Beautiful Cedar Chalet Lake Cabin on Middle Lake!!!

The cabin exceeded our expectations! It was perfect for a cozy New Years weekend. We got the fire going and settled in for board games and crafting in the spacious main room. We cooked all our meals in the kitchen, which had all the necessary supplies. The beds were cozy & the couches were plush. Our only complaint was that the darts didn't match the board so we couldn't play ; )Would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin is cute and there were the right amount of beds and comfortable space for our group of 9. There is a beautifu deck view of quiet Middle Lake. Though the lake is very shallow, it is clear and was perfect for kayaking and paddleboarding. We caught panfish, bass, and northern, on Middle Lake and also when we paddled through the channel to the bigger lake. The communication was perfect - very fast response time. Thank you!

Overall, a pretty nice, secluded cabin. It was clean and had pretty much everything we needed for our stay. Some firewood for the fireplace would have been nice, though. A working hot tub would’ve made this the greatest cabin rental in the area. Great communication with the owner.

Our family had a wonderful time at your cabin. We were in the area for a family wedding. The kitchen had plenty of plates and utensils.

A great pine cabin on a nice lake on a quiet street. This was our 2nd stay for my husbands birthday with our adult kids. It's a large house with a sunroom and large deck and great bar area with a tv and dart board. We are too small of a family to live that big in the house and take advantage of all it has to offer, but have had a great time both times. The detached garage is great for your grilling needs which we all appreciated. Host is phenomenal and communications were great and have nothing but praise for our experience.

Another great week at the Middle Twin cabin. The cabin is just as described. The deck is awesome overlooking the lake. The water level was quite low this year, but we were able to get our 16 ft fishing boat through the channel from South Twin. Great fishing for the kids.

We had a great 4th of July weekend at this cabin - it had plenty of space for all of us, was right next to a lake where we could do some paddle boarding, and the deck was perfect for hanging out. Would highly recommend!

The property owner was always very quick to respond to any and all inquiries we had. The property was perfect for our family and exactly what we expected. Everything was very clean and had all amenities we needed. We did rent a pontoon and needed to push it through the channel that connects the lake this property is on with South Middle Lake. This was not a surprise to us as this information was provided by the property owner. We caught plenty of fish on South Middle Lake and had a great time.

This is a gorgeous property. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you should need during your stay. It has a very nice layout. The outside is absolutely amazing! A nice area for the family to sit around and have a campfire with nice chairs, a picnic table and two tables so you can put your fixings for s’mores and food on them. The deck off of the living room is very large with chairs that was very nice to sit out there and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful setting. The lake itself if mucky but if you don’t mind that then it is perfect, you can swim or relax in a tube, they even provide 2 of those! It entertained my grandkids for hours! For those of you that aren’t fans of the muck you can sit on the bench that is on the right there on the pier! There is plenty of parking space, we had 2 full size trucks and a 30ft trailer, and still had a lot of yard area. There is a nice electric Pit Boss pellet grill that can also be used as a smoker. There are neighbors on both sides, but the trees provide a lot of privacy! We all had a wonderful time and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The cabin had a nice layout and was very well kept. The snowy trees and frozen lake provided a gorgeous backdrop! We enjoyed our stay relaxing at the cabin and visiting Hayward. Thanks!

Positive: property & home were beautiful, it looked & smelled clean, responses to questions were prompt.Negative: the ad stated lake levels were low & showed a dock but it wasn't in - the owner put the dock in the next day - nice gesture. My daughter canceled last minute - I notified the owner there was no dog & they refunded the 50 pet deposit - nice gesture. Fridge & stove are outdated - no bars on the fridge door so you lose 1/3 of the storage & had to reconfigure shelves to fit a gallon of milk. Stove was old, could have been cleaner but worked. For the price, upgraded appliances would be nice. Big issue was bugs in 2 lower level beds. NOT bedbugs-beetles-but we vacated those 2 rooms. Bugs were found day 5 after extreme heat/humidity on days 3 & 4. Sent the owner videos & pics & asked them to come that night to witness them. Housekeepers were sent @ noon day 6 but bugs were gone. The owner kept saying we left doors & widows open. WE DID NOT! It was almost 100 & humid & the AC barely kept up. We absolutely went in & out of the doors TO USE THE DECK FOR THE 3600 VIEW BUT WE DID NOT LEAVE DOORS & WINDOWS OPEN! I asked nicely if they would consider reimbursing at least 1 day but they basically implied I was lying about the bugs and IF bugs were there it was MY FAULT for leaving doors and windows open. We gave up. We tried to enjoy the remaining 24 hours of our vacation, packed up and left a day early. Not bashing the owner, but I was really offended by their comments.

My nearest and dearest girlfriends and I get together once per year and choose a different location on the map each time as we are all coming from different directions. We would absolutely come back to this cabin at this time of year. The leaves were BEAUTIFUL, the cabin and property was very quiet and private. It is tucked at a dead end, so we enjoyed going for long walks during the day. It is close to a few different restaurants so we checked those out in the evening hours. The views from the deck out onto the water are amazing- we spent most of our time here. The cabin was very clean and exactly what we desired. The only issues we ran into, which were very minor, were the outdoor garbages being full when we arrived, and there was a liquid substance at the bottom of the fridge that must have leaked from previous attendants' food. Either way, we notified the property owner. Germel was very responsive and explained that the garage service isn't very reliable out there. We had everything we needed for our stay and thoroughly enjoyed this cabin and location. Highly recommend this host and cabin.

This was such a fabulous place. Host was great, the location was perfect for our Crew of 4 and 7. Couldn't ask for any better accommodations. We did have a WIFI issue for a bit, but made it work.

Beautiful cabin with amazing view of the lake. The fireplace adds to the ambiance and coziness. Kitchen is small but well stocked. Frigid temps kept us inside but we stayed busy with games and puzzles we brought with.

Five friends from middle school had our 2nd Annual Reading Retreat, and absolutely loved the place. Quiet, beautiful view, nestled in the trees with super comfy furniture, fully stocked kitchen and cozy wood burning fireplace. Host always responded to messages quickly, check-in and check-out was smooth. We’re already talking about when we’ll come back.

Our stay in the Cedar Chalet was great! Communication is timely and thoughtful. Check-in and check-out are a breeze. We felt that the place was well stocked including dishes, utensils, paper towels, and cleaning items. We had a longer stay and needed extra TP, Germel was responsive and we were supplied with more than needed for the rest of our stay. While the lake levels are low and the lake is a bit mucky, we made the best of it with our paddle boards and ability to pull a smaller boat through the channel. You can't go wrong with the area though, hosting many lakes to visit just minutes from the chalet. We will book again...fall, winter, spring, and summer!

A small group of friends and I stayed for the weekend during the winter and this place is truly magical! Check in was easy, and the cabin was absolutely stunning. We’ve already discussed coming back! The host communication with me was amazing as well.

Great spot and great house! I was hoping the lake would be good for floating but at the end of the dock it’s maybe 1-1/2 ft deep. No worries because we had plenty of fun watching football on the big screen in the basement and playing games upstairs. We had an issue with the garage door and the owner was very responsive and sent someone over that day. Would recommend!

The owner has notes everywhere as if children are staying here and don’t know how to behave. I completely botched and double booked the weekend. Seeing that this was our 4th time to this property (yes we keep trying it hoping they will get some hot pads that don’t have holes, some spices, etc not well stocked)the owner was completely unwilling to work with me. NEVER AGAIN!

Everything is as advertised , great cabin and neighborhood . Good fishing , lake was too low to get our pontoon in to middle lake but we managed . That was the only bad part of our trip . I think we’ve been to this same cabin for 3 or 4 years , all good .

Stayed for New Year's Eve weekend, had a super cozy time visiting with family playing cards, enjoying the fireplace, and watching the Vikings loose big-time to the Packers. Nice cabin, quiet area good for walking and getting away from the city.
