Executive Residency by Best Western Waterloo & Cedar Falls

Nice lobby, large clean room with vinyl plank floors which was very clean. Charging stations in the nightstands were great. The outside traffic was noisy at night. Train was also close & quite noisy. Didn't like the tiny check in parking area. Not a fan of having to park in a garage across the street either.

Nice clean room, new furnishings, comfortable bed. Pool area was unique and nice. Breakfast area clean and well stocked.

Room was clean. In house restaurant was fabulous.

The rooms are updated and nice. The beds are comfortable. I wish they had a hot tub in the pool area.

The room was okay, comfortable bed/pillows. Clean. The adjoining room door was paper thin and could hear everything said by the people in that room, including violent vomiting early in the morning. The doors slam so loudly, could do something to them to prevent that. Only one ice maker was functioning in the hotel, not ideal when the hotel was full. Wish the restaurant/bar was open. The breakfast is good, a lot of options.

Arrival was less than desirable as there was no where to park as the 2 available arrival parking spots were in use. Parked on street and the receptionist was able to direct me to the parking garage across the street. Access to hotel from garage to hotel was VIA a walkway above street. Acceptable and daily parking was $5.00.

The elevators were either very slow and/or didn’t work. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean.

The eooms wete very nice and the hotel had excellent facilities, but there was a homeless man sleeping in the foyer of the parking garage the skybridge connected to and that area was cery filthy.

Overall, it was a good stay. However, our room needed swept - the amount of nasty food crumbs, dog hair, etc. on the floor was disgusting. Our bed had human hairs all over the comforter. The gentleman that checked us in was less than social - really didn't care if it was a welcoming check-in or not. The bed was comfortable, the room is spacious, just what we needed.

The hotel is an old building that has been remodeled and is in great condition other than the bathtubs. Our bathtub and caulking were moldy and heavily worn. Breakfast was great and staff in the dining area were helpful. Front desk staff were less than great and acted like you were a bother. The area was not safe and I was concerned about leaving my car in the garage. Plus a train went by blaring it's horn at 1:30 am both nights we were there. It sounded like it was right outside our room.

We booked this hotel for the location, because we were eating at a restaurant on the same block and we wanted to be able to walk back to the hotel afterwards. The room was OK. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. We slept well because it was quiet. The big thing that bothered me is that they had obviously not cleaned the toilet before we checked in. So that really made me wonder what else they had not cleaned. It’s really hard to overlook that.

At a glance, the hotel room looked great, it was updated with vinyl flooring. Upon closer inspection, there were many spiders by the window (dead and alive), there was a sick spill on the floor and a big stain on the top blanket of the bed. It got worse the longer we were in the room. There hand towel was dirty (it looked like feces on it), a face towel was dirty too with what appeared to be mascara on it. There was another dirty hand towel under the sink area along with some old shampoo bottles. The employees of the hotel were great with bringing us clean items (they offered us a new room, but with two kids that I just settled and unpacked we opted to stay in the room) and we went to go swimming. When we returned to the room, I started a bath and a bunch of black moldy/mildew looking things came out of the tub faucet. My children quickly showered instead.

Upon checking into the property we had issues with the parking lot ticket and had to take it multiple times to be validated so the gate would work. When we checked into our suite room we found that the kitchenette wasn’t stocked with the items it needed and the room hadn’t been cleaned very well, there was a soda bottle underneath the sofa couch from the previous persons stay. The bathroom shower had hair in it and the caulking around the tub was coming apart. Throughout the stay we had to continuously kill spiders to which my 9 yr old with autism is deathly scared of so we didn’t get much sleep from that alone. The breakfast was terrible because it had no flavoring and the sausage links were half cooked , how your able to half cook items that you microwave is beyond me but needless to say it can be done at this hotel I’ve seen it. There were homeless people hanging out in front of the hotel at our check in and homeless people hanging out in the skywalk area from parking ramp to hotel actually sleeping inside there ! The pool water was “supposed” to be heated but was ice cold so I didn’t get a chance to swim my daughter roughed it out because she really wanted to swim but my joints and arthritis wouldn’t allow me to do it which was a bummer. What really topped off this stay was when I went to wash my clothes in their laundry area the night before and ended up having to hand ring my clothes out because the machine broke midway not worth the 700 bucks I spent do not stay here!

I don’t ever leave reviews but I’m going to because I was pretty impressed with the whole experience and cleanliness. Reasonably priced as well. I have worked at a very nice hotel for years so it takes quite a bit and usually a lot more money to impress me but i was extremely happy staying here and would stay again. My room smelled great and for the most part extremely clean, the only thing that could’ve used a little better attention was the bathroom. Don’t get me wrong, it was cleaner than a lot of other hotels but i found a couple hairs on or in the tub and looked as though around the legs and under the bathroom vanity was possibly missed during cleaning. I was also quite surprised to be able to here the guests above me talking clearly, I was woke up a few times throughout the night from them moving around and/or dropping something that startled me awake because it was loud (not blaming the hotel) Breakfast was a usual full hotel breakfast but was clean and laid out nice with everything well stocked. I really liked their coffee machine. I was able to get a café latte with a double shot of espresso. Yum! Keep up the good work!!!!

Breakfast was excellent. Our room was not very soundproof. We could people on either side of us talk, laugh and snore!!

Nice downtown location. Large rooms

We could not turn off the fan system in our room. It ran loudly all night and made for terribly disruptive rest. Would not stay again as a result.

Hotel was fine, but all rooms are adjoining and you can hear everything going next door.

Owner decided to save money by using the cheapest, most low pressure showerheadknown to man. Water was hot but the shower was freezing due to the low pressure.

Rooms were great. Have someone at front desk at all times. Arrived at 10:30 pm and had to wait five minutes for someone to show up at front desk to check us in

I stayed with family members in several different rooms. Some of us experienced malfunctioning climate control in our rooms. Too warm. Staff responded, however, given the rating of the premises, this is unacceptable. The complimentary breakfast was very good & dining staff attended the supply and cleanliness very well. They are outstanding!

The rooms are huge, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was way better than expected. The bed was aww so heavenly soft.

Very nice and modern furniture and amenities. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and had a vadiety of different options. However our room was a little lacking in terms of extras like a chair or a freezer. But overall a wonderful experience.

Nice place, but not much to do in the area as it was connected to the convention center where nothing was going on. Walking distance to Dan Gable Museum. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. It was nice and quiet until some very loud people moved in next door. We called the front desk and they handled it immediately with no problems after. Good breakfast. Pay parking in parking garage across the street.

The lady at the front desk with the most disrespectful rude individual we’ve every had to encounter at a hotel- Saturday night girl it was embarrassing to our group who had spent 3,000 dollars to stay for 2 nights! We stay at this hotel every year and it will be the last thanks to her. We even ask to speak to management and she informed us it’s a weekend don’t you people know they don’t work weekends

Front desk women working night shift always on our case. Incorrectly assuming people we're staying in the room even though they were just hanging out in our room. Seemed like they didn't want to work there, getting mad that we were leaving the hotel room after they had just mopped the floor. I suggest they work on their customer service.

I had to wait over 20 minutes until someone came to the desk to check me in. Remarkably understaffed. There should be more than 1 person there.

Samantha at front desk is great and all the day shift people awesome but the guy working nights front desk is not welcoming at all… rude actually…housekeepers friendly nice.. clean place..great breakfast

Had a one night stay at this hotel. The hotel staff were friendly upon arrival. We had a party of 13. Check in was efficient. One room had a noisy air conditioner fan. They were immediately given another room. Breakfast was well stocked and all we needed. Overall a good stay.

I was shocked at great price for the prime location downtown attached to the convention center. Downtown was surprisingly clean and safe even when we arrived at 11 pm on a Saturday night. Good job!

Nice and clean hotel. Food and drink in the building restaurant. Not much around the property, but the Waterloo Public Library and Art Center are in walking distance.

It was a terrific experience. There was some street construction going on so the parking was a bit of a walk but that was not the hotel's fault. The staff were friendly and ready to help with anything. The bar and restaurant is absolutely one of the best perks. The bartender, waitresses and costumes were friendly and personable. The food and drinks were to die for. The breakfast was devine and the overall cleanliness was outstanding!

Called ahead to have a package sent. Despite exact name on package they sent it back! Room was not very clean. Breakfast was packed and coffee bar ran out of water. Not serviced. Manager said she would assist and it hasnt happened
