Loved the hotel. It was very clean. The breakfast was amazing! Pool was great. We have a great experience here.

It was a bit over priced, in my opinion, but was a decent hotel. It was clean and beds were comfy. The couple of downfalls were the wifi there is horrible, the tv keep cutting out (not good for kiddos and cartoons), the pool was nice but no sauna and the pool water temperature was very cold.

The desk clerk wasn’t real friendly. The room was clean. The pool was overly cold to the point you couldn’t swim. The breakfast was mediocre & not stocked. The breakfast buffet was not being monitored and things were not being restored or filled. I’ve had better hotel breakfast food. Our experience wasn’t horrible but not great it was just ok. Would we stay there again? Possibly.

They had no vending machines at all. The 3rd shift staff were very rude when id asked her where the vending machines were then she said we have our products here. They wanted to charge me $2.00 for a 16oz can of coke. I told her she lost her mind I could door dash a 12 pack for a few bucks more, She got really mad at me and founded her face up. Up charging that much for travel convince is just plain robbery.

Hotel was nice, bed was comfortable, room was clean. Unfortunately we were placed on a floor with large group of children and the elevator was out of service the next morning.

The property was very nice and clean. Pool was awesome. Disappointed there was no hot tub. The guy who checked us in was so nice. However we came a little early asked if we could check in early and were rudely told no buy the lady working at the time. She didnt need to be rude. And then we came back at 3 we had to wait in a long line of people. Who all had similiar stories of the very rude lady working, sad. Other than that, the stay was awesome in a very nice room. Breakfast was wonderful.

Stay was great. It would have been great for the pool to be open later—who swims at 6:00 AM? Breakfast was nice and fresh even 30 minutes before closing.

Staff was nice, room was cleaner than most! Bed was very comfortable and had king sized pillows which was awesome! The lounge chairs in the corner was cool. Loved the lighting! The lights behind the headboard, TV, and closet cabinet really illuminated the room with a soft light. Nice desk and bench seat with coat rack! Bathroom was big enough. I love that instead of those off brand soap bars they had liquid hand soap! And all Dove brand products!!! I am allergic to a lot of soaps and shampoos but Dove is one I can actually use!! Very insulting room. We actually had to turn the A/C on during the night because it got so warm. We were on the second floor so there were people above us. You could hear them walking some but not nearly as loudly as most other hotels. Ice machine on the second floor doesn’t work and the vending machine was empty/didn’t work. My husband’s only complaint was the water pressure in the shower. Other than that, great hotel room. Oh and complimentary breakfast was good. Lots of options and good food. The coffee machine grinds and brews fresh coffee. All and all, 5 stars!

The staff was absolutely amazing, very friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I love that the air conditioning was nice and cool when entering the room. I stayed because I needed to be close to KU hospital for surgery the next day and I had a very peaceful and comfortable nights rest. Plenty of towels in my room, lots of amenities if you need them, and again I have to say the staff are some of the friendliest people I've met working at a motel. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. Absolute 5 stars in my opinion.

Hotel seemed nice when we checked in. When we got off the elevator the smell of marijuana was so strong in the hallway. Had to put a towel in front of the door to keep it from coming in more then it was under the door. There was child in the next room the cried starting at 3 am for the rest of night so between the strong smell- which I told the front desk about and the child- not much sleep was had

Stayed here for 7 days. The breakfast wasn’t good. The place was dirty!! The rug throughout the facility was dirty and stained. Doesn’t look like they changed the bedding through the whole week, bathtub was dirty and slippery. The card entry system hardly ever worked. Had to get the card recharged at least 10 times to get into room. The Laundry facility only had one washer which was never cleaned which cost 4.00 per load. As we left we informed the people at the front desk of our stay they didn’t seem very surprised of my complaint. I wouldn’t be so disappointed if the place wasn’t so expensive for what we got!

The bathroom was updated, but there was a chip on the base of the toilet (right where you would see it as you look down), and the bathroom sink was dirty & yellow under the rim. Comfortable pillows & mattress. The breakfast was good. The noise was pretty bad the first 2 nights. We could hear everything, with several people repeatedly talking loudly as they walked up & down the hall, knocking on their friend's doors. Didn't hear much the 3rd night because it was on Dec. 30th, on a Monday night, so probably very few people staying in the hotel that night. The heat/air conditioning seemed to have a mind of its own. We tried to adjust it because it was 78 degrees when we checked in (it was 55 degrees outside) but it was impossible to adjust the thermostat. We turned it on air conditioning, but it would adjust itself throughout the evening, going from 76 to 68 without us touching the thermostat. The front desk staff didn't sound very surprised, and did not offer to switch us to another room. Turned on a/c fan to drown out the noise in the hallway. I called the front desk to ask if they had a corkscrew we could borrow to open a bottle of wine but they said no. Not terrible, but would not recommend.

Stayed here twice and hotel has always been quiet and very clean. Great breakfast options. This is my go to stop when in Kansas City even if it’s a little out of the way. Staff is very nice and have never had any issues with my stay.

Kind of disappointed by this stay. Have never had a problem with a Holiday Inn Express before. To start, reservations were a mess. Someone in our group called several days ago to book two rooms, but had a very hard time communicating with the person on the phone (because of the hotel employee’s broken English), so we called to confirm we had two rooms for the night. They said no. So I booked a separate reservation (through Expedia). No big deal. When we got there, though, they told us he did indeed have two rooms. They let us cancel one so didn’t end up being a huge deal, just very inconvenient. When I got to my room it immediately smelled like smoke, and the carpet was nasty. I called down to let them know about the issues hoping they offer to switch rooms (they were not full), but they just said sorry we will make a note of it. All in all, not the worst hotel experience ever, but a very disappointing stay for $150 in a respectable hotel brand.

The room was dirty. There was no transition installed between the carpet and tile, you could see the plywood. When you turn on the water to take a shower it came out brown/tan and never cleared up.

Everything was quite acceptable with the exception of the TV-over 75% of the channels either didn't come in or had weak signal. Not very acceptable nor pleasing when all that's wanted after a very long drive and long days is to just watch TV & do nothing! ☹️

Hotel is nice enough. Tucked back a bit and takes a minute to find. I passed it and had to turn around for the entrance is a bit hidden. The WiFi was absolutely terrible. I couldn’t make a simple FaceTime call with my kids let alone do computer work. Breakfast options were great as always with holiday inn. Bed was comfy. Seems to be in a questionable area of town but safe enough. I may stay again if the wifi improves.

The beds were extremely comfortable however we switched room twice and the heat didnt work in either room. It made for a difficult night staying warm.

This was a nice hotel, but very very loud. The housekeeping carts were very loud and we could hear every step of the people in the room above us. We were also near the elevator and heard every ding of it going up and down the floors. Do not stay if you are a light sleeper.

Staff was absolutely awesome! Breakfast good, rooms great except kinda noisy, thin walls.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. But the cable service to the TV was out to just this room. The front desk made a fain attempt to repair it and he said that maintenance wasn’t able to help. Around 11 pm the bathroom vent started making a ticking sound as if someone was hitting the side of the vent. We had to shut the bathroom door to muffle the sound to sleep. The breakfast area opened about 45 mins later than they told us, so we delayed our travel to accommodate the lateness. These things were just a nuisance & if it was just one it’ll been no big deal. But the combination of things gone wrong was agitating. I decided to speak to someone just to make them aware of the issues and all I received after a 5 min wait was a little box on the counter to place your key card in. No one was around to talk to. Seemed fitting.

Very helpful desk staff. Had bandaids, a phonr charger and he even got us plates and silverware for our take out!! Very helpful!!!

Upon checking in you are required to pay $100 incidental fee in case something happens to the room during your stay. The $100 is supposed to be refunded upon check out. I checked in on 1/24/25 and as of today 2/11/25 the funds are still pending and not released. I have gone back to Holiday Inn and was told that the transaction was not cancelled and they went ahead an did it. However the cancelling of the transaction took place on 1/30/25 and again to date the funds are still showing pending with my banking institution. The other downfall is they invite those that don't have reservations to come into the lobby and get warm. Which is completely fine however when I stayed the man that was in the lobby when I checked in watched my every move. When I went to go and get my items out of my car, etc. etc. etc.. Other than this rooms are excellent....neat, clean 10/10.

We booked our room 11 days in advance. To ensure we get the room we wanted. That’s typically why we book so far out. We arrived late evening after a 4 hour trip and was only notified that our room was not available, I’m assuming it was given to someone else prior to our arrival? We were given a different room other than what was booked. After our trip we were tired and just decided it wasn’t worth the hassle to mess with the issue. Me, my wife and out two year old make our way to the 4th floor and open the room we were assigned, to be startled by the people already in that room! All of us embarrassed, I went back down to the lobby with my family to be questioned when I mentioned there was a family already in the room assigned. We were given another room at this point. I asked if pricing would be less and was not given a clear answer. The next morning during check out, I’m given a total that was More than my original booking to begin with. Unprofessional, they should have notified us before arrival that our room was not available so we could get rooms elsewhere. Lack of communication, very little emotion or understanding from the property with the issues and concerns.

Our team stayed here and it was the perfect location between venues. It was nice having breakfast before we had to head out as well.

Location was weird for a hotel

Hotel was okay! Nothing fancy! But had a decent stay! Wasn’t sure about the surrounding area but we did feel safe.

Great option for quick HWY access!

The bed was just okay, the room was just okay, bathroom was just okay, It seemed clean though. Breakfast was the worst we've ever seen at a Holiday Inn Express and we've stayed at quite a few (breakfast included is why we usually stay, along with them being clean and safe.)

Great place to stay. No issues. Loved the comfort of the bed. We were only there for one night so didn't take advantage of the pool or anything else. Great breakfast too. Loved the cinnamon buns!

There was limited staff to accomodate guests, and limited hours for dining that didnt mesh with our schedule. We selected the hotel because we thought we'd be able to squeeze in breakfast before our event (swim meet) and were told it wasnt available. Likewise there were multiple rooms occupied by a team of some sort that were exceptionally loud way into the night without any recourse
