and responsive owner

2 Adult couples. Day 2, one person started having severe respiratory issues. Sneezing, coughing and runny nose. Day 3 another guest developed similar respiratory issues. Day 4, another guest developing severe respiratory issues enduring sleepless nights. And our 4 th guest developed A scratchy throat and congestion on our 6 th day. We all experienced “COVID” like symptoms. We tested for COVID. All negative results. Cause of all guests getting sick? Very old and shabby carpet in Bedrooms. But the main problem was the floor mounted air conditioners. Master bedroom had NO Windows that could be opened. So, AC was required To get air movement. Units are old and I surmise that The filters in the units have NEVER been changed. Each bedroom had a unit and the living area as well. Poor ventilation required the units to be running in all rooms. Unit was right across the street from the beach. Damp conditions create mold and mold can be a large irritant. My symptoms ceased getting worse when we stopped using AC in master bedroom on day 5. We departed the unit 9 am on Saturday and still Monday Night symptoms are still a problem. I find it impossible to believe that these issues have not shown themselves with other guests. In addition, the picture in the advertising was likely taken 10-15 years ago. The place is shabby. And all guests got sick. I never write reviews but this place inspired me!

Excellent location, spacious and clean place. Perfect for a few days in the heart of Leucadia

This place is a gem. It’s located in a quiet high end neighborhood across the street from a small beach parking lot, so there are no houses blocking the view of the ocean from this second floor apartment. Big rooms, well equipped kitchen, and second floor deck with sweeping water views. Close to shops and Pannikin coffee. This apartment is up a flight and a half of stairs. Also the beach access across the street is currently closed due to storm damage, but there’s another about a mile away, and lots by car. Several reviews mentioned trains, here’s the deal: Encinitas has a train track that runs the length of town about 1000 feet from the water. If you’re near the water, you’re near the train. In this place you can hear the train, but it’s not like it’s shaking the house. Be aware some of the other places we looked at are directly overlooking the tracks, so you might want to ask. Overall great place, we’ll be back.

This property is excellent, the rooms are large and clean, furniture is comfortable, kitchen pretty well stocked. Sunsets off the balcony are awesome. In all honesty, however, it should be noted that the stairs are very steep to reach the second floor and there is a train that runs nearby by about every half hour that blows its horn. That starts around 5:20AM til late. It didn't bother me, but it did my husband. Just be prepared. Perfect spot if you like to surf, run, bike, etc.

We had a fantastic time at Richard‘s place! The location is excellent, with sunsets on the balcony every evening. Did not disappoint! Richard was extremely responsive to every message we sent him and very pleasant to deal with. We had an issue with the laundry Initially and he sorted it out immediately.. He also plumbed in an electrical outlet for us so that we could plug in our hybrid electric vehicle to charge. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a beautiful ocean view and very comfortable stay! Thank you so much, Richard!

This is a great place to rent with ocean views, great neighborhood, and proximity to coffee/restaurants in Leucadia and Encinitas. Home was clean, well-equipped, and spacious. Richard the owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this property.

Perfect place to stay for our recent visit. Super easy to walk to everything. Great view.

I had a conference to attend in Carlsbad and thought it would be more fun to take the family on a quick vacation than stay solo in the hotel. It was great! I love Encinitas and this particular neighborhood was peaceful and relaxed.

Great location for walking to wonderful restaurants and excellent access to the beach. We enjoyed the people watching and sunsets from the big yard. This a great vacation spot for a family or couple.
