DoubleTree by Hilton Monrovia - Pasadena Area

The hotel is wonderful. The pool is really nice with the cabanas and towel service. Terrific staff. Our room was right by the elevator and I am a light sleeper so it kept me awake but didn’t bother the rest of my family.

This was my second time staying and it didn't disappoint. Check in was quick and the room was modern, spacious and clean. Bar was also good. Attentive bartender and pretty good food. Very conveniently located, just yards from the 210 highway. I live in AZ but work in LA and the property is my go to reasonably priced accommodation. One bonus, Starbucks is in the car lot (No charge for parking either) and opens at 5am. Extremely convenient.

Bar/restaurant was understaffed for a busy Saturday evening.

Parking is horrible. Everything else was great.

We had a great 8 night stay, the pool and hot tub being open until 11pm was an awesome way to wrap up our busy days! The food at the Elements restaurant and the Doubletree cookies were delicious. I would definitely stay here again, this location is about 30 mins to an hour away to all of the popular tourist destinations, not including traffic of course!

Family booking made at same time of two rooms split across 2 floors. Elevators terrible. Only one working so very long wait. Other guests saying the elevators are always a problem at this hotel. We will look elsewhere next time.

Construction in parking area, after going to get gas I was unable to find a space in parking lot. No spaces in parking in front of Red Lobster, absolutely no parking available! Had to park in front entrance driveway. This was on Sunday morning. When I book a room, I expect there will be parking available!

Staff is very friendly. Rooms are very clean! The amenities like the gym and pool are well kept. There are several restaurants nearby and a Starbucks right outside. My family will definitely be staying here again!

This property is DISGUSTING and the front desk staff are RUDE. There was a huge COCKROACH in our room bathroom and staff wouldn’t come to assist. They didn’t even offer bug spray! Roaches are probably all over the hotel, as we saw bags of trash in the hallway. We complained to the front desk and asked someone to come and take care of it, they said they would send someone. After waiting a very long time, we went downstairs to the front desk. CHRISTOPHER was just standing around with other hotel staff. I asked him about someone coming to our room, he said there was no one from maintenance, everyone went home. He didn’t even have the courtesy to call to let us know that no one was coming! I requested to change rooms, he said there were none available. I asked to speak with a manager. I then spoke with LAUREN, who proceeds to tell me there’s nothing else they can do. I ask both Lauren and Christopher, would you be comfortable sleeping in a hotel room with cockroaches?! Would you be upset that the hotel tells you and your family there’s nothing they can do?! Neither one of them bothered to even check if they had bug spray or anything, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Lauren processed a refund for our room and told us we could go elsewhere. Needless to stay we left this DUMP. We will NEVER stay here again and will make sure to tell our friends, family, and the public how DISGUSTING and DIRTY this property is. GO A BLOCK TO THE COURTYARD MARRIOTT. BETTER SERVICE AND CLEANER ROOMS!

I woke up 3 am to a noise I saw giant roch roaming around in my room . On the wall . The hunt was on and got him . I stayed here multiple times before never had a problem but this night was different. Now tired and restless going to work. At least I got that roch

What I found unique about this property was that the room was meticulously clean and well-maintained. I typically find flaws here and there in even "nice" hotels. But the Doubletree was exceptional.

The room was spotless. Housekeeping was great, friendly, as was the desk staff. Food in the restaurant on Thanksgiving was superb.

Feels like a 1 star. Old, dirty, musty, smelly, moldy, dusty. No idea how they have good reviews. Worst experience by far and I stay 40-60 nights a year in hotels for business across the country.

The hotel is nice, the staff are pleasant, located in a safe area, and the rooms are clean. My only complaint is that the shower door was broken so I had to lodge a washcloth to keep door from opening when showering. The shower grout was also murky looking. Could you some maintenance there.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and updated. Onsite parking was great. Overall a very nice hotel.

I booked this hotel on short notice and chose it based on the high guest ratings, so I was surprised at how dirty the rooms are. The staff is very nice and the hotel has good amenities, but the first room I checked into smelled like cigarette smoke. They graciously moved me to another room right away, but in that room I discovered mysterious liquid stains on the lounge chair and what appeared to be a contact lens on the desk chair. Since I was only staying one night I toughed it out and avoided the chairs, but it I won't be staying here again.

Sliding door for bathroom was very difficult to open and repeatedly had to be forced open. Wall mounts for the t.v.s were installed facing away from the beds. at full rotation we only had a 45° angle view from the bed closest to the door. Very annoying.

Room was dark and dingy our view out two windows were a roof with air conditioners, are room was next to a elevator and our air conditioner in our room was as noisy as the elevators, not a good night sleep by any means.

My TV glitched on the right hand side. I heard the people above me frequently using the bathroom and the noises outside were so loud I would barely sleep.

Doubletree is a reliable hotel brand. This location follows suit. The staff were friendly and responsive. The room was soacious with a great view of the San Gabriel Mountains.

Really the only downside was the AC unit in the room was so noisy. None of us slept! It was an old wall unit and it was too hot to turn off...

Great quiet location with plenty of dining options nearby. Hotel restaurant has good options too. Would avoid the rooms ending in 01 as they are located next to the lift shaft and noisy everytime the lift is used.

Everything was great until night time. The pipes had a continuous loud bang, turbulent screeching howl that kept waking me up every night of my stay. It was eerie and scary to wake up each night to those sound. The hotel seemed possessed.

KATELYN at the front desk was AMAZING!!!! The cookies were awesome. Very, very clean hotel. Beautiful area. Great coffee place with donuts up the street A.M. Donut and Yogurt. I loved hotel. Plenty of parking also. Just stay here if you come to the area. Again special shout-out to Katelyn for making us feel so welcome.

My friend and I both had to go down to Libby to get new key cards as ours stopped working after the first night. Super inconvenient. The girl at the front desk knew nothing about the area when we asked about restaurant recommendations. However, the male Guest Service guy did so that was helpful. I tried to iron some clothes, but the ironing board was inoperable and broken.

I was awoken to drilling 2 days in a row, maintenance was being done on the floor above or the room near me. It really messed up my vacation time. So I feel robbed paying for a stay that was interrupted with no notice. When I brought this to the attention to the staff, they were dismissive. Tight, thanks for that.

I absolutely loved our stay and look forward to coming back next time we are in the Monrovia and Pasadena area. The staff was amazing, especially the manager, Alyssa (I believe that was her name). We were welcomed at check-in with warm cookies, which was such an amazing touch because we were so hungry. Breakfast buffet was delicious. The fresh omelet station was the highlight for me. I was able to work out in the gym and I went for a walk because the weather was beautiful and the hotel location was so central. There is a Starbucks and ChicFila in the parking lot of the hotel, which are two of my favorites. Beds and pillows are comfortable. The water pressure in the shower great. 10/10 Highly Recommend!!!

Were we greeted by Lisa who let us check. In early and offered us warm Chocolate chip cookies. Not only that, but she asked us if we wanted to stay higher up or lower as well as close or far from the elevator. So sweet. The room is beautiful. Clean, new a with beautiful views. Great experience.

I agree the location and hotel aesthetics look good, however the service is awful. Got there at 7pm and went to the restaurant. I chose a chicken sandwich (which was the only thing I’d eaten all day) and from 11pm onward I spent the night in the bathroom. Missed a morning meeting due to being unwell too. Upon checking out at 6am I told the gentleman in reception what had happened. He said I needed to complete some forms which he would email to me and the manager would call me to register a formal complaint. Turns out none of these things happened. I was in business in Seattle so didn’t get a chance to follow up until the end of the week. I called and spoke to another gentleman who was apologetic, he sent an email to me with both managers in copy. They both ignored the email. Wow, well there you go! Zero care for the customer experience from the management team.

This property exceeded my expectation. The staff was professional and friendly. The property was clean and convenient to many food options. I will be visiting again.

My family and I stay here quite often when doing quick trips to L.A. The staff is friendly and helpful, my kids love the welcome cookies, and the surrounding area has many restaurants, stores, and gas stations. One of the biggest perks is that parking is free.

The manager Ed is always so helpful! He really goes out of his way to make sure we are comfortable! We will stay at Doubletree again! Thank you

This hotel is in a great location—literally less than a minute from I-210, and with a traffic light at the entrance, getting in and out of the property is easy even during heavy traffic. The property itself is well maintained, and there’s a Starbucks that shares the same parking lot, which made grabbing a quick breakfast really convenient. Check-in was fast, and I was greeted with a warm cookie. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. My room was clean, updated, and the AC worked perfectly. Overall, the accommodations were very comfortable. I didn’t try the hotel’s breakfast, so I can’t comment on that. The one drawback—and the reason I didn’t give five stars—is housekeeping noise in the mornings. The room itself was spotless, but every morning around 9 a.m. the housekeeping staff started working and were quite loud in the hallways. Even with the “Do Not Disturb” sign up, it was hard to sleep past 9 without being woken up. This wasn’t a one-time thing; it happened every day of my multi-night stay. If you’re there for a business trip, you will likely be off the property before 9 and it won’t even be a That said, I would still return here because everything else was excellent. Next time, I’ll just pack some earplugs and hope for quieter mornings.

My stay was great! I loved the location of the hotel, it’s not super busy and there’s a lot of food places to choose from. It’s a pretty quiet area! The free parking is amazing! The staff are very kind and very helpful. Definitely recommend and would stay again!

Paid for breakfast and the omelettes were great

I booked this trip for my husband to attend a car show & visit with friends. This hotel was clean, the room was large and comfortable. Overall he had a good trip but I do have two big problems. One feature that I looked for was a room that included breakfast. He was denied breakfast from the attendant the 1st day and had to go pay out of pocket. He complained but it kept happening & he had to involve management. So my first problem was that they continued to make him feel uncomfortable in the breakfast area. My 2nd problem is that management should have offered him some sort of compensation - a drink at the bar, a comped meal, an upgraded room, some points toward his next stay, something, especially since this happened more than once & they were clearly aware of the problem employee. This was an opportunity to create a repeat customer as he/we travel to LA quite a lot and they failed. I don't expect everything to be perfect but I do expect wrinkles to be smoothed and for some amount of customer-first service.

Great hotel, conveniently located, great staff, great price, great restaurant and delicious cookies!!
