My only complaint is we could not use the pool because the water was extremely warm and the spa was very hot. We were looking forward to relaxing after a long day but weren't able to.

This is one of very few hotels I have stayed at where the hot tub and pool are open until midnight! It’s so refreshing to relax in a hot tub after a long day out. The suite room allowed my wife and I to have some privacy from our son because there’s a door separating the 2 parts of the room. The breakfast was excellent!

Immediately knew our stay was going to be awful from the stench as we walked in to check in. Our room, had a bad smell compared to wet dog. The room was damp and our "sheets" on our bed felt damp. We did not sleep well, our room had "black out" curtains but they did not block out much of the parking lot lights nor the morning sun. We tried to go use the hot tub but the switch did not activate the cesspool of water that looked scummy and not to mention the swim cap that was floating. There was no smell of chlorine which also indicates that the pool and spa is just a petri dish of bacteria. The final reason I am making this review was our complimentary breakfast. This set me over the top. Food looked disgusting, nothing was available and the breakfast area was over crowed with disrespectful people who didn't care about anyone else trying to eat a little bit. One man was even yelling at another older woman for bumping his child that was just enough to tell me and my husband to hit the road. We have stayed in many hotels, but this one has to be the worst we ever stayed at. We will not attempt to stay here again. Beware booking here at all costs.

Our stay was amazing. We really enjoyed the pool hours, it was open 6am until midnight. Room was clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and gave us all the extra blankets and towels we needed. The air conditioning was only in the bedroom of our suite, so it got quite warm in the living area while the kids slept. Also, the mattress was one of the thinnest I've seen on a pull-out bed. But overall a fantastic stay, just bring a mattress pad if you need the pull-out!

Breakfast was hot and each morning a different variety of hot foods. All staff was very helpful and nice. Pool was cold, if it's heated it's turned down low. Room was clean, bed was comfortable w/2 different comfort level pillows, bathroom a decent size, flat screen tv. Will stay here again.

What you see in pictures is what you get. Clean. Good continental breakfast. Pool area was OK. Busy. Pool is very cold. Quiet, not too close to busy roads. Not walkable to anything.

Hotel was great. Breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast and staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Pool and hot tub were gross and need a deep clean. If you don’t want the pool it's a five star experience but we chose the hotel for the pool.

I did not like my room. The room was kind of dirty. There was hair in the Refrigerator. I told the front desk and she had someone to clean it. The house keeper was pleasant. The rug was dirty and the overall decor in the room was just plain and old.

Quiet area, clean and comfortable

Unfortunately my room was not cleaned. It was very dusty and it smelled like urine for my 2 days there

Room was clean, but stairs were filthy!

Elevator was dirty and dingy. When you walk in the impression is that it is old and needs updating. Has an old smell. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very helpful. Our room was very clean. I would definitely stay there again.

The room is smelling so bad, I sleep for one night. I have to switch to different rooms but only a little better. The staff & service good especially breakfast have a lot of foods and has changed for next day

We liked the larger size refrigerator, and having a microwave in our room. There is also access behind the parking lot to a nice walking path. Good water pressure in the shower.

Budget hotel at not budget prices. Toilet made a sound like a siren. Only half of tv stations worked. No bar soap. Was clean but dated. Pool. Outside area to sit. Okay, but not worth the price.

check in & check out - front desk staff were nice and friendly, but there were some guests that was knocking on our door a couple of times very late at night and in the morning the housekeeping knocked our door too early, maybe the front desk staff did not advise them that we are going to check out later than the usual time. TV is totally not working but it’s really not a big deal for us anyway.

TV was 20 years old. Cable was intermittent. Bed was 20 years old. Other than that it was good.

We decided to book for my birthday stay for one night. We checked in right away with no wait, we were able to access the room with no issues. Our room had a living room with couches and a tv with a ceiling fan! There was a desk and chair, kitchenette and a separate door for the bathroom. Then in the back of the room was the bedroom with tv and nightstands. The room was super clean and beautifully decorated. We had no issues at all. The pool and hot tub were all to ourselves and there’s a 24 hour gym and 24 hour business center. Breakfast was amazing, eggs, toast, pancakes biscuits and gravy, rolls, cereal and more!

The TV in the room wasn’t working when I called they said they will send someone. 2 hours later no one came so I called again they sent someone that couldn’t fix it so they offer to move me in the different room. It didn’t matter the game I wanted to watch was over.

Very dated (room had old school radiator for heat). But it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Aside from one broken treadmill, the fitness facility was good. Breakfast could’ve used a couple more options and better coffee, good overall.

The host closed the breakfast buffet 15 minutes early & had turned off the juice machine and all the heating units so four of us got no juice cool gravy First ever Holiday INN EXPRESS that has ever in 35 states we been in that did that. She was RUDE!!!

Housekeeping never came and when asked to leave clean towels they didn’t

The staff was incredible.. everyone we spoke to or asked assistance from helped with a smile and very friendly.. the morning breakfast was delicious and the shuttle bus driver was awesome.. i would definitely stay again.. and refer others..

The night shift female worker was super friendly and helpful even though we checked in at 11pm. Terrence was super helpful and helped me get the tv to work and still asked me if there was anything else I needed. It was great. Carolyn

The description states it’s a heated indoor pool and the pool was ice cold. Also the next day, everything states the check out time is 11am but house keeping walking into the room an hour before check in. We also had the do not disturb sign on.

The staff here was very friendly and attentive to both my group and all other guests I saw them interact with.

I held off a few days to review this property in hopes that management would contact me back for a credit, but of course, that didn’t happen. The front desk clerk indicated she would talk with her manager and call me back, still nothing. Our experience at this hotel was terrible. The first day, we checked into our room that we had paid for an extra person, which turned out to be $20 extra per night. We got into our room and noticed there was not enough towels for all four of us. When I went down to the front desk, I was told that they didn’t have any towels available and I would need to check back in an hour. I checked back an hour later and they still didn’t have any towels. By this time, it was after 10 PM and I wanted to go to bed. I didn’t get extra towels until close to 11 PM. To make matters worse, the TV in our room didn’t work. The front desk clerk let us know they would have maintenance check the next day. Breakfast the next morning was pulled off 15 minutes early with people still needing to eat. We didn’t get back to the hotel until 1130 p.m. and the TV worked at least….but our key cards to get into our room didn’t. We had to have our keycards redone 4 times during our three day stay! The last day, our TV once again didn’t work! Of course this was on a Saturday so maintenance wasn’t there. We went to use the hot tub since we couldn’t watch tv…. and it was luke warm and had brown foam in it. Very frustrating experience, don’t stay here!

Our stay was a nightmare! Started when we got to our room and heat was blaring wouldn’t shut off… so hot in the room we had to open the window. Our room was on the 3rd floor . I called the desk 7 xs in 2 hours no answer so went down stairs to desk no one around . Finally got room cooled down with window open and then two little girls started running up and down the halls until 2 am singing screaming etc. I then called front desk for help and the desk girl came up looking for the kids to stop them and then their teenage female family members were walking the halls and playing music. Played music down the hall outside the window until almost noon am … I then again contacted front desk. This was disappointing when I travel 5 + hours and this is what we get!!! I took all concerns to front desk at check out and was told nothing he could do now other than request manager to contact us. I have not heard a word .

Easy access to our baseball tournament

Would be nice if there was closer restaurants

Perfect for a night when I had to catch a flight out of Chicago and from my night returning back from over seas. I felt safe but didn’t do much exploring because I just needed a clean and safe place to put my head for the night. There is a target not to far away which was nice and some pizza places that deliver. But Chicago in general can feel unsafe, you just have to use common sense.

Off the beaten path, 45 minute drive to downtown Chicago. Safe area, very clean property, friendly staff, awesome breakfast options, short drive to shopping and food. Nice stay to avoid the hustle and bustle and price of downtown Chicago.

convient location

We are on a cross country trip in our class B RV (Sprinter van). We stopped in Chicago to see the sights in the area. We pick led this hotel based on other reviews and its proximity to local mass transit. It also has non covered parking so we could park our RV. We also chose the area as it seemed safe. It was a great stay, quiet and safe.

I would stay again, staff is friendly, I love the accommodations such as the dove body wash, soap lotion. Shower water pressure was excellent. Close to the highway, pool stays open late which is good if you have kiddos you want to put to bed and enjoy some "me" time. The hotel store had great snacks and beverages. The only negative was the breakfast, for the price I felt it could have been better. The eggs were dry and the omelet was not great. I feel omelets should be made fresh to order. Overall great stay and enjoyed my time there.

Cinnamon rolls were from a couple of days ago. Looked terrible. I stayed at this hotel last Wednesday and those rolls were completely different

The breakfast was not what I was expecting

This hotel had everything we needed for our stay. The room was large. Breakfast had a large variety and great cinnamon rolls.
