We had a short mid week break to celebrate my partner’s birthday. Check-in was easy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and spa. Breakfast was very good, as was the bar food for dinner. Would stay again

Everything about our stay was perfect! Staff were wonderful, facilities were amazing and the rooms were luxurious. The pool table and bar area was spacious and they had 2 outdoor fire pits with seating to take in the spectacular views!

Beautiful scenery and a vast property. I was thrilled to see wild kangaroos on the grounds. The room was spotless, the indoor pool was lovely, and the well-kept flowers and garden view from the restaurant were wonderful. The staff were friendly and kind. It’s a place I would love to visit again.

The reason we chose this property was due to the indoor heated pool... the pool was absolutely freezing and had a pool cleaning machine active during the day which was a trip hazard. Check in was at 3pm, but at 3.40pm we were srill waiting for our room to be ready. Also there was a strong drain smell in our bathroom that was very offputting for our entire stay. The staff were very nice and breakfast was lovely.

Very nice hotel with friendly stuff. Really enjoyed sitting outside in front of a fire, just perfect after dinner. Only the tennis court looked like it needs an update. Everything else I saw was in perfect condition. Can only recommend staying in this hotel

Amazing little haven for a weekend getaway. Fantastic common spaces/facilities to enjoy and very friendly staff. From fire pits at night to pizza, animals, swimming, games and tennis the family had a wonderful time . Will be back. Room was great only niggly thing was the very small 80s shower !

Kirkton Park was perfect for my writing retreat. The staff and friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and the public areas are really beautiful. Indoor pool and spa is great too. Rose garden is lovely.

A perfect place to stay. The rooms are pristine and beautifully decorated. Large comfortable beds. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly and there is a warm friendly vibe throughout the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and a vast choice. Lovely grounds around the hotel for a leisurely stroll. I highly recommend this hotel if staying in Hunter’s Valley.

Voco Kirkton Park, formerly the Sebel built in 1988 is really showing its age. Room cleanliness is not brilliant (grout mold in the shower for example) and room amenities not up to date, bedside PowerPoints difficult to access (power boards on the floor) bed titled in the the centre and a wonky ironing board. Travelled with 7 month old baby which was noted on the booking but there was no cot set up in the room. The floor was covered in animal and human hair. Under the bed was thick with dust. The shower took about 15mins to regulate the temperature and there was black stuff coming off the shower floor (possibly mouldy old silicone). The water pressure was non-existent. There was no microwave in the room. Considering the cost of the room per night, the amenities and cleanliness were lacking substantially. Not to mention that reception failed to provide us with crucial information regarding the wedding we we're attending for.

We had a bad stay because the hotel room was stinky and not clean. We can see dust and hair on floor. Beddings were quite smelly and dusty making us unable to sleep at night, instead we cough and sneeze throughout the night. Bathroom is too small and water leaks from glass door onto the toilet floor. The hotel needs a deep clean. Positive compliments are that front desk staff was friendly and helpful; morning breakfast is amazing.

The decor was very luxurious and made us feel like we were really being pampered! The door opening out into the balcony was wonderful to allow cool air to flow through and sitting out on the balcony enjoying a cup of tea was very pleasant with a beautiful outlook

Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Lovely place. Beds were uncomfortable sadly. There was a lot of banging noises from above our room which was annoying and kept us awake to early hours of morning. Views from our room were gorgeous. Room was kept cool from the exceptionally hot weather.

Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a different room. On arrival to the room it had wonderful views out the window and off the verandah to the countryside. Amazing sunsets. The bathroom was in horrible need of repair and update, the bath enamel was actually peeling off large sections of the bath, the taps and hardware on the shower and basin were extremely worn and in need of replacement. The bathroom roof had terrible cracking in the gyprock and needed repair and painting. Children were constantly running up and down the hallways and verandah which was not separated from other rooms. The breakfast was lovely in the resteraunt in the mornings with the staff there extremely lovely. Upon trying to organise some in room dining on the final night the QR code for ordering was not functioning properly and would not allow you to submit your order. Upon trying to use the room phone to contact the resteraunt or front desk the phones did not work. We then proceeded to contact the front desk and restaurant via mobile phone with no answer for almost an hour and a half. We gave up after that. Suffice to say we won’t be returning to Voco Kirkton Park any time soon.

There was a bad sewage smell in the bathroom so we let the reception staff know and they were brilliant, moved us to another room and gave complimentary buffet breakfast for all 4 of us. Staff are so friendly and accommodating.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Lovely place. Beds were uncomfortable sadly. There was a lot of banging noises from above our room which was annoying and kept us awake to early hours of morning. Views from our room were gorgeous. The reason we chose this property was due to the indoor heated pool... the pool was absolutely freezing and had a pool cleaning machine active during the day which was a trip hazard. Check in was at 3pm, but at 3.40pm we were srill waiting for our room to be ready. Also there was a strong drain smell in our bathroom that was very offputting for our entire stay. The staff were very nice and breakfast was lovely.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The unfortunate part of our trip was that we wanted to eat at their restaurant and it was closed for a private function. The lounge eating option was very good for lunch. The rooms have paper thin walls so I was awake all night with someone who was coughing all night and a very loud snorer in the adjoining room! Not really the hotels fault I guess! A bit disappointing overall!

We arrived back from an outing just before 10pm - ready for a nightcap at the bar and some food. We were told that bar service finished at 10pm and that the kitchen closed at 9:30pm. So NO FOOD was available at all and NO ALCOHOL was served. The hotel has no room service, no food or snacks in the room and is located in a rural area some distance from the nearest town. Too bad if you come back late and are starving or thirstly, I guess.

Everything was amazing However I paid $60 for a very average steak Felt like it was one of those Coles $6 special steaks. This was the only disappointing thing about the whole experience. I would definitely come back again. Not for the steak.

It’s a great location with lovely views and reasonably easy to get around the wineries! The rooms are OK but the general hygiene in the bathroom and the in room crockery and glasses were not acceptable. Room #16. The staff overall were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast included cooked to order options which was very well received. I would have to put out a general caution though if you’re not sure footed, the pavers are a challenge and there’s lots of stairs to tackle if you wish to go around the complex!
