Crown Inn & Suites

We arrived at midnight, so I was the only person checking in. The man behind the desk didn't speak English very well. He called someone else during my check-in process. I don't know what they discussed, as they did not use English. The room was very big and very clean. The bathroom was not updated, but it was functional. The towels need to be replaced. They were telltale gray and very hard. We just needed a place to rest our heads for a few hours and this place did the trick. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room, but we didn't use them. If passing through I would possibly stay here again. but it wouldn't be for longer than one night.

This is a "get what you pay for" kind of location. We were in town for the balloon rally. It was 2nd best location but had availability 1 week prior which is rare for these events. They seemed to have a few weekly or longer term guests/residents. However, the staff was wonderful and helpful and polite. Our room was partially updated. And there were things that were definitely lower budget motel vibes, like a loose toilet seat, slanted floors and very springy beds. But we were able to sleep decently and the A/C was cold, even if it did smell of mold and look like it had mold in it. It may be that this staff just took over the property and is still in a transition to improving it because they were the best part of the stay. If we return for this annual event we will probably look at the closer option, but if its booked full, we wouldn't say we would never book here again. It's just exactly how its named.

Really run down. Carpet all bunched up. Light switch turns everything in room off. As a result they switch the lights off and you had to find the lights in the dark and turn them on. Couldn't understand the person at the desk, didn't speak english or not clearly enough to be understood. But most reasonably price hotel in area. In a town with most kinds of shopping. Was clean, no bed bugs, TV had number of channels.

The outside and hallway definitely give a different vibe than inside. this location seems to be in process of improving appearances but started with the rooms which I’m not mad about. The bed was massive and comfortable, the pillows left much to be desired unfortunately. I was very impressed with the decor choice as well. And for the price, I can deal with minor inconveniences. I’d stay again

Room was clean and the AC worked great. Plenty of hot water and check in was smooth. could use black out curtains and better towels. But worked great for a basic hotel to shower and sleep in.
