Elevator by my room broken entire 5 day stay

We have been coming here every year for 4th of July and every year especially since Covid the property gets worse and worse, elevator didnt work, ice machine on our floor didnt work, the handicap door button on the Silo Lobby didn't work, the working elevator is dangerous and trys to close before you are out and with dogs in tow very scary and for husband in wheelchair. This property is not disability accessible, fight getting in and out of doors. Lights in the room didnt work, pictures on the wall taken down did not bother to fix the holes or cement that held pictures at one time. The front desk check in girl was very friendly, helpful and understanding when I relayed some of this which she stated she would leave a message for the manager. The check out guy was not so friendly and had a bit of an attitude when I questioned the amount charged on the card for the dog fees which was not what I was told at check in. It is a shame as this property has so much potential, location is perfect but we will be looking for a new place to go every 4th of July.

Arguably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Both elevators broken. Ripped towels. Rude staff. 0/5 stars. Do not stay.

Pool and hot tub were great. Breakfast was solid. Great variety. Gym would have been but the treadmill and weight machine were broken.

Major train line runs right next to the property - runs all night. Elevators out of service, and parking lot full of liquor bottles in the morning.

The train noise was unbearable. Tv didn’t work properly, windows dirty, only one elevator worked. No hot water, only warm. No shower gel. The refrigerator made noise.

Great breakfast but gym equipment was mostly out of order. Rooms are spacious but TV had no internet for streaming option.

My room was a good size I’m happy with that. My son slept in the sleeper sofa and he said he felt the springs hurting him on his back. Called front desk to ask for more blankets and pillows so we can cushion the sleeper a bit more . But they said they didn’t have any more, we would have to speak with management. This was late at night when we are exhausted. Also jacuzzi was not working. Not hot at all it was slightly warm. And with no lights to see where we step in. Hazardous. Breakfast was boiled eggs. Nothing savory like sausage to go with it. Just had bagels and bread and cereal. I’ve stayed at other Quinta hotels and nothing like this. I expected more from being in Irvine. Also when asked to have late checkout through the app they said I had to go to front desk to speak to management because they couldn’t do that. But they have that option in their app and I was willing to pay the extra fees. I’m trying to sleep in longer that’s why I want the late checkout but they insisted I had to go in person to show my ID and card, when they should have it on file. If they are gonna make me do all that then there’s no point in getting late check out. (Why have that option in the app) Not happy at all.

The room looked like it was from the 70s era. Tv didn’t work & clerk came in to fix it. But only got like 6 channels. Windows were so dirty I couldn’t see out to my car. Outside area had broken cement & elevators to get to lobby were broken. Had to walk through scary parking lot to lobby. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Not so happy. The free coffee was great the breakfast was not bad. First day opened the microwave and saw a roach run around inside. The carpet was dirty looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. I asked for housekeeping they said you have to ask in advance so they will do your room the day after tomorrow I waited they never did it. My husband complained and the guy said it wasn’t noted here no one told me he said I will make a note and no one ever came. We were there several days garbage overflowing, had to ask for towels and toilet paper. Maybe if they did housekeeping more often there wouldn’t be roaches.

Property is in depleted condition. Smelly rooms, dirty carpets. Will not return here..

There was mold in the bathroom and dirty carpet

The carpet was smelling once you enter the room. Cacaroach inside the cabinet were the microwave was.

Sink in bathroom was filthy with someone’s hair still in it. We went and complained and the front desk weren’t any help so we left. We didn’t end up staying. The room did not look like it had a good cleaning in awhile.

The rooms in the portion of the building we were given should not even be operational. I have never stayed in a worse room. I actually left at 1:00am and slept in my car. Dirty sheets. Plugged shower with grimy tub.

Found Bed Bugs

This place is disgusting! I wish I could give it zero stars. If you care about cleanliness DO NOT STAY HERE. I’m not one to leave a bad review unless it is very necessary to warn others. There was hair in the bathtub, leaking shower, gum on the carpet, ripped screen on window, no hot water, and the outlets didn’t work! We were there for 4 days and maid service never came to do anything. Chipped door frames to hotel rooms, patches of paint on the walls, overflowing trash cans. This place shouldn’t even be called a hotel and certainly has ruined the La Quinta name for me forever. And a word to whoever responds to all of the many complaints, don’t bother with your cookie cutter bulls%*^# response because it is clear and obvious that whoever runs this place could CARE LESS. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!

Could not upload the pictures unfortunately. Red stain on sheets, suspected it to be blood. The carpet was sticky on bare feet. Large red stain on the counter in the bathroom. The towel rack was falling down. Never again.

The hotel is right next to train tracks that had a train going by about every 20 to 30 minutes all day and all night

When we first booked our night, the rooms pictured seemed to be standard modern-ish rooms. The room they assigned us was inside the historic silo warehouse built in 1949 and converted to hotel rooms. We were struck by the cool industrial feel of concrete and metal in the entryway. The room itself was larger than expected and quite comfortable. We were very happy with the concrete walls that provided a lot of sound insulation from the other rooms. There was a train that passed outside several times, but, surprisingly, this did not bother us. The bathroom was clean and comfortable with good water pressure. The continental breakfast had a good variety (though a few more non-dairy options would be good - oatmilk creamer, for instance) 100% would stay there again.

The room was not great, there were dead moths, and live moths in the room. I killed a few spiders, the carpet was also dirty. The room was not cleaned during my stay. I feel there should be a warning that this hotel is literally right next to railroad tracks. Trains were coming at all hours and shook the hotel. On Friday morning a train was stopped for 1.5 hours (1am-2:30am) right outside of my window, it seem like it was adding or removing train cars. I will never stay here again, and will tell friends that is not a good place to stay.

Excellent service. Very clean big room with a super comfy bed. Nice pool. Overall just outdated and worn.

I stayed at this location for work trip. There are 2 buildings of rooms for this location. The Silo building is newer & updated, but it faces the metro link train. The train is loud & disruptive at night. The closer the room that is by train tracks the louder the noise…especially the first floor! The original building is older & furniture needs updating The train runs until 9 or 10pm …making it difficult to sleep. I did ask to be relocated but was told that there wasn’t availability. I stayed 3 weeks in a row. I couldn’t take the train traffic at night.

My room was in a separate building from the main hotel which was confusing to find at midnight. The room felt like a creepy bunker, made all out of concrete and industrial looking electricity. The shower didnt have a plastic curtain, so water went everywhere and it was slippery. Worst part is our room was RIGHT next to train tracks and trains would shake the room when they went by... which was relatively often.

Unbeknownst to me, my room was next to railroad tracks and the trains kept waking me up all night. Room literally would shake.

Staff were AWFUL. Motto should be “screw the guests. We booked TWO nights. Check in 4/28/2025 check out 4/30/2025. The male staff member (refused to provide name) said both reservations have been cancelled since we didn’t check in before 1am 4/29, but then said actually it’s 2am, actually it’s 3am — I asked if that’s the hotel policy, he said yes. I asked him to provide me with that policy because we were never notified of the cancellation and the only email I received from them was “how was your check in”. When I asked for the hotel policy he refused to provide it and said just “look it up, I told him I can’t find that policy anywhere. He then said “look book another night — it’s one night get out over it” I told him would I be charged? He said yes. I said will it be the same price or more? He said “a lot more”. I explained that’s not fair or right to me the guest, I reiterated I booked two nights already, called to tell the hotel we would be checking in late since we are driving 14 hours away they said that’s no problem at all. He argued and said all we can do is book another night, we asked to speak to the manager and he said “no”, a woman then said give us 10 minutes to figure it out. We come back and she has our original reservations back. She helped — he should be fired asap. He was rude, unhelpful, unprofessional, lied, and refused to provide the policy (which staff should do). Because of him I’ll never stay at this hotel again, I’d rather sleep on the street.

Had a wonderful weekend stay at La Quinta! The rooms are cozy and clean, and the staff is very helpful. Shout out to Eunice who helped me with my quick check in!

When I walked in I was greeted right away with a smile and a warm WELCOME! I've been here a few times and the woman behind the desk has helped me out before and she knows my special request alrwady so without saying anything she knew I wanted two extra towels :) Knowing what the guest wants before they ask is always a huge plus! Forgive me for not knowing her name but she’s so sweet.

The service was great!! Bree helped me when I got there and she was awesome!! Welcomed me like if we knew each other for years!! That’s a great feeling to get when greeted by anyone. Other than that the only issue I had was the shower. The drain would not drain and the water took a while for it to drain, but other than that. It was a good stay!!

We loved the room and Bree at the front desk was amazing. Bree made our stay wonderful. I asked for her each time. She was friendly and kind. Too bad the rest of the front desk aren't as kind as she is. She is the reason we kept staying there and didn't find a different hotel.

Experience was terrible from the beginning. Front desk staff was struggling to find our reservation. It took an hour of them texting and FaceTiming a manager to figure out the booking. After 40 minutes of waiting they finally offered us water and coffee… ridiculous. We finally got to our room and it was dirty. There was no soap for the sink or shower only lotion. Burn holes in bed sheets. Shower was clogged wouldn’t drain. And we found bugs around the room. Check out was easy though… thankfully. Cause I’ve never wanted to leave somewhere faster.

It’s started off great, got a message saying, “ We can't wait to welcome you at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham. Feel free to respond to this message if we can help in any way.” Well…. Friday June 27th myself and my kids(10 yrs old) went to the pool. They met some friends and were playing, there were two guest who thought it would be ok to smoke a marijuana blunt around the group of children. I asked them kindly to leave and they never did. I reported this to the text thread with the front desk and no response so I called the front desk and the finally came out after they were finished with their blunt. Then the front desk girl approached me at the pool and said, “ hey I spoke with them letting them know if they smoke again they’ll have to leave the pool, but your kids were splashing in the pool.” The group of 8-10 kids. Which only two were mine. So if you’re trying to stay here with children, it’s not a good choice. It clearly NOT KID FRIENDLY. Fast forward to that Sunday, I asked if we could get pool towels and never at any point did they get stocked.

Convenient to where I was working with several restaurants in walking distance.

Pet friendly & breakfast

The staff were always very helpful and kind. The facility itself is a bit strange. Felt very Fall Out Shelter vibes. It’s definitely not renovated or newish. Things feel old. However, it is clean. Plenty of outlets in the room. Room has a moist musty smell?Noise level is okay. Sometimes you can feel/hear the train go by. Not super loud like some places but also not super quiet. The breakfast spread in the morning is very basic and minimal.

Great Hotel, would come back again . Just thought there would be hot foods at the Breakfast other than the bagels /waffles , some other Hotels have a full on breakfast this ones had like partial! Amazing exclusive rooms I loved the layout !

The room was definitely unique. It was in sort of an octagon made of concrete. They advertise that breakfast is included, but the owner is vegetarian so if you're not vegetarian, you're out of luck. No meat, nothing but hard boiled eggs and Waffles aside from a continental breakfast.

The silo rooms are unique and comfortable, although our bed in room 235 needs a better mattress. The breakfast was very nice every day and the staff was friendly!

Very quick and easy check-in. Room was fine although we had a slow runny bathroom sink. Other than that the room was good. Breakfast was good too.

I have stayed in La Quinta Inn before, but this location (building) was weird. Previous bean factory with cement walls. I was not a fan. There was also a train passing behind our room/ building. The continental breakfast was plain. No eggs, no sausage. If it wasn’t for the waffle machine( everyone had no choose but to eat waffles.

All around i was completely happy with our stay i was a little disappointed that the breakfast didnt have breakfast meats it was mostly muffins Waffles and cereal but i would stay again for sure
