Great location only 3 min walk to train station, and 5 min to beach. Really enjoyed the fantastic breakfast buffet and the on property swimming pool. Only advise was to not book the economy room as it’s facing a courtyard, is very nosy due to stairway and units across from courtyard. Room was very warm in April/may due to air conditioning being off till summer. Recommend to bring own fan as our ceiling fan was broken also and never fixed during our stay. Ultimately a nice stay and would return.

A lovely retro hotel. Straight out fo the 80’s but generally in very good condition. Comfortable beds, and good water pressure, the shower unit however was broken (room 111) so it was difficult to close. Wonderful helpful friendly staff. Nice large pool. Breakfast was ok, and catered for dairy free and gluten free diets. For a budget hotel in a great location this is ideal.

Notre séjour s'est très bien passé. L'accueil est agréable, la chambre assez grande avec une petite terrasse, la piscine propre, équipée de chaises longues et parasols, le petit-déjeuner très copieux et varié. Je recommande cet hôtel, très bien situé (en plein centre, proche de la plage et des transports), tout en étant au calme. Seul petit bémol : le manque d'insonorisation avec la chambre du dessus.

The hotel was an easy level walk from the train station. Our room was ready so we were allowed to check in 3 hours early which was helpful. The attic room had a large comfortable bef and a large balcony with sunbeds and chairs.The hotel is centrally located amd oy is sm easy ealk to the seafront. There are lots of dining options in the town. Although we did not use the pool it did look clean with a few sunbeds around it. Breakfast was until midday and there was a very good selection of food available. All the staff we came across were friendly and helpful. The only negative I can think of was that the plumbing was very noisy in our room which can wake you up. We would stay there again.

Although I´ve visited Sitges many times, this was the first time I´d stayed at the El Cid (despite seeing it regularly when looking for hotels). I was more than pleasantly surprised. Although it´s like stepping back into the late 80´s in respect of the style and decor of the hotel, it has everything you need for a great, economic holiday. Decent sized rooms and very comfortable beds; a great breakfast service that runs until 12:00 with a variety of hot and cold options; a nice little pool area (although it did get full pretty early so you need to be quick to grab a sun lounger!); and a convenient location for all that Sitges has to offer. Definitely recommended if you want a cheaper but still enjoyable hotel in sunny Sitges!

No entanto, alguns pontos negativos marcaram minha hospedagem: o ar-condicionado não estava funcionando e, ao informar a recepção, a resposta foi indiferente — disseram que era “normal”. O ventilador de teto ajudou um pouco com o calor. O ralo do banheiro também estava quebrado, o que chegou a machucar o pé durante o banho. Além disso, o chuveiro estava danificado e só funcionava como duchinha manual, o que causou certo incômodo.

Have stayed here a number of times and will continue to do so. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful and the hotel is spotlessly clean. Our room Was a decent size and the shower is one of the best I’ve ever used.

The property although it may have been built in the 1960s, it has been well maintained. The rooms were always kept in great order and cleaned each day. The access to the beach was an added amenity that we could take advantage of and enjoy. The train station is within walking distance of the hotel, so you can get back and forth to Barcelona very easily. But don’t forget you may need 45 minutes to an hour to get to Bar! But the easy access to the beach makes it all worthwhile.

The bathroom was the tiniest bathroom I’ve ever seen; it was like an airplane bathroom with a teeny-tiny shower. There was zero counter space in the bathroom. The breakfast was OK but the glasses smelled of eggs. The coffee was watery.

Bonjour, bon séjour malgré quelques déceptions. En effet, un souci d’ascenseur très bruyant en sachant que nous avions une chambre juste à coté, une obligation de payer un supplément pour certaines choses concernant le petit déjeuner (jus d’orange frais, omelettes… ) et une faible capacité à la piscine pour un hôtel assez grand, malheureusement pour nous quand nous avons voulu en profiter deux fois c’était très bruyant. Pour le positif, une chambre spacieuse avec une terrasse très sympa et toujours un accueil au top.

Rommene var helt greie, litt hard seng og den var vanvittig brei så ble litt lite plass til kofferter, var også veldig få stikkontakter. Badet var ganske bra. Er også en del mer lytt enn andre hotell jeg har vært borti så vi hørte andre gjester gjerne godt inn i natten.

Basic rooms with tired look and feel. Booked an attic room. Huge bed would sleep 3 easily. I slept well. AC never seemed to get the room cold, even tho on 24/7. Everything was clean and housekeeping did an excellent job. Small fridge in room. Shower leaked so small bathroom floor was wet. Terrace had two loungers two small chairs and small drinks table. One of the loungers had split webbing. Breakfast buffet was ok, all sort yourself, no laid tables. Staff seemed more interested in your room number than refilling the food. Again area was clean and breakfast is available til noon. Although what choice would be there im not sure. Pretty quite location. Minutes from Sitges centre, local Mercadona 5 mins walk. Beach probably 12 to 15 mins.

The breakfast was really good, lots of choice and availability. The rooms were a bit dated and our balcony didn't have a view. Negotiating entry and exit to the shower right next to the toilet was a feat! Soundproofing was also an issue. Overall value for money it was ok.

All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful The breakfast buffet was a big surprise Plenty of hot food, cold food, American food, Spanish food, cheese, food, pastries, coffee This was really a big huge brunch every morning and it was great to have it downstairs The hotel has upgraded to double pane windows so anytime you want quiet you just shut the window and it’s perfectly quiet There is a fan in the ceiling And there is an AC unit I didn’t use either I splurged for a room with a balcony It was great to sit outside on a cute little European side street and just watch the day go by ELCid was centrally located And I would stay there again!

Em geral, o Hotel El Cid está bem localizado, com fácil acesso à estação de trem e a cerca de 1 hora do centro de Barcelona. O café da manhã é bem variado, com várias opções de comidas, o que foi um ponto positivo. The hotel was perfect for me. The rooms are simple and a little dated and spotlessly clean. You have everything you need, big comfortable bed, excellent super quiet aircon. Small fridge. The shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. The staff are super friendly, kind and helpful. Excellent selection at breakfast. Lots of comfy seating in public areas where you can read and chill. There is a pool, I didn't use it but area was clean and tidy. Near to bars restaurants and beach. The airport bus also dropped us off just around the corner. Train station 10 minute walk.

Habitación 103, ruido toda la noche, cada hora por unos minutos se escucha un ruido como una moto!! IMPOSIBLE DORMIR ALLI! Casi sin dormir bajé a desayunar algo rápido (antes de las 08:00am), tenia cita con medico en Barcelona, por eso tan temprano, Me dijieron que no! Antes de las 08:00 horario oficial no se puede tocar el desayuno!! Asi que sin dormir, sin desayunar, me iba. Siempre se aprende algo, yo ya lo tengo claro con ese hotel.

In a word ‘amazing’! From the initial reservation to check out my entire stay was excellent. Great staff. Great room. Great facilities. Excellent breakfast. This hotel deserves to be way more than a 1 star property. The staff were friendly, helpful, efficient and kind. It was some of the best customer service I have received in Sitges in over 45 years of visiting the town. Ana at the ‘hotelsitges’ reservations team was beyond efficient and helpful with very prompt response to my emails. Well done all at the El Cid and at the ‘hotelsitges’ reservations team. I have already made 4 more reservations to stay at the hotel for 2023/2024. I will be recommending the El Cid Hotel to my family’s friends and work colleagues.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, al duurde het wel een uur voordat ik geholpen werd. Mijn fiets, ik reis van Nederland naar Calp, kon kreeg wen mooie plek toegewezen naast het restaurant. Perfect Mooie kamer met balkon en prima voorzieningen.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Cid. The location is super convenient just 3 minutes away from Sitges train station with trains every 15 minutes that take you to Barcelona within 30 minutes. Notre séjour s'est très bien passé. L'accueil est agréable, la chambre assez grande avec une petite terrasse, la piscine propre, équipée de chaises longues et parasols, le petit-déjeuner très copieux et varié. Je recommande cet hôtel, très bien situé (en plein centre, proche de la plage et des transports), tout en étant au calme. Seul petit bémol : le manque d'insonorisation avec la chambre du dessus.

The property although it may have been built in the 1960s, it has been well maintained. The rooms were always kept in great order and cleaned each day. The access to the beach was an added amenity that we could take advantage of and enjoy. The train station is within walking distance of the hotel, so you can get back and forth to Barcelona very easily. But don’t forget you may need 45 minutes to an hour to get to Bar! But the easy access to the beach makes it all worthwhile.

The hotel was an easy level walk from the train station. Our room was ready so we were allowed to check in 3 hours early which was helpful. The attic room had a large comfortable bef and a large balcony with sunbeds and chairs.The hotel is centrally located amd oy is sm easy ealk to the seafront. There are lots of dining options in the town. Although we did not use the pool it did look clean with a few sunbeds around it. Breakfast was until midday and there was a very good selection of food available. All the staff we came across were friendly and helpful. The only negative I can think of was that the plumbing was very noisy in our room which can wake you up. We would stay there again.

Very close to train & buses, only about 3 streets away- Bus from Airport leaves you 3 streets away from Hotel- staff members were nice & helpful, especially in giving directions- no problems with our room- Beach about 5 minute walk- so much great food nearby- hotel breakfast buffet is awesome with choices for all types of likes- thank you so much for hassle free stay- definitely will stay here again

Simple, clean room for a great stay. No frills but super convenient—especially if you’re using public transportation. Easy check-in. The breakfast was honestly wonderful and it saved me a bunch not having to eat lunch. Great selection of hot and cold dishes. Would highly recommend.

El Cid est un hôtel historique de Sitges. Il est resté dans son jus. Oublié le modernisme, il n'a pas été rénové. C'est un bon rapport qualité prix. L'intérêt c'est son prix. Les chambres sont bas de gamme, en rapport avec le prix. Le petit déjeuner est lui aussi bas de gamme, sans qualité, d'où le bas prix. Et la salle du petit déjeuner est jusque moche, en sous-sol, sans vision extérieure. Cet hôtel a un atout c'est son prix. Nous y avons passé 3 nuits, c'est suffisant. Je ne le déconseille pas du tout. Il faut juste être bien averti de son niveau bas de gamme. C'est un 1 étoile. C'est justifié

The hotel is excellent value for the location and level of customer service, breakfast is amazing frim 8-noon and pool area safe and relaxing with good facilities. The breakfast was really good, lots of choice and availability. The rooms were a bit dated and our balcony didn't have a view. Negotiating entry and exit to the shower right next to the toilet was a feat! Soundproofing was also an issue. Overall value for money it was ok.
