imperial rooms

I was really happy with my stay at Imperial Rooms. This is not a luxury property but the staff are lovely and ensure you have a safe and secure experience next to the Coliseum. There is no elevator but staff jumped to help me carry my luggage up to the 1st floor. It was remarkably quiet. Everything was very clean. However, the bed could use an upgrade. You must leave your key on site and buzz in after hours but there is always someone at the desk. I would recommend Imperial Rooms for folks on a budget.

Location is great. A block away from the colosseum and metro station. plenty of good restaurants downstairs on the street. The only downside it was that the room was completely different from the pictures. On the website looked like a very Italian and cute decor … in reality it was very plain and nothing like it was offered. Overall it was a good experience and would recommend the place based on location and friendly staff.

The AC in the first room did not work. We asked to move rooms and ended up in the front of the hotel, which was nice. We never saw a breakfast area and it was never mentioned. There is no elevator and after walking around Rome all day, climbing three floors of marble stairs was exhausting. The rooms were nice, the furniture was like you see in the photos (Don't let the wide-angle shots fool you though - The rooms are small)
