We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The grounds were beautiful and the staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms and beds were very comfortable. Only downside was their pool was under construction. Because of that they offered us complimentary breakfast for our stay. Loved being able to dine outside next to the ocean with the most amazing sunsets!

I read reviews saying the property was outdated, but we found the decor quite pleasing. The property is beautiful and staff are kind. We enjoyed the pool, but the steep incline in the pool can be dangerous. It is slippery.

The reception staff was very courteous. The room was clean but looked somewhat worn down. The pool was our biggest disappointment. The water didn’t seem very clean and the bottom tile was slippery. Like a slippery film was on it. The restaurant food was good and the staff friendly, although we had some service issues.

We stayed for 2 nights on the tail end of our island hopping and it was the perfect place to wind down in Papeete! Lots of parking, close enough to downtown area, great pool and beach setup as well as a nice lagoonarium. The room was very spacious for 4 and had a huge balcony.

There was no mention on Hotels.com, even in the recent reviews, that the POOL IS CLOSED! It\'s totally torn up under renovation. The receptionist said "we sent you an email." There was no email. Obviously, we wanted a pool. It\'s Tahiti. Word to the wise: It\'s going to be a long time until it\'s open by the looks of it. Restaurant was good, though. Beach is not the prettiest, but nice easy waves and beautiful black sand.

Location of the hotel is quiet and peaceful with surrounding mountains., bus stop is around the corner . Taxis were expensive.! The pool looks natural with a waterfall cascading into it. it feels like you are in the rainforest. It has a Black sand beach that are just steps away from the hotel . You need to get a key from the front desk to access the beach. Dining has a great view overlooking the water . Continental breakfast was ok, it didn't offer many varieties ( but I am vegetarian so that might be why) The rooms were clean with a Polynesian design. The lower floor is nice because the slider opens to a cement patio and grass with views of the mountains. You can see the ocean from a far and listen to the waves. Hot tub is under renovation ( darn, I wish I knew that)

This property has potential but is tired. Other than a view of the ocean from the restaurant you would never know it is ocean front as there is a concrete wall blocking the beach and ocean view for the entire property. Even if they're fighting coastal erosion, it would seem there would be a way to actually enjoy the ocean front setting better than what's in place currently.

This hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport by taxi. The room are average size and nicely finished. There is a nice patio with chairs. The AC is good. The beds are large and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower is a little low. There are no USB ports. Bring an adpater. There is a nice pool. There is a small black sand beach. The property is walled and you need a key card to get thru the gate. Grounds are nicely manicured. Front desk staff provide good service. There can be a line at checkout time. Ther restaurant is very nice, good selections and good staff. You need a reservation on some nights because locals also come here. There is an ATM and convenience store just outside the property. If you want to pull towels you have to walk to the front desk.

I traveled all the way to Tahiti to spread my son’s ashes in the ocean, and this hotel on the Expedia website website said, bask in the sun on our black sand beach. There was no place to lay on the beach, and it was filthy, with trash. I had pre-paid four nights, but we ended up checking out after two nights and moving to the Te Moana. They didn’t have towels for us to go to the pool. I would like to get a refund of the two nights that I prepaid due to false advertisement. The emotional importance of my trip could not have been spent at the royal Tahitian.

The rooms on the first floor were large and had a full fridge, cooktop, microwave and kettle. The beds were very comfortable. The beach is quite limited but the pool was very nice. The grounds were beautiful however the roosters wake up very early. Parking was excellent.

Overall good property, basic but very clean. Quite far from the city centre by busy street.Water front but no view, only in the restaurant. Nice swimming pool and beautiful ad well kept grounds.Food was excellent for lunch but disappointing at the dinner time.

It is a lovely place to stay . Very quiet and beautiful. Staff at front desk is very helpful. The staff that attends to the rooms never came to my room to clean during my time there. To swim in the pool was a separate charge. Even though it’s apart of the hotel. Not sure why it isn’t included .

Front desk was awesome. Tried very hard to accommodate our very early arrival. Bathroom had a bit of mold but otherwise everything was clean. Grounds of hotel and the pool are lovely. My only disappointment was that the hotel was too far from anything to walk in the hot/humid weather.

The hotel rooms are constructed at an angle so each person’s patio is very private. The grounds are lovely with a nice pool. There is a restaurant right at the black sand beach edge. They serve a buffet breakfast at about $20 per person. The hotel is in a quiet, safe area. It is on the opposite side of Papeete than the airport. So taxi ride at least $20 from the hotel to the city center. Also from airport to hotel at night it was $50 taxi. I suspect that was a padded fee.

Arrived late flight en route to Moorea and needed a night stay and it served the purpose. AC worked well, bed was comfortable. Shower a bit dated and no washcloths but very acceptable for a one night stay. No elevator to 2nd floor made it difficult with heavy luggage.

However, the rooms could benefit from simple fixes like shower curtains and having appliances that plug in close to the outlets. Just minor things, but could help. Also, WiFi was very slow, which is tough when updating travel plans

We didn't have a balcony so no view, but the sliding glass door to outside sitting area took all my strength the open it. It's old and should have it replaced, or the part that slides updated.

Great stay. Beautiful grounds, pool was prefect. We only stayed here one night on our way to Moorea. We loved the room although the bathroom is a little dated. The bed was super comfortable. My husband agreed we had a great night sleep, plus it was very quite. We would stay again.

The hotel is a reasonably hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Hotel grounds well cared for. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was reasonable, approx 3km’s from Downtown Papeete, nothing a short bus ride or taxi ride couldn’t fix. The restaurant was left wanting. The service was very poor, sometimes very slow, and wait staff abrupt. This was extremely disappointing, especially given there were no other eateries within a reasonable distance.

All was good , a bit dated, needs updating . Staff very helpful and friendly . Highly recommend this place . Very nice ocean area location and beautiful gardens. Restaurant staff was extremely rude , lazy , non helpful and out right useless . We recommend this hotel for comfortable stay but strongly condemn the restaurant staff and advise others to find other places near by for their food needs .

We arrived late and were greeted by an employee. That was nice that they waited for us due to a delayed flight. We had a hard time with communication but got to our room ok. The next morning as we checked out and asked for a shuttle we discovered we were charged for transportation we didn’t take. We looked for our name the night before as we asked for transportation to the hotel but we never saw anyone waiting for us. Our name was not in any of the signs. We only found out that they charged us because we were told they were there to pick us up but we never saw them. We never received any reply to our request to begin with prior to our trip. With that said, the shuttle to take us back to the airport was very accommodating and even took us to do some shopping as my luggage didn’t make it with me. The stay was alright and the breakfast was expensive for only being basically a charcuterie board type breakfast. I don’t think we will ever stay there again though based on this experience.

We loved the property, including the scenery, beach, pool, wildlife (delightful dogs, white cat, roosters and chickens). The food was very good. Loved the ocean view from the restaurant. Loved the black sand beach! The man (and dog) that met us at 4 a.m. were very nice. The room was great! Loved the little gift of monoi oil! The staff could have been more accommodating. The maintenance man at tge pool was using an electric pool cleaner in the pool in the middle ofctge afternoon while we were swimming. There was too much confusion at the front desk trying to get a taxi to our ship. We pre-ordered an 11 a.m. pickup, but they didn't order it until 11 a.m., delaying our pickup by at least an hour.

Good price. Day staff ok. Night staff non existent. Guard didn’t speak English. Arrive at 10 pm. No water to purchase at desk and none in the room. The A/C was not on in the room and it was HOT! A/V needed room key in the slot to work. Took Hours to cool off. Walking to our room was through the grounds and no lights nor directions to buildings. Lots of stairs to room. Nice beach front with restaurant. Ok for a short stay. Hotel arranged a transfer from airport for a fee. About 15 or 20 mins with no traffic. I would not choose again. Bite the bullet and pay the big bucks.

Jolie nouvelle piscine. Dommâge que le budget n'ai pas été alloué à la réfection des salles de bain... Baignoire ses 60's, robinetterie idem... bref un coup de neuf ferait du bien. Réception du wifi dans les chambres quasi nulle !!! J'ai demandé un réveil à 4h00 du matin pour prendre mon avion, on m'a appelé à 4h20 !!

Not much around the hotel except two gas stations with food but no booze. Hotel bar a little pricey but cheaper than taxi. The hotel pushes the $33 morning breakfast but i had toast and coffee for $8 which was all that i wanted. TV is 100% french. Overall a bargain. The beautiful gardens and free range roosters made up for any shortcomings.

Great hotel, nice and quite, about 3km out of town. Most guests had a hire car that were staying there. We also had a hire car which made getting in and around Tahiti easy and we could do at our own pace. Rooms were very large - like an apartment.

Lovely grounds and good sized clean room however, a dated property. Restaurant is very over priced for limited buffet breakfast and evening meals. In residential area with few choices for restaurants. Staff was not overly helpful, dont know if that was a language problem.

The hotel staff was really welcoming, warm and professional. They even worked at checking us in even before our check-in time. The room was spacious and clean. The only thing I didn’t like was that the towels were brown instead of white and there was no tissue boxes available in the room which is essential. The breakfast was nice but was missing eggs; you got to provide eggs for the regular continental breakfast. The restaurant was great, we love the beach front, it gives a relaxing and romantic feel while eating. We also enjoyed the live music playing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Overall we had a great stay, thanks to the nice, jovial and caring staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel room was roomy and clean. The gardens are beautiful and constantly attended. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The view of the bay from the restaurant was superb and the breakfast was very good. Order the crepes and pancakes in addition to the available fruit. Yum.

Stayed on a 2 day stopover in Tahiti. Chose this one as it seemed a decent budget option and, due to flight times Vs ferry schedule, it made sense to stay on Tahiti as we couldn't spend 2 nights on another island. In terms of quality, the hotel was clean but very dated. The staff were helpful (we checked in late and they kept reception open, booked us taxis). We had an issue with our room key not working, but this was sorted immediately. The hotel is just outside Papeete and it took us half an hour to walk from the hotel to the waterfront, although there's not much on the way except garages as it's a main road. The restaurant and bar on-site are fantastic! No more pricey than Papeete, lovely people, live music on the weekend, wide menu and, importantly, great food!

The rooms were nice. Very nice restaurant right on the ocean. We watch the sun go down with the island of Moorea in the distance. On the weekend they have entertainment in the bar area with a dance floor. Very nice. Good food.

My stay was just not good, I arranged a transfer with the hotel from the airport & they charged me twice what a taxi would have cost. The woman at the breakfast was rude, breakfast was not good, items gone & not replaced (eggs), the cost of breakfast was very high for what they offered, the black sand beach was a joke, the pool was very small & had very little chairs. The room was ok, typical of most hotels. I would not stay here again.

The first night was in a run down room, but we stayed a week later and it was a very nice room, though the shower tub could ise updating. A nice though expensive breakfast buffet. The restaurant is a beautiful setting with tahitian vibes on the shoreline. Good food and good bands playing with locals dancing on weekends. Nice little pool, but very friendly and helpful staff. Overall, a less expensive option that worked fine for quick stays.

Hôtel très bien. Nous étions à l’hôtel un dimanche alors c’était dommage car le restaurant et bar de l’hôtel étaient fermés. Nous aurions aimé que le bar reste ouvert afin d’apprécier un cocktail en après-midi sur la terrasse face à l’océan pour terminer nos vacances avant de prendre l’avion.

This hotel was right on the beach which was nice. The rooms were nice sized and clean but the shower did not have a full shower door so the water sprayed all over the bathroom while we showered and the floor kept getting really slippery but besides that our stay was great. The restaurant in the resort was right on the water with a beautiful view. I wasn't impressed with our food or drinks but we had a nice time there and the staff was nice.
