Great stay for family get togethers. This house sits on a dead end road with only one other house so there is minimal traffic to enjoy the Front porch while watching the river flow. Fire pit with chairs located under large trees perfect for late night get togethers. This house is a few hundred feet from a small store for renting life jackets etc. with a small bar/restaurant in front. With all the surrounding property trees you can not see the store so you still feel secluded.. the walking /bike trail also starts there. Across the road is the river access that makes it so easy for kayaking , rafting, fishing. Hot tub . Clean comfortable house with good dining and living room. Good water pressure which is always a plus. Very nice stay .. would recommend .

Everything was great! Kara is a great host and was very attentive. The house was clean and very spacious. Outside was where we spent most of our time. The fire pit is clutch and the proximity to the river was quite relaxing. We had a great time!

My siblings and all of our spouses (11 of us) had a great relaxing weekend at the river house. We loved the fact that the bike trail was just down the road, kayak rental was right next door as well as the lazy dog café just beyond that. Sitting on the front porch watching the sun sparkle off the river was wonderful. The house was very clean, The bathrooms were large and clean and there was plenty of room downstairs for spreading out and visiting. The hot tub was a great hit as well as evening fire at the fire pit.

This house met and exceeded all of our needs and expectations. Plenty of space for our whole party and the house was spotless. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the appliances we needed and the hot tub provided the perfect relaxation after a long day of activities. The river is just a 30 second stroll out the front door and all the amenities of town are just a 2 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the Yough valley.

We had everything we needed, except a cheese grater lol! Enjoyed the house, from the view on the front porch, a favorite, to the fire pit, and hot tub, nice layout. Picnic table needs a few nails. Love the proximity to bike trail and having a private space to walk into the water… kids loved it, moose in dining room was a hit!

This was our group's 11th yearly trip to the Yough Riverhouse. We enjoyed the updates in the home (flooring, outdoor walkways, porch swing and the roomy dumpster). The new siding looks very nice as well. The home always gives us plenty of places to gather, both indoor and out. The hot tub, fire ring and porch overlooking the river are our favorite outdoor spaces. Indoor, we gathered in the TV room to watch the Olympics and played games into the night at the dining table. The beds are comfy, although the lack of air conditioning in the master can leave that room stuffy. Luckily we have a few girls wo like it hot! There were 2 working fans that helped to circulate the air. We enjoy biking the trails and walking through town, visiting the few shops along the way. We usually float down the Yough but it was a little too rainy and chilly this year. There's something for everyone. We'll be back next year. Thanks Kara and John.

To celebrate a special person’s 70th birthday, we had a mostly occupied house that was totally enjoyed! Even though it rained about half the time, the large front porch and swing got a lot of use. We were also able to have campfires and cookouts twice in between the rains. The fire ring area and outside seating and eating spaces were great too. We used the adjacent bike trails for biking and hiking. Some adventured into the small town of Confluence which was within walking distance. Some of the guests rode to Ohiopyle for additional hikes or bike rides. Right across the bridge was a nice ice cream and take out spot. On the last night, the very nice hot tub was used by the small group remaining. The house is beautifully furnished and comfortably furnished. Whole house A/C we did not even use until the second day. The smaller rooms upstairs were a bit stuffy but there were numerous fans available for those who wanted to use them. The house was well supplied also!!! Loved it!

We booked this home in Confluence as a centralized location/meeting spot for a family vacation. The home is located on a dead end street, with river and woodland views. It’s quiet and peaceful. The yard was visited by plenty of wildlife (deer, birds, squirrels, chipmunks, snakes, bunnies and even a great horned owl). The hot tub and fire pit were perfect spots to relax after biking a bit of the Allegheny Passage Trail (head south on the trail for bridge and tunnels crossings, head north for valleys and woods). We enjoyed dinner at Lucky Dog Cafe (just a stones throw) and made many stops to Outflow Freeze (just across the river) for ice cream. We also walked into town for coffee and antique shopping. Kayaking a bit of the river was also nice (we were able to put in via the front yard river access) and the kids enjoyed driving up to the beach for a swim in the lake. One of my favorite aspects was enjoying my morning coffee on the porch and listening to the sounds of nature. We’d definitely stay here again.

The house is awesome and the owners are very responsive. When we had an issue with the hot tub, they got someone over to the place within a half hour to fix it. We had a great time and would highly recommend!

This is the 5th year in a row that our family has stayed at the Riverhouse for a winter weekend getaway. The house continues to be clean, well maintained and updated. This year we noticed the carpet in the upstairs hallway was replaced with new LVT. It’s not often that we have a need to contact the homeowner but when we had a question during our stay, Kara was very quick to respond. We ordered food both nights from Mitch’s Fuel and Food. They have a good selection of sandwiches, salads and pizza. Saturday afternoon we typically go into town and visit the hardware store, grocery store and Dollar General. New this year was a market across from Mitch’s and the Family Distillery. The butterscotch moonshine was excellent. The evenings were spent in the hot tub, sitting around the fire place and playing games in the dining room under “Marty the Moose”.

The proximity to walking/biking trails and the river was a huge plus for us. The River House has many things to offer in its immediate surroundings, but is also a quick drive into the park or other areas for additional hiking/activities. We had a great visit with family and are looking forward to our trip next year!

We loved our stay at the Riverhouse. There was plenty of room for our party of 10. We took full advantage of the sledding hill and fire pit in the snow. The only complaint we had was the hot tub. We were so looking forward to using it but it was not clean. We understood that this would be really hard to keep up with between guests. Overall it had everything we needed!

Booking was super easy, check-in was seamless. The property has a lot of lovely outdoor space, and it’s location on the river is perfect. There were lovely touches, like games, and a chalkboard, laundry soap, and some cool-looking furniture. The house was clean and spacious. The biggest issue for us were the beds and the upstairs carpet. The upstairs carpet needs replacing— In The pictures it looks OK, but in real life, it feels tired. Additionally, the mattresses appear to be quite old. But all in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Our group of 10, ranging from 9 to 60+ years old, had a wonderful Easter break at this property. The house was clean, the kitchen is well appointed, the front porch has a wonderful view of the river, and I can keep going…..just a wonderful property. We walked to the ice cream place across the bridge and walked on the bike trail. The house is located only 15-20 minutes to many great hikes in Ohiopyle State Park. Thank you for a great stay! We hope to come back during Summer months to check out the water slides 😁.

This is a great property that I can’t imagine anyone could ever regret renting! My family & I (8 people, 4 couples) enjoyed it SO much. Some highlights are: excellent overall standard of cleanliness; nice & clean hot tub; great water pressure (if you’ve ever stayed where it’s not great you know how important that is!); nice grill; very well-equipped kitchen; great internet service. Even more important, the property is in a fantastic location, right across from the beautiful river & walking distance to the Great Allegheny Passage trail; also very close to Confluence while still being in a quiet spot. The property owner was easy & pleasant to communicate with. If I was forced to say anything negative, the only thing I could think of is that it is an older home in a woodsy area, so there are inevitably insects that make their way inside the house. Also, the house is not what I would call fancy - if you’re expecting new paint, flooring, furniture, etc., it doesn’t have it. But we found it quite comfortable & clean, & ideal for a family - so many great spaces to gather inside and out.

The beds are comfortable, the kitchen was good for preparing meals, bathrooms are better than decent and having the water dispenser was EXCELLENT! Note to others: bring power strips as the house is older with minimal outlets in each bedroom. No ice cube trays but the hardware store sells bags for $1. (We left ours to 'pay it forward' to the next visitors.) River Road is quiet and safe for kids to be out. Apparently everyone brings coffee filters so we used some as snack bowls ;)

Rent this place and let the cares of world slide ride by you, just like the beautiful Yough River does as it passes the front porch of this gem! More space than you can imagaine - our two families of four were very comfortable in this five bedroom gem. Comfortable and well cared for...go and enjoy all of the outdoor fun that this area has to offer!

Nice, relatively quiet place where the house is located. Plenty of beds for my group of 11. Nice that it has 3 full bathrooms. Great front porch to sit and relax on during any part of the day or night. We enjoyed the fire pit most nights. Plenty of yard space to do almost anything outside. Absolutely nothing to complain about the river house. Good chance we will be renting in the future.

The lovely Riverhouse was the perfect place to get together for a family reunion in June. We enjoyed biking and hiking, cooking on the grill, relaxing on the front porch, and chilling around the campfire every night. Of course the kids loved playing at the beach and splashing in Yough lake. Other family members with kids stayed at the Treehouse up the road, which was very convenient. Just wish we could have stayed longer! One or two of the bedrooms upstairs got a little warm, so a fan might come in handy for visitors in the summer.

This was our group's 11th yearly trip to the Yough Riverhouse. We enjoyed the updates in the home (flooring, outdoor walkways, porch swing and the roomy dumpster). The new siding looks very nice as well. The home always gives us plenty of places to gather, both indoor and out. The hot tub, fire ring and porch overlooking the river are our favorite outdoor spaces. Indoor, we gathered in the TV room to watch the Olympics and played games into the night at the dining table. The beds are comfy, although the lack of air conditioning in the master can leave that room stuffy. Luckily we have a few girls wo like it hot! There were 2 working fans that helped to circulate the air. We enjoy biking the trails and walking through town, visiting the few shops along the way. We usually float down the Yough but it was a little too rainy and chilly this year. There's something for everyone. We'll be back next year. Thanks Kara and John.

To celebrate a special person’s 70th birthday, we had a mostly occupied house that was totally enjoyed! Even though it rained about half the time, the large front porch and swing got a lot of use. We were also able to have campfires and cookouts twice in between the rains. The fire ring area and outside seating and eating spaces were great too. We used the adjacent bike trails for biking and hiking. Some adventured into the small town of Confluence which was within walking distance. Some of the guests rode to Ohiopyle for additional hikes or bike rides. Right across the bridge was a nice ice cream and take out spot. On the last night, the very nice hot tub was used by the small group remaining. The house is beautifully furnished and comfortably furnished. Whole house A/C we did not even use until the second day. The smaller rooms upstairs were a bit stuffy but there were numerous fans available for those who wanted to use them. The house was well supplied also!!! Loved it!

Everything was great! Kara is a great host and was very attentive. The house was clean and very spacious. Outside was where we spent most of our time. The fire pit is clutch and the proximity to the river was quite relaxing. We had a great time!

This is the 5th year in a row that our family has stayed at the Riverhouse for a winter weekend getaway. The house continues to be clean, well maintained and updated. This year we noticed the carpet in the upstairs hallway was replaced with new LVT. It’s not often that we have a need to contact the homeowner but when we had a question during our stay, Kara was very quick to respond. We ordered food both nights from Mitch’s Fuel and Food. They have a good selection of sandwiches, salads and pizza. Saturday afternoon we typically go into town and visit the hardware store, grocery store and Dollar General. New this year was a market across from Mitch’s and the Family Distillery. The butterscotch moonshine was excellent. The evenings were spent in the hot tub, sitting around the fire place and playing games in the dining room under “Marty the Moose”.

The River House felt like our Christmastime home as soon as we entered. My wife, my mother, and I traveled East from Indiana, while our two sons traveled West from DC Metro with their girlfriends. We wanted a spacious and scenic point somewhere in the middle to spend Christmas together; the River House didn't disappoint. We made the obligatory visit to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater build and it was all we thought it would be. Celebrating Christmas morning together at the River House worked perfectly for us. The home has more than adequate space for folks to be together or find some space to be alone. The kitchen had everything we needed as we took turns handling meals each day we were there. We look forward to another trip to the River House during another season to see the area and Fallingwater at a different time of the year. Kara was amazing in every way before and during our stay. Communication was always timely and she was always friendly; even when we made George her repairman make a trip to the house for an embarrassingly easy flip of a breaker in the basement to bring back the power. If you end up meeting George, that is also a great experience as he couldn't be more friendly. All in all, we enjoyed every minute at the River House and look forward to another visit not too far down the road.

My friends and I enjoyed the lake house for the weekend. We visited Fallingwater, the Flight 93 memorial and took some walks along the trail. We had a problem starting the fireplace and it was very promptly fixed.

We like to take quick getaways with our mostly adult children when we can get everyone’s schedules aligned. This year we have a new granddaughter that joined in the fun! House was clean with plenty of room! Great room for movie night with all 10 of us! Kitchen was equipped for family dinners and the fresh coffee beans were a pleasant surprise! The hottub was a hit and view of the river was so calming! Property manager was great and answered all questions promptly! We would love to visit again!

First off, I want to say Kara is a friendly and responsive host... my large family plus our dog spent the coldest Christmas in quite a while in the Riverhouse. It was more than roomy enough for all 11 of us. The ones who were brave enough to take the few frigid steps to the Hot tub enjoyed a a nice warm cozy seat with a great view of an almost frozen river and the serenade of geese and ducks. This house is pretty secluded but a dollar general and a grocery store is less than a mile away. We had pizza and sandwiches our first night there from Mitch's deli and they were great. The rest of the holiday weekend we cooked and ate endlessly. We brought our own roaster and slow cookers but there is a slow cooker there and a griddle and a good oven plus plenty of dishes and pans to keep us all fat and happy. The house was well decorated for Christmas complete with a tree, garland and lights. There's a huge Moose head in the dining area that was big hit with my grandsons . We played games under it's watchful eye. There are a lot of games there plus we brought some ourselves. The beds are comfortable, as is really the entire house. Spending Christmas there with my family was truly a blessing. Thank you Kara for your hospitality.

Booking was super easy, check-in was seamless. The property has a lot of lovely outdoor space, and it’s location on the river is perfect. There were lovely touches, like games, and a chalkboard, laundry soap, and some cool-looking furniture. The house was clean and spacious. The biggest issue for us were the beds and the upstairs carpet. The upstairs carpet needs replacing— In The pictures it looks OK, but in real life, it feels tired. Additionally, the mattresses appear to be quite old. But all in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Very much recommend this home for large groups. We had 11 people and everyone had plenty of room. The firepit areas are especially awesome. We were so impressed by Kara and the property team. They helped us out with an important delivery, and a new coffee maker. So helpful and considerate. Five stars!

The house is awesome and the owners are very responsive. When we had an issue with the hot tub, they got someone over to the place within a half hour to fix it. We had a great time and would highly recommend!

Great stay for family get togethers. This house sits on a dead end road with only one other house so there is minimal traffic to enjoy the Front porch while watching the river flow. Fire pit with chairs located under large trees perfect for late night get togethers. This house is a few hundred feet from a small store for renting life jackets etc. with a small bar/restaurant in front. With all the surrounding property trees you can not see the store so you still feel secluded.. the walking /bike trail also starts there. Across the road is the river access that makes it so easy for kayaking , rafting, fishing. Hot tub . Clean comfortable house with good dining and living room. Good water pressure which is always a plus. Very nice stay .. would recommend .

Yough Riverhouse was perfect for our family vacation. We had 5 adults and 2 children and had plenty of room to spread out. The front porch was perfect for my morning coffee where it was so peaceful and the littles loved the porch swing. My son in law enjoyed building a campfire everyday and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen was adequately supplied and the property was well maintained.We traveled to places nearby- Idelwilde amusement park , Flight 93 memorial, Living Treasures animal reserve and finally Ohiopyle where we hiked to Cucumber Falls and some of us went down the natural water slide. The house is a bit remote as far as nice restaurants , but we just planned a bit more.

Yough Riverhouse was perfect for our extended family gathering. Property was peaceful on a hill overlooking the river, and you can go sit down by the river. House was spacious, clean, organized, and set up well for large families. Location is great - GAP trail feet away, Confluence is quaint and likable, Ohiopyle is less than 20 minutes away. Would stay here again.

What a great vacation! River House was perfect for our 3-family vacation, along with 2 dogs. The property was secluded yet within walking distance to Cafe, Ice Cream, and bike path. The kids & dogs enjoyed playing in the river and the trail behind the house was beautiful! We also loved exploring Ohiopyle, which wasn't even 20 minutes away. Communication with Kara was top notch. There was an issue with the electric (totally out of her control) when we got to the house and she notified us right away and the power company was there within a few hours. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the River House or any other of Kara's properties in the future! We had a great experience.

We booked this home in Confluence as a centralized location/meeting spot for a family vacation. The home is located on a dead end street, with river and woodland views. It’s quiet and peaceful. The yard was visited by plenty of wildlife (deer, birds, squirrels, chipmunks, snakes, bunnies and even a great horned owl). The hot tub and fire pit were perfect spots to relax after biking a bit of the Allegheny Passage Trail (head south on the trail for bridge and tunnels crossings, head north for valleys and woods). We enjoyed dinner at Lucky Dog Cafe (just a stones throw) and made many stops to Outflow Freeze (just across the river) for ice cream. We also walked into town for coffee and antique shopping. Kayaking a bit of the river was also nice (we were able to put in via the front yard river access) and the kids enjoyed driving up to the beach for a swim in the lake. One of my favorite aspects was enjoying my morning coffee on the porch and listening to the sounds of nature. We’d definitely stay here again.

Our group of 10, ranging from 9 to 60+ years old, had a wonderful Easter break at this property. The house was clean, the kitchen is well appointed, the front porch has a wonderful view of the river, and I can keep going…..just a wonderful property. We walked to the ice cream place across the bridge and walked on the bike trail. The house is located only 15-20 minutes to many great hikes in Ohiopyle State Park. Thank you for a great stay! We hope to come back during Summer months to check out the water slides 😁.

This is a great property that I can’t imagine anyone could ever regret renting! My family & I (8 people, 4 couples) enjoyed it SO much. Some highlights are: excellent overall standard of cleanliness; nice & clean hot tub; great water pressure (if you’ve ever stayed where it’s not great you know how important that is!); nice grill; very well-equipped kitchen; great internet service. Even more important, the property is in a fantastic location, right across from the beautiful river & walking distance to the Great Allegheny Passage trail; also very close to Confluence while still being in a quiet spot. The property owner was easy & pleasant to communicate with. If I was forced to say anything negative, the only thing I could think of is that it is an older home in a woodsy area, so there are inevitably insects that make their way inside the house. Also, the house is not what I would call fancy - if you’re expecting new paint, flooring, furniture, etc., it doesn’t have it. But we found it quite comfortable & clean, & ideal for a family - so many great spaces to gather inside and out.

The location was perfect for our group for all of our adventures. We Biked on the trails, Kayaked in the River directly across the road for the house we stayed , and went White water rafting at White Water Adventures 18 miles for our house rental. The house was very roomy and very well stalked with all the items we needed in the kitchen as well as throughout the entire house. We will definitely come back again. We all had a blessed time 😁

The house was very roomy and very well stalked with all the items we needed in the kitchen as well as throughout the entire house. We will definitely come back again. We all had a blessed time 😁

Yough River House is the perfect spot for our annual girls trip. Convenient for walking, biking and being on the river. The front porch overlooking the river, the hot tub and the fire pit are spots for catching up and reminiscing. "Harold" the moose greets us each year. The kitchen has ample supplies to feed the hungry crew after a day of river tubing. The Lucky Dog Cafe that is next door is a favorite spot for a bite to eat and a few libations. We will be back next year for our 11th trip. The owners are easy to reach and responsive to needs although we've rarely had to reach out to them.

We loved the Riverhouse. Location was great and the home very comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with equipment for cooking and dinnerware for a large group. There was plenty of towels and the bedrooms were great.

This house met and exceeded all of our needs and expectations. Plenty of space for our whole party and the house was spotless. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the appliances we needed and the hot tub provided the perfect relaxation after a long day of activities. The river is just a 30 second stroll out the front door and all the amenities of town are just a 2 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the Yough valley.

We stayed Yough Riverhouse for 2 nights with our son and his family and our two grandchildren. Our granddaughter who is two years old loved running from room to room on the first floor. Our grandson who is soon to be 6 year old enjoyed sitting by fire place and enjoyed the s’mores. For those who love a peaceful and quiet place to relax and enjoy the Riverhouse is a perfect place. The walking trails were nearby and if you are walker like me you will find a fast walk alone or a relaxing walking with your family and grandkids. This is a great family house to stay for that reason. The house was clean and tidy The Riverhouse kitchen is adequately equipped with all the kitchen utensils. The bedrooms on the second floor were pretty comfortable and had windows air conditioners which were a little noisy but tolerable. The bathrooms were all clean and tidy. It is close to all river activities especially canoeing which we took advantage off.

First off, I want to say Kara is a friendly and responsive host... my large family plus our dog spent the coldest Christmas in quite a while in the Riverhouse. It was more than roomy enough for all 11 of us. The ones who were brave enough to take the few frigid steps to the Hot tub enjoyed a a nice warm cozy seat with a great view of an almost frozen river and the serenade of geese and ducks. This house is pretty secluded but a dollar general and a grocery store is less than a mile away. We had pizza and sandwiches our first night there from Mitch's deli and they were great. The rest of the holiday weekend we cooked and ate endlessly. We brought our own roaster and slow cookers but there is a slow cooker there and a griddle and a good oven plus plenty of dishes and pans to keep us all fat and happy. The house was well decorated for Christmas complete with a tree, garland and lights. There's a huge Moose head in the dining area that was big hit with my grandsons . We played games under it's watchful eye. There are a lot of games there plus we brought some ourselves. The beds are comfortable, as is really the entire house. Spending Christmas there with my family was truly a blessing. Thank you Kara for your hospitality.

We booked this home in Confluence as a centralized location/meeting spot for a family vacation. The home is located on a dead end street, with river and woodland views. It’s quiet and peaceful. The yard was visited by plenty of wildlife (deer, birds, squirrels, chipmunks, snakes, bunnies and even a great horned owl). The hot tub and fire pit were perfect spots to relax after biking a bit of the Allegheny Passage Trail (head south on the trail for bridge and tunnels crossings, head north for valleys and woods). We enjoyed dinner at Lucky Dog Cafe (just a stones throw) and made many stops to Outflow Freeze (just across the river) for ice cream. We also walked into town for coffee and antique shopping. Kayaking a bit of the river was also nice (we were able to put in via the front yard river access) and the kids enjoyed driving up to the beach for a swim in the lake. One of my favorite aspects was enjoying my morning coffee on the porch and listening to the sounds of nature. We’d definitely stay here again.

This is a great property that I can’t imagine anyone could ever regret renting! My family & I (8 people, 4 couples) enjoyed it SO much. Some highlights are: excellent overall standard of cleanliness; nice & clean hot tub; great water pressure (if you’ve ever stayed where it’s not great you know how important that is!); nice grill; very well-equipped kitchen; great internet service. Even more important, the property is in a fantastic location, right across from the beautiful river & walking distance to the Great Allegheny Passage trail; also very close to Confluence while still being in a quiet spot. The property owner was easy & pleasant to communicate with. If I was forced to say anything negative, the only thing I could think of is that it is an older home in a woodsy area, so there are inevitably insects that make their way inside the house. Also, the house is not what I would call fancy - if you’re expecting new paint, flooring, furniture, etc., it doesn’t have it. But we found it quite comfortable & clean, & ideal for a family - so many great spaces to gather inside and out.

We've stayed at Kara's property across the street many times before, but upgraded to the Riverhouse this time since we had a larger group. The house was well outfitted with everything we needed, and Kara was very responsive when an issue came up. We will book again in the future, and I'll continue to recommend the properties to friends!

Our host Kara was very organized and responsive. We loved the property - right on the river, lovely outdoor space, and close to walking and biking trails. Kara is great! We had an issue with the gas fireplace and she immediately sent help to fix it.
