Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, Bay Island, Port Blair

Le personnel est très gentil. Les chambres sont bien mais le jardin, l extérieur n est pas entretenu. L espace piscine pas agréable. Le bar en soirée est agréable. Hotel bien pour y passer la nuit mais pas pour y séjourner.

I use the bar and I use the restaurants. The staff was very attentive and good. The hotel needs some refurbishing! I can’t really say that it’s dirty, but it just needs some refurbishing.

The room was very small and there was very limited view of the ocean. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good.

What really made the stay great was the staff and the food, which was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, I had to wait a couple of hours before being able to get my room 6pm instead of 2pm. They were nice enough to invite me to a complimentary buffet dinner for compensation, which was useless as I was staying on a half-board basis. Dinner was already included. The room was a big disappointment because I was hoping for a seaview, as I had chosen the specific seaview room. What I got, was a view of the air-conditioning units of the next building, making noise and making it impossible to enjoy the balcony. Once standing on the balcony though, I was able to have a view of the sea by looking on my left... I think that there should be more room categories, because for the seaview category, you can get anything from a small room with partial view to a large room with full view. It is a lotery on which you bet the rate you're going to pay anyway. The hotel is nice, but some parts a run down and not well maintained (garden and stairs on the left of the hotel). For a 250USD night rate, I am not enthusiastic enough to recommend the hotel. If you can catch a better rate and secure one of the room with full view, then it might be a good option.

Rooms were neat & clean. Staff is excellent and courteous.
