Had a wonderful stay here. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who had our room ready for us right away. He gave us clear information for the building and the breakfast. The other women working went above and beyond to make sure we felt like VIP. The hotel lobby and courtyard are beautiful. The room was lovely. Felt like we were staying in a Tuscan villa. Fresco on the ceiling and the decor really added to the ambiance. Would recommend this place and would stay again.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. 5 to 10 minute walk to the train station and to the cathedral. Was very central and walkable to a lot of places. They have a cute little courtyard and it was nice and quiet even though it was in the city center. I would stay there again, highly recommended.

Wonderful property , friendly and helpful staff. Quiet location but close to everything. I found the hotel by using maps but when you arrive there is not a traditional hotel sign, instead a plaque on the wall with a buzzer. They will let you in and you go upstairs to check in.

Very nice and safe hotel for female solo traveller. Very helpful staff and clean room! Walking distance to all the attractions. The building is quite hard to find as there's no sign at the entrance. There's also a convenient store rigtht next to the entrance of the building!

Perfect location on aside street between the train station and the cathedral. Beautiful old palazzo, our room had 16th century frescoes on the ceiling. Convenience store and restaurants nearby. Bathroom was renovated, staff very helpful.

Located on the first floor of a typical Florentine residential building this place spoke of elegance from the moment I entered. An extremely friendly and efficient lady checked me in early and look after my bags which she kindly offered to move to my room once it was free. The decor is beautiful here and my room, though small (you get what you pay for), was comfortable. Good quiet sleep was provided courtesy of blockout blinds. The bathroom was well appointed. It's a 5 minute walk from the railway station and about 10-15 mins to the Duomo and the Arno. It made my stay easy. Directly downstairs is a local style restaurant that was brilliant.

Lovely place to stay in Florence easy walking distance from everything. Quiet and away from the crowds but blocks from everything. Beautiful decor and large room for a single. Excellent coffee (and tea) available in the lobby at all times. It’s hard to find. No big garish sign outside. There is a small metal sign on the wall. It’s the first (or for Americans we would call it the second) floor only . Ring the bell to be buzzed in. Front desk people very nice and helpful. I will certainly stay here again

We booked this hotel last minute and were really happy with our choice. The front desk staff were so kind and super helpful from the moment we checked in. Our room was beautiful - high ceilings with a painted design, a comfortable bed, good air conditioning, and a clean bathroom with warm water and good water pressure. It even had a large soaking tub, which is pretty rare in Italy and felt like such a nice bonus after long days of walking around the city. The building itself is old in the best way. It's full of character, well cared for, and very charming. The location is perfect for exploring Florence on foot, with plenty of sights, restaurants, and shops nearby. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting.

The property is very old, pool facilities, good location though. They only have one physical key, and you have to lock using the physical key whether you are inside or go outside, bed sheet does not look that clean, I would not stay here again

When you pay $325 for one night, you're pretty surprised that your towel is ripped along one edge. At home I'd find something like that in the rag bin. In general the room was clean, but the shower base had been neglected over the years and was rusty/grimey. The furniture is on the cheap side, with chairs that are not high enough for the table. Check-in is at 14:00, but I couldn’t get in until 15:05. So the hotel appears to be understaffed. (The capable young woman who was at the front desk at 14:00 was there preparing and serving breakfast--in the lobby--at 8:00 while having to break now and then to check out departing guests. But if ceiling frescos are important to you, perhaps the other stuff won't bother you.

Love this hotel! The location couldn't be any better, everything is right outside the front door. Our room was updated and decorated beautifully, big enough for the 3 of us and our 6 pieces of luggage, so clean AND we had the best view of the Duomo outside our window! Thank you Giulia for your wonderful hospitality and fantastic recommendations, it was greatly appreciated, we will be back soon ❤️

The hotel is very nice and upon entering you feel like you're in a 5 star hotel. The lobby is very nicely decorated and the staff is attentive and wants to make you feel welcome. The rooms are small but this is to be expected in Italy. The only issue I had was the strange layout of the bathroom. The toilet was in the shower, which is something I've never experienced before. I know the room is small but this could have been planned a little better. There is a bidet which is outside the shower and would have made more sense to swap places with the toilet. Also, the light switch for the bathroom was across from the door hidden under the hair dryer. Other than those minor flaws the hotel was great. It is close to the train station and the duomo, so getting where you want to go is easy. I would definitely recommend the Hotel Burchianti

The rooms are small but this is to be expected in Italy. The only issue I had was the strange layout of the bathroom. The toilet was in the shower, which is something I've never experienced before. I know the room is small but this could have been planned a little better. There is a bidet which is outside the shower and would have made more sense to swap places with the toilet. Also, the light switch for the bathroom was across from the door hidden under the hair dryer. Other than those minor flaws the hotel was great. It is close to the train station and the duomo, so getting where you want to go is easy. I would definitely recommend the Hotel Burchianti

Best hotel room i have ever stayed in! The art on the walls are real 16th century paintings. Would stay again in a heart beat! We stayed in the Junior suite and would choose that size again because you could really spread out.

I’ll start with the positives—great location, and Laura, the hostess/concierge, was lovely. She was lovely and very helpful and sweet. The ceilings/paintings in the rooms are beautiful and apparently date back to the 16th century, adding charm to the stay. Now the negatives—extremely noisy. The walls are paper-thin, and you can literally hear everything. We stayed in Room 5, and could clearly hear noise from the main area, the street outside, and the rooms on both sides of us. The bed and mattress were also really old, creaky, and made noise whenever we moved. It felt like the furniture was from the 16th century too. The pillows were uncomfortable as well. The worst part was dealing with Mario, one of the male staff members. He was rude and unpleasant. When I politely asked for earplugs and mentioned the noise from the mattress, he immediately became defensive and started speaking loudly to me. He said I was the first person to complain and could go read reviews that no one else had issues. He also claimed they didn’t provide earplugs because no one had ever reported noise problems. This was clearly untrue as other reviews mention the same issues. For the price of the rooms, you'd think they’d invest in updating the beds, mattresses, and pillows. Hopefully, they’ll improve this and give Mario some basic training in customer service.

We booked this hotel last minute and were really happy with our choice. The front desk staff were so kind and super helpful from the moment we checked in. Our room was beautiful - high ceilings with a painted design, a comfortable bed, good air conditioning, and a clean bathroom with warm water and good water pressure. It even had a large soaking tub, which is pretty rare in Italy and felt like such a nice bonus after long days of walking around the city. The building itself is old in the best way. It's full of character, well cared for, and very charming. The location is perfect for exploring Florence on foot, with plenty of sights, restaurants, and shops nearby. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting.

As a woman travelling alone, I felt super safe at Hotel Burchianti. The staff were so friendly and made me feel at ease. They also let me leave my bags at the hotel after I checked out which meant I was able to visit one more museum before my flight home. The hotel is in a brilliant location. Generally Firenze is very walkable and, although the hotel appears in the corner of the city, it's just minutes from most major locations. It's also a few minutes walk from Unita tram stop which has direct trains to the airport. So the location is great for all needs. I only mark down due to the tired room. The bathroom needs a bit of love, especially the leaky tap. The room was basic but I feel this is reflected in the price. If the hotel is able to renovate the room a little then this would be a 5* review and I think hugely elevate the overall experience. That said, though, I'd certainly recommend Hotel Burchianti. Thank you for a lovely stay. I'm missing Florence immensley!

When you pay $325 for one night, you're pretty surprised that your towel is ripped along one edge. At home I'd find something like that in the rag bin. In general the room was clean, but the shower base had been neglected over the years and was rusty/grimey. The furniture is on the cheap side, with chairs that are not high enough for the table. Check-in is at 14:00, but I couldn’t get in until 15:05. So the hotel appears to be understaffed. (The capable young woman who was at the front desk at 14:00 was there preparing and serving breakfast--in the lobby--at 8:00 while having to break now and then to check out departing guests. But if ceiling frescos are important to you, perhaps the other stuff won't bother you.

I was on a 5 night solo trip & the staff could not have made me feel more welcome. As it is a small hotel you receive a personal touch. It was my birthday while there & my son & his partner arranged via Giulia beautiful flowers & champagne to be delivered to my room. Nothing was too much. It’s also in a perfect location central to everything as well as very beautiful.

It's located in a historic building so the twin room itself was simple, yet clean and functional. The AC was an added bonus in the summer heat; there's also a lift to get to the second floor. Lovely place to stay in Florence easy walking distance from everything. Quiet and away from the crowds but blocks from everything. Beautiful decor and large room for a single. Excellent coffee (and tea) available in the lobby at all times. It’s hard to find. No big garish sign outside. There is a small metal sign on the wall. It’s the first (or for Americans we would call it the second) floor only . Ring the bell to be buzzed in. Front desk people very nice and helpful. I will certainly stay here again

Hotel Burchianti is a great discovery, it’s only small but has lots of character and very helpful staff. It is close to everything - so very easy to walk around. If you opt for breakfast, it’s excellent value at €7 per person… no meat , eggs and cheese - but more than made up for by everything else. Room was comfortable - I slept really well

The receptionist guided us very kindly and helped us a lot. So convenient to park. Parking lot was right next to the building. The breakfast was very good, the location was really good. Trevligt hotell med centralt läge mittemellan tågstationen och katedralen, bara ett par minuters promenad till vardera. Mysiga rum med AC och safety box. Endast en enkel frukost bestående av yoghurt, croissant och kaffe, men helt ok och bättre än inget om man vill ha nåt i magen innan man ger sig ut.

Do not let the photos or the high price tag fool you. This place tries hard to project an image of luxury, but the actual experience falls completely flat. First off, it is vastly overpriced for what you get. The hotel is housed in an old building right in the center of Florence, which sounds romantic, but while the rooms are clean, they are furnished with period furniture chosen with zero taste, giving the impression of an outdated mismatch rather than charm. Sound isolation is practically nonexistent. You can hear every single footstep, conversation, people returning late to their rooms and slamming doors in the noisy corridors, making a peaceful night’s sleep almost impossible. To top off the lack of basic hospitality, at this premium price point, they do not even bother to provide complimentary bottled water in the room. Breakfast is another major letdown. It is served in what is essentially a glorified corner of the reception area. The spread consists almost entirely of cheap, overly sweet, low-quality pastries with very few real food. The staff doesn't help the situation either. Their attitude swings between indifferent and passive-aggressively rude, acting as if basic guest requests are an inconvenience. Florence has an incredible selection of accommodations. With so much competition in the city, it is genuinely not hard to find a far better, more comfortable, and truly welcoming place to stay for the exact same price. Skip this one.
Do not let the photos or the high price tag fool you. This place tries hard to project an image of luxury, but the actual experience falls completely flat. First off, it is vastly overpriced for what you get. The hotel is housed in an old building right in the center of Florence, which sounds romantic, but while the rooms are clean, they are furnished with period furniture chosen with zero taste, giving the impression of an outdated mismatch rather than charm. Sound isolation is practically nonexistent. You can hear every single footstep, conversation, people returning late to their rooms and slamming doors in the noisy corridors, making a peaceful night’s sleep almost impossible. To top off the lack of basic hospitality, at this premium price point, they do not even bother to provide complimentary bottled water in the room. Breakfast is another major letdown. It is served in what is essentially a glorified corner of the reception area. The spread consists almost entirely of cheap, overly sweet, low-quality pastries with very few real food. The staff doesn't help the situation either. Their attitude swings between indifferent and passive-aggressively rude, acting as if basic guest requests are an inconvenience. Florence has an incredible selection of accommodations. With so much competition in the city, it is genuinely not hard to find a far better, more comfortable, and truly welcoming place to stay for the exact same price. Skip this one.

Hotel Burchianti was an amazing place to stay for a solo traveler. It was clean, safe, centrally located and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to come to Florence again and I will stay here again in the future!

My absolute favourite place to stay in Florence and I’ve stayed in Florence four different times. The rooms have breathtaking 16th century frescoes on the ceilings and are something out of a dream. Free coffee and water in the lobby, lovely staff.
