Just a few meters from the complex is the Valsequillo pool, where you can enjoy its facilities for a small fee. The journey begins in the heart of the village, at Plaza de la Democracia, where we embark on a path that will take us across the Fuente de la Plazuela stream over a charming granite bridge. Along the way, we pass through open fields, old pastures, olive groves, and orchards with wells that still retain their traditional waterwheels. Following the Monterrubio stream, the trail leads us to Puerto de La Cinta, a natural pass at an altitude of 652 meters that separates the Sierra de la Cinta and the Sierra Trapera. In winter, seasonal pools, such as Laguna Ramos, become home to various aquatic birds, adding a touch of wildlife to the route. The route takes us past the Hermitage of Our Lady of FaÌtima, an emblematic place where the town celebrates its traditional pilgrimage every second Sunday in May. Before arriving, we cross the historic route of the CoÌrdoba-AlmorchoÌn railway and the legendary Venta del Contrabandista, evoking stories of the old AlmorchoÌn village, or Los Contrabandistas village.
