The house was very clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time while there sitting out on the spacious deck, and enjoying the super blue moon rising directly in the east. Worked well for eight adults. We appreciated two coffee pots! Minimal issues were addressed quickly by the manager. Unfortunately the DVD player was not working. A quiet neighborhood. Several of us enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood despite the steep hills. Enjoyed Hermann.

The property is very spacious and accommodated our party of 8 with room to spare. The location is quiet and has an east facing deck the length of the house, overlooking the town and affording great views, especially of the sunrise. It is in a residential area so requires some transportation but was easy to manage. We would definitely stay again.

This place was ideal for our annual girls trip to Hermann. Our group has group has grown over the years and we need a space for 14. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Beautiful view from large deck with plenty of seating. House is spacious, decorated well, clean and the two refrigerators were a big plus. Already booked for next year.

This was the perfect house and location for our group! We have family spread all across Missouri and wanted a place all of the women could meet for a relaxing weekend. The house is very spacious and has a lot of communal areas for gathering. The location has a good view of the city, offers some privacy, and has plenty of parking. Our group chose to stay in and cook on Friday, the kitchen is a little limited on counterspace (though we probably brought way too much stuff!), but does have pots/pans and some cooking utensils. The second refrigerator down stairs was great for extra fridge space!

We met with friends for a few days in “wine country” and found Bittersweet on Vrbo. We chose this property because it offered bedrooms and baths that were well suited to accommodating 4 adult couples. Overall Bittersweet exceeded our expectations. I should point out the covered porch was especially nice as we spent a lot of time out there for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. The views from the porch were spectacular. Inside the great room was a very large table for meals and games. There was plenty of parking for our group, 4 cars. There were a few minor gripes, the internet was useless, bath towels were very thin, and some felt the beds were not that comfortable. The beds are all foam mattresses that seem to have wear pockets in them. That said I felt as though I slept well. If I were to return to Herman I would definitely book Bittersweet again.

Great location and plenty of room for our meeting/retreat. Furnishing and accommodations were wonderful. The deck was awesome! We took the trolley to explore the wineries and distilleries and we had door to door service which was super convenient. We had a great time!

This house worked great for five couples. Everyone had their own bedroom and most importantly bathroom. The outdoor deck was very relaxing. The trolley picked us up and dropped us off from wine and distillery tastings. I would book again.

Stayed here with the brides family for a wedding at Hermann Hills. Very spacious house, clean, great common areas and patio, and bathrooms were large and roomy as well. Biggest issue I could see for other parties is the kitchen, which is a little small especially for large groups. We only really cooked and ate breakfast at the Bittersweet Inn, so it wasn’t all that much of a problem for us. Overall had a great experience visiting Hermann for the first time!

We went to Hermann for a family member's 60th birthday and were very happy to be able to stay in the same house. We arrived during a snowy day and Janet stayed in contact with me and made sure the driveway and walk were completely cleared for us. The Bittersweet Inn was very clean and welcoming. Kitchen utensils, pots, coffee, etc. were available. Renting a house allowed the 12 of us to be together during our visit. It has six bedrooms, 5 baths, and 2 family rooms. There was so much space upstairs we never even utilized the downstairs family room. It has a big dining table where we could all sit around and play games after we came home from the wonderful wineries, distillery, and brewery. It is in Hermann so a short drive to the shops and all. We recommend this to any group and look forward to returning. Thank you, Janet, Cassie and the others who were so friendly and helpful.

The wide open spaces at the Bittersweet gave us plenty of space to visit, relax, and have meals. All the bedrooms exceeded our expectations. Everyone agreed to come back at the Bittersweet next August for our reunion. We would highly recommend Bittersweet.

It was the 10 of us. Our 2nd stay at Bittersweet and once again a great stay. Great location with lots of restaurants, wineries, distilleries and more. Something for everyone. The house was just as was expected clean and relaxing. We were even able to get in early, which was a bonus for us. Visit Hermann and stay at Bittersweet, you will not be disappointed.

Worked well for eight adults. We appreciated two coffee pots! Minimal issues were addressed quickly by the manager. Unfortunately the DVD player was not working. A quiet neighborhood. Several of us enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood despite the steep hills. Enjoyed Hermann.

Everything was amazing! Wonderful location and house was fantastic. Only thing I would recommend is black out curtains in the bedrooms. It gets very bright around 6:30am and difficult to sleep in. But would 100% stay again and Cassie was awesome and her communication was excellent. Hermann is such a cute town for a weekend getaway!

We went to Hermann for a family member's 60th birthday and were very happy to be able to stay in the same house. We arrived during a snowy day and Janet stayed in contact with me and made sure the driveway and walk were completely cleared for us. The Bittersweet Inn was very clean and welcoming. Kitchen utensils, pots, coffee, etc. were available. Renting a house allowed the 12 of us to be together during our visit. It has six bedrooms, 5 baths, and 2 family rooms. There was so much space upstairs we never even utilized the downstairs family room. It has a big dining table where we could all sit around and play games after we came home from the wonderful wineries, distillery, and brewery. It is in Hermann so a short drive to the shops and all. We recommend this to any group and look forward to returning. Thank you, Janet, Cassie and the others who were so friendly and helpful.

The house was clean, well-stocked and there was plenty of parking. Everyone loved that there was room to spread out, but more importantly room to all come together for meals, games and talks. The location allowed us to walk into town as well as to Stonehill Winery. Communication with our host was excellent at all times. If we decide to come back to Hermann for future reunions we all agreed that we'd book the Bittersweet Inn again. The only issue we had was that the internet never worked and a couple of our group had to go to the library to get some work done. Other than that, everything was perfect.

This was the first time that six of us siblings were able to get together for a weekend away. The Bittersweet Inn was perfect! Lots of room, very clean, beautiful view from the deck. The trolley picked us up, so no need to take our cars around to all the wineries and downtown. We would definitely stay here again! Janet, the property manager, was awesome!

It was the 10 of us. Our 2nd stay at Bittersweet and once again a great stay. Great location with lots of restaurants, wineries, distilleries and more. Something for everyone. The house was just as was expected clean and relaxing. We were even able to get in early, which was a bonus for us. Visit Hermann and stay at Bittersweet, you will not be disappointed.

The property is very spacious and accommodated our party of 8 with room to spare. The location is quiet and has an east facing deck the length of the house, overlooking the town and affording great views, especially of the sunrise. It is in a residential area so requires some transportation but was easy to manage. We would definitely stay again.

Great location and plenty of room for our meeting/retreat. Furnishing and accommodations were wonderful. The deck was awesome! We took the trolley to explore the wineries and distilleries and we had door to door service which was super convenient. We had a great time!

This house worked great for five couples. Everyone had their own bedroom and most importantly bathroom. The outdoor deck was very relaxing. The trolley picked us up and dropped us off from wine and distillery tastings. I would book again.

This is the 2nd time staying at this property. I came back, because it was a great property to stay at the first time in 2022. This visit, it was spick and span, with well-stocked bathrooms. The kitchen was also well-stocked, but no oven mitts to cook with (which was fine, but a little inconvenient). It was also tricky to get ahold of the host through messaging during the booking, but readily answered with a phone call. The host was very friendly and helpful at that point. There was a swing that was broken, so we were not able to enjoy the downstairs walk-out patio as I had experienced with the 2022 group. Overall, there was lots of living space and it could comfortably fit 12-14 people! The location is walkable to Stone Hill Winery and the Hermann Trolley readily comes to this property!!

Everything was great, beautiful house. Layout & decor very cute. However, floors were not cleaned prior to us checking in. There was food, dirt, hair on the floors in every room (I assume from the previous guests). The owners offered to have the floors cleaned while we were out the next day, but we weren’t comfortable with that. Also, the grill was so tiny for that big of a house; we were planning on grilling all weekend for everyone, but that grill could not accommodate. I would encourage getting a larger grill for guests or not advertise there is a bbq grill. Other than that everything was good.
