Chateau Elan is an excellent place to stay. Grounds are immaculate, staff cannot do enough for you and the spa is wonderful. We stayed in the spa suites, they are nice but can be a bit noisy. We previously stayed in the villa studio and prefer that room. The restaurants are very good and restaurant staff are so kind. We had spa treatments and they were excellent. Staff at the spa will ensure you are happy and comfortable. We will definitely return to the chateau!

We loved our stay here, great facilities and we were lucky enough to get an upgrade for free! Beautiful golf course and staff were exceptional! I would say though that the parking situation is not ideal, even us staying mid week the parking was full from over flow of day time visitors.

The room was specious and with a private terrace facing the grounds. Clean, silent and well furnished. Only light by the mirror was not for makeup. Small towels for a luxurious hotel. Pool area had no “adult only time”. Too many noisy children and ignorant parents. Staff were friendly and supportive.

Rooms are well equipped and spacious, very relaxing after a day on the course or out touring wineries. Staff were happy and friendly. Beautiful well kept grounds with kangaroos and other wildlife wondering through. Great golf course to play on.

Wir hatten Appartment 190. Alt und abgewohnt aber Betten sauber. Alte Dusche sauber mit Handbrause. Klospülung kann man nicht betätigen ohne den Klo Deckel in die Hand zu nehmen oder zuzuklappen Schöne Aussicht vom Balkon auf den Golfplatz mit vielen Kängurus.Teppich nicht sauber. Kühlschrank und Gefrierfach grauslich. Der Stiegenaufgang war an einem Tag voll mit toten schwarzen Käfern.

It's the third time I've stayed at the Chateau Elan, and I was extremely disappointed in the overall cleanliness and facilities provided. Our room had dead bugs around the place (floor and bathtub), which I noticed immediately upon check-in. The bathtub looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned, with dirt rims around the inside of the tub tub, (I booked the spa suite purely for the bath and I was too turned off to use it). In addition, the main light didn't work in the room and given I was rushing to attend a wedding, I didn't have time to waste and managed to do my makeup with very poor lighting. Overall the room was terribly dusty, to the point that my sinus' has become severely inflamed the last two days with mild nose bleeds (as I am pregnant and sensitive to dust). Breakfast buffet was just as poor, with the food being Luke warm and hardly felt fresh (aside for the fried eggs I ordered fresh). I don't typically like leaving negative reviews, but for the premium price paid, I'm extremely disappointed. I cancelled alternate accomodation as it was my preference to return to this venue, based on two positive past experiences. I'd like to hope Chateau Elan takes this seriously, as I verbalised my concerns at checkout, and am awaiting to hear from management.

I think this is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at. Everything was perfect, not even 1 random hair. It was lovely. Once we were on our room it was like no one else was around and we owned the place. The spa bath was beautiful to relax in. The only thing that I didn’t like was the opaque doors for the toilet and shower. As well as the gap above the door to let any sounds or smells to roam the bedroom. This isn’t a place to take the kids (not that you can’t) it’s a place to enjoy as a romantic getaway.

Hotel was good, staff was excellent (Holly and the other 2 gentleman at the reception), however the cleanliness is not something I appreciated. Room was full of dust and you can tell it has not been cleaned in days, otherwise it wouldn’t be collecting dust. Also, the bathroom area had a very unpleasant smell. House keeping team must be spoken too

We stayed in one of the larger villa apartments. They are lovely and spacious, good layout, great outlook etc. However, they desperately need a refresh. The bed was old and saggy, the lounge sofa and armchair were small and uncomfortable, the room smelt musty and there wasn't a single piece of art / decor etc in the entire apartment. For the price paid we were left feeling disappointed.

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would visit again -- though would mention in room amenities like the fireplace (not working) and TV (slow/broken casting feature) may indicate the rooms need more thorough servicing.

Beautifully presented hotel and grounds. Good golf course. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast. Bathrooms in rooms badly need updating with cracked basins and tiles and shower doors that won't close. Also the TV's need updating as it is almost impossible to connect personal streaming services. Even the staff were unable to rectify the problem.

We told the hotel we were booking for our 35th wedding anniversary and they put us in the villa directly beside the construction work on the neighbouring property. The room was nice with a gas fireplace and large bathtub but the noise of cutting pavers and road grading went on from 7am to 4pm every day. They didn't warn us about the noise when we booked and they put us in the Villa right on the end next to the work. We felt like we drew the short straw

We had booked a Villa Studio with Golf View room. Very disappointed with it. Firstly, it was run down and in need of refurbishment. Secondly, the balcony had a solid wall and, if you were sitting down, your eye level was below the top of the wall - that's not a "View". Spoke to reception and upgraded to one of the Spa Suites in the main hotel block for a discounted upgrade fee. So much better. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Was originally put in a room with view of railing and construction site then told to pay extra $50 per night to move

We originally planned for just 4 nights but extended our stay an additional 3. Everyone was so extremely nice and helpful but Rozie in reception went above and beyond with our bookings, our tours, our room. She made our trip over the top excellent. Highly recommend! The golf was beautiful and challenging but we booked it twice because of how nice it was.

The reception 2 did not have my room ready even though I had a spa appointment what was I going to do leave my partner in the car so I did not get to attend my appointment which was over $400 dollars . The reception kept saying it was still dirty status and the room was still dirty once I checked in. Very unpleasant

Very nice hotel overall with friendly staff. The only issue was our room was not cleaned overnight for our 2 night stay. The only VIP perk was free WiFi and no upgrade offered. Otherwise very nice and would stay here again.

We had a really lovely stay. The staff at check in were polite, friendly and knowledgeable about the area as we visited from interstate. The grounds were kept beautifully maintained, there were a few different options within close range for meals and within short driving distance to a lot of the vineyards. The only issue I had considering the price per night was minor damages that should have been fixed such as the mini fridge door coming off its hinges. Overall great stay and will definitely recommend.

We recently spent three days in a spa suite on the first floor, and the experience was truly memorable. The view from the room was absolutely beautiful. Chateau Elan is a good spot to stay in the Hunter. The sprawling grounds and spacious rooms are comfortable, although on site dining is somewhat limited with ageing menus. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would visit again -- though would mention in room amenities like the fireplace (not working) and TV (slow/broken casting feature) may indicate the rooms need more thorough servicing.

Beautifully presented hotel and grounds. Good golf course. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast. Bathrooms in rooms badly need updating with cracked basins and tiles and shower doors that won't close. Also the TV's need updating as it is almost impossible to connect personal streaming services. Even the staff were unable to rectify the problem.

Great location, the rooms are spacious and well designed. You feel like you could stay a lot longer. And definitely want to return The villas are exceptional with the fireplace. The golf course looks amazing, the bar and restaurant 19 was fantastic! It is close to everything in the Hunter Winery scene. Only comment that is negative is the plates don’t fit in the dishwasher. We will definitely be calling this our go to for future stays.
