Everything was great. The rooms are cozy and clean, everything is new. Absolutely do not miss the canyon walk, it was great.

A little gem on the edge of Iceland’s Highlands. I’ve travelled extensively around Iceland and stayed in countless hotels, and Freya Farm is easily one of the most charming and authentic places I’ve experienced. The family who run the place are locals and incredibly friendly, welcoming and genuinely warm. The surroundings are beautiful, and we had the pleasure of hiking up to an impressive canyon behind the hotel together with the owner, Jon. A wonderful experience. Authentic, personal and full of charm.

Love Freya Farm! Unbelievably beautiful view right outside our door: green expanse, river, and mountains in the distance. Great breakfast, comfortable bed, clean room. This was the nicest--and least expensive--place we stayed at in Iceland. It is situated on a working farm run by a lovely young couple--not like staying in a hotel run by some corporation. Jon is warm and genuine, and a great conversationalist to boot. He even took us for a hike on his land which was spectacular. The Icelandic horses are so lovely. Highly recommend!

Great location on the far side of Thingvellir National Park close to the new Laugarás Lagoon. Freya Farm is truly a family owned farm by a wonderful young family. They were so kind and the property is absolutely stunning. The owner took us for a short hike around their backyard to an amazing river. This is truly a hidden jem.
