Hampton Inn Pickwick Dam-At Shiloh Falls

Facility was clean and nice. Good open area in the back for my dog with waste bags. I left some expensive clothes in the closet and they held them for me until a friend could pick them up... what a relief. Thanks!

It was clean and comfortable I brought 2 small dogs, very accommodating I could not figure out the thermostat, I should have called for help.

We were traveling with our 2 Border collie, on our way to visit Shiloh Military Battlefield, and loved how they were welcomed like any other guest! The hotel is recently renovated and is CLEAN AND VERY TASTEFULLY APPOINTED! Everything has been well thought out. The hot FREE breakfast in the morning is wonderful. The view from our room facing east, overlooked a wooded pond and golf course. Location is perfect. Pickwick Dam State Park 1 mi away, and awesome dining option at the Lodge. Can't say enough about this stop on our 13 day "Southern Dog Trip".

Nice pool, friendly staff

We stayed at this Hampton Inn because it was the only hotel near our destination. However, I feel $75 per pet is too much to charge. It doubled the rate of our stay. I had no other options.

Property was great. Location is great. Gym was nice. Only issue , property was hidden from street view via trees.

The property was great. The Hampton policy for pets is ridiculous at $75 dollars plus a $50 refundable charge.

Wonderful stay, we have stayed here twice for a total of 3 nights. The breakfast is plentiful and very good, the rooms are clean, I used the fitness center and it was spotless….in fact the entire hotel was spotless. What really made the experience a 100 out of 10 is the staff. They are friendly and helpful even providing my husband with a drill when he needed to make a minor repair to our truck. I guarantee your furry friends will never be treated better! They love dogs and it shows in their welcoming attitude, our Sophie was sad to leave. Thank you to Carol and the entire staff for a fantastic stay.

The orignal room they had for us wasnt ready so they put us in another which was the same so it was fine. Upon getting into the room and unpacking we noticed a huge gap in the door, you could see right into the hallway and vice versa with the door closed, they moved us to another room which was fine. The new room also had a gap in the door but smaller and the toilet was running non-stop. It was the last room they had available so I didnt bother bringing it up to the front desk. The place had a foul smell in the hallway as well. Now for the good, staff was awesome and the breakfas was delicious.

We had been in the motel approximately a hour and a half. Pull back the sheets on the bed and find blood on the pillow case and the sheets. When to front desk to talk to night manager. There was no housekeeper on staff at night. She brought some sheets. After she left I would a blood stain on top of toilet. I talked to manager about getting a refund. She said we couldn’t get a refund because we booked through Orbitz. Worst service and experience ever at a hotel! Never staying at another Hampton Inn.

The place has been reinvented and is nice. Big TVs, soft bed, cozy sheets, big soft pillows. Direct TV. However the shower did not work, would not engage. There was a roach on the wall above the toilet. But we enjoyed our stay! P.S. its close to all the restaurants and bars!

Great staff however the TV did not work. I called and they connected me to the property maintenance and they knew 104 and 108 TV was out. We stayed two days without a TV. No room service either.

Comfortable bed, polite staff, clean room, coffee and baked cookies in the late afternoon, nice view.

My first room I checked in, the TV did not work, so they moved me to another room which was nice but the first time using the toilet it was unknown plugged and started flooding when I flushed and maintenance had to be called

Bed was so comfortable (better than my expensive adjustable bed). Quiet beautiful area, elevator could use some maintenance but had a great stay.

I had trouble getting the tv to work, it would be nice if directions would be handed out. Perhaps it is my age but it took awhile to get it to connect

I’ll start by saying that I have stayed here every year for more than a decade to see family. This is the 1st time I’ve had a negative experience. I checked in Friday the 6th and was to check out Tuesday the 10th. I checked in, we got our key cards and headed to the room that night. I get a text from my Discover card saying that my $910 had already been applied to my card. Which I thought was odd because the charges usually don’t hit until the end of the stay. But I figured oh ok, maybe things have changed. The next day my girlfriend and I took our showers and were about to get dressed when the door opens and a strange couple enter the room. Luckily we were around the corner and were not seen. They left as soon as they saw our bags in the floor. As I was putting on my clothes to go see what was happening I get a call from the front desk. The lady at the desk asks “were you supposed to check out today?” I said “no. We have this room until the 10th” she says, “ok. Thank you” then hangs up. I go down stairs to show her my room confirmation. She’s says “Oh! I see what has happened. The desk person last night didn’t check you in”. I asked if there is now an issue. She responded with “oh no not at all”. They credited and recharged my card so many times that it hit my cards limit. Then demanded I pay them more by 11pm. I’m 500 miles from home and have no money left. I had to borrow the rest just to make it home. This was only the 2nd day. More problems followed everyday thereafter.

Check in was fast and easy. Staff were all super nice! Breakfast was complimentary and excellent! 10/10 would stay again!

The stay was fine until 4:00 am, the fire alarm goes off and we have to evacuate immediately. We had to wait fifteen minutes for the fire chief to come turn off the alarm. We go back to bed and ten minutes later, it goes off again. We had to evacuate the building AGAIN. I asked if we could get a discount for the inconvenience and she told me no and laughed at me. I felt strongly that we deserved some type of discount on this stay or a future stay but she tole me she couldn't do anything for me.

I did not receive the room I reserved! I ordered a king room study with a sofa bed. It did not. No sofa, no sofa bed, just a bed. I asked the clerk could he move me into the room i purchased, he said he wasnt a house keeper so he doesn't know what types of rooms they have. Then he said he could move me into a double queen bed room but that i would have to purchase ANOTHER ROOM! He wanted to pay for another room to be able to receive the room i already paid for! I adked him to just chanfe my key card to the room with two beds, he said couldn't. Id have to purchase another room. So i ended up have to share my bed bc i did not get the room i purchased. I needed the sofabed for my gurst to sleep on. But no! I was asked to purchase another room to have that option.

There is virtually nothing around this facility regarding food or shopping. We had to drive over 10 miles for a selection of restaurants.

Hampton needs a bigger sign, hard to find

Really quiet spot in a forest. The staff was very friendly and everything was so clean. There are plenty of dining options within a 5 minute drive. I would definitely stay here again!

Their continental breakfast was limited and unappealing. While I understand the gear toward "holiday" flavors i think not having a plain option is a lack of for sight
