Andrea made our weekend unforgettable by going above and beyond in every way—from timely communication during booking to ensuring our stay was perfect. La Casita truly has it all: breathtaking views, a fabulous movie collection, a wonderful variety of visiting birds (and even deer!), a cozy stack of books, a fire pit, bathrobes, comfortable rocking chairs, a massive bed, beautiful furnishings, and an amazing hot tub. It was the perfect setting for a life-changing moment, too—I proposed to my partner here, and there was no way she could say no in such a magical place! We can’t wait to come back and relive the memories of this special retreat. Thank you!

The pictures of this property are lovely. The property itself is even better! Everything about it is relaxing, calming and renewing. We didn't end up seeing nearly as much of hill country as we planned because we were always anxious to return to the cottage in the afternoon to sit outside and enjoy the back porch and meadow. This is one of the best equipped VRBOs I've seen from kitchen utensils, spices really nice grill, bathroom amenities, etc. We also really enjoyed meeting Andrea and Mike. Such nice people! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

The casita was beautifully kept. The host thought about every amenity possible. It is a peaceful and quiet area. Deer came walking up to the house in the morning and there were tons of birds on the feeder. The hot tub is perfect for cold nights. This weekend was the perfect getaway.

My husband and I loved being here as we had some life admin to do and wanted a relaxing staycation to accomplish it. We accomplished everything on our list then went to drink wine nearby then relaxed in the hot tub. The home was gorgeous. Very nice and extremely well designed home. New appliances and the entire home was well stocked / supplied for a great stay. Very comfortable bedding. We enjoyed complete privacy and great country views. The carport is a plus. If anything, the property description understates what you'll find upon visiting. We hope to enjoy the home again one day.

The owners thought of everything one might need to make their stay awesome, including ample toiletries, towels, and kitchenware. The hot tub is an amazing spot to watch all of the birds and wildlife, and the deck and rocking chairs allowed for early morning tea with a view. Access to a yoga mat made it possible to continue my practice, and it was fun to explore the surrounding neighborhoods on foot to stretch the legs. The location excellent and is in close proximity to dripping springs where there are breweries, wineries, and restaurants galore.

What a great location and home. Such a great and loving story if you get a chance to visit. Even though the main house is close, the houses look in different directions. Super clean and comfortable. So many personal touches everywhere from the bedroom to the kitchen. So many kitchen supplies are provided that generally have to be bought and thrown away at the end. The house is supplied by rainwater which is fun and sustainable as well. The bed was a bit soft for my taste but to each his own.

This Casita was fantastic! Beautifully crafted, landscaped, and decorated. My wife and I were looking for a quiet, private place to get some "us" time in, and this was it. Early mornings were spent on the back deck, watching the birds and deer sweep through the property, and sipping on the plentiful coffee and tea. We explored some of the many distilleries and wineries in the area, and spent the evenings watching the sunset and enjoying the serene mood. It really was sublime! The hosts were incredibly accommodating! Communication was free flowing on the day of, which I greatly appreciated. Mike, one of the hosts, greeted us upon arrival and was helpful with restaurant and activity suggestions in the area. There wasn't a single thing I would change about our visit and I won't hesitate to book again if we ever get the opportunity!

The inside is an architectural delight-lovely vaulted ceiling with large picture windows that entice you onto the back deck where you can enjoy a multitude of wildlife. Every need has been thought of by the gracious hosts. Uncomplicated, understated elegance-you will LOVE it!

I share this cautiously, because I want to share the truth about this magical property, but I hope it doesn’t become so popular that I won’t be able to book it again for my future annual trips to Austin!For an individual or couple who are looking for a quiet, peaceful, beautiful retreat in the Austin, I feel I found a gem that truly feels like “home“. The silence & the beauty of this land and structures is sublime. The setting of the Casita on the owner’s property with a total of 6 acres of lightly wooded, live oak trees offers amazing privacy for a weekend or a weeklong retreat. The design of the Casita is so architecturally, pleasing, simple & elegant. The decorations & attention to detail allow for a very comfortable elegant stay. The artwork in the house only adds & magnifies all the other elements.I sent a text to friends as I sat & watched the deer graze in an opening amongst the trees near sunset. This place is so silent…The only thing I hear are the birds & the butterflies!As I said to the owner on arrival in a text… “This is even better than advertised.” On my last full day there, the owners and I did get a chance to meet face-to-face. They keep a lovely distance so that you have privacy.Give yourself the gift of nurturing time at the Hummingbird, but try to leave a few days open for my next visit!

Andrea made our weekend unforgettable by going above and beyond in every way—from timely communication during booking to ensuring our stay was perfect. La Casita truly has it all: breathtaking views, a fabulous movie collection, a wonderful variety of visiting birds (and even deer!), a cozy stack of books, a fire pit, bathrobes, comfortable rocking chairs, a massive bed, beautiful furnishings, and an amazing hot tub. It was the perfect setting for a life-changing moment, too—I proposed to my partner here, and there was no way she could say no in such a magical place! We can’t wait to come back and relive the memories of this special retreat. Thank you!

The pictures of this property are lovely. The property itself is even better! Everything about it is relaxing, calming and renewing. We didn't end up seeing nearly as much of hill country as we planned because we were always anxious to return to the cottage in the afternoon to sit outside and enjoy the back porch and meadow. This is one of the best equipped VRBOs I've seen from kitchen utensils, spices really nice grill, bathroom amenities, etc. We also really enjoyed meeting Andrea and Mike. Such nice people! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Then go find some good eats & live music less than 30 minutes away in Austin! The host was extremely quick to respond to messages (usually less than 10 minutes) and had GREAT recommendations of places to visit. Would stay here again - 10/10!!

Our 3rd time at the casita, and it won't be our last! Always well appointed, clean and comfortable--we love this place. Andrea and Mike are top-level hosts and even left food and wine for us after our flight got so delayed that we arrived close to midnight. 10-out-of-10 for this rental, always!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Casita. It was quiet and the host was very responsive during our stay. The area has so many cute towns close by and we enjoyed a recommended bakery in the area during our stay. I would love to come visit again and explore more. The Casita has all the amenities and was a perfect place for our trip.

The Hummingbird Casita is such a gem, and we had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay there. It is idyllic and so peaceful. Providing much needed rest and relaxation. The hosts are thoughtful and responsive. The Casita included so many thoughtful details and supplies. If we were ever in the area again, we'd most definitely stay at the Casita again!

This was such a beautiful place, very relaxing and peaceful. We made friends with several deer that came to visit and get some leftovers for breakfast and midday snack. Andra was quick to answer any question we had and gave us a great suggestion of a park near by to visit. After staying here, we have decided that we could retire to a place like this. A small home on an amazing property with daily wildlife visitors and bird watching. We hope to go back and stay again.

Beautiful property for a much needed getaway while still within driving distance to home for an ly emergencies. Although the listing and photos are very well done and 100% accurate, photos don’t do it justice. The back porch and meadow were a perfect setting to unwind, and we really enjoyed the birds and other wildlife. It was quiet and peaceful yet close enough to so many Hill Country attractions that we could hit several each day. Thank you for sharing this special space!

This Casita was fantastic! Beautifully crafted, landscaped, and decorated. My wife and I were looking for a quiet, private place to get some "us" time in, and this was it. Early mornings were spent on the back deck, watching the birds and deer sweep through the property, and sipping on the plentiful coffee and tea. We explored some of the many distilleries and wineries in the area, and spent the evenings watching the sunset and enjoying the serene mood. It really was sublime! The hosts were incredibly accommodating! Communication was free flowing on the day of, which I greatly appreciated. Mike, one of the hosts, greeted us upon arrival and was helpful with restaurant and activity suggestions in the area. There wasn't a single thing I would change about our visit and I won't hesitate to book again if we ever get the opportunity!

The owners thought of everything one might need to make their stay awesome, including ample toiletries, towels, and kitchenware. The hot tub is an amazing spot to watch all of the birds and wildlife, and the deck and rocking chairs allowed for early morning tea with a view. Access to a yoga mat made it possible to continue my practice, and it was fun to explore the surrounding neighborhoods on foot to stretch the legs. The location excellent and is in close proximity to dripping springs where there are breweries, wineries, and restaurants galore.

My husband and I loved being here as we had some life admin to do and wanted a relaxing staycation to accomplish it. We accomplished everything on our list then went to drink wine nearby then relaxed in the hot tub. The home was gorgeous. Loved watching the birds and staring at the curated art and book collection Highly recommend!

What a beautiful casita. The best stocked kitchen I’ve ever had. The hot tub is large with a gorgeous view of the property and the wildlife all their bird feeders attract. We wanted for nothing other than more time to spend here, so we will be back as soon as possible!

There are so many things we loved about our stay at the Hummingbird Casita. The host was incredibly responsive to our needs and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The casita itself was immaculate and had so many little details that made our stay perfect - there was filtered water for drinking, robes and a hangar near the hot tub, full kitchen set of utensils and plenty of coffee. The best part was the tranquil setting - you'll want to spend time on the porch just soaking up nature - the sound of the wind in the trees, the occasional white-tailed deer or rabbit sighting and of course the many wild birds that frequent the well-stocked feeder. This was truly a place to unwind, recharge and escape from the daily grind. We will definitely be back!!!
