Belterra Casino Resort

Comfortable bed and nice large room. Pool was nice. Could use a hot tub

The property had various food options closed during the week. The Stadium Bar & Grill had excellent food. Don't go to Belterra to gamble unless you just want to feed the machines. No payouts greater than $10. Also, the video poker section was closed. So, definitely do not go if you like video poker.

Everything is very clean, the property is showing some age on the exterior. The casino needs updating with better games, better Sportsbook and better bars.

No valet parking. Limited staff. Check out was at 10.

Staff and food were fantastic. Bed was comfortable. Mold in the shower. The pool area was nice but not staffed and had to go inside the golf grill to get food and drink. Mosquitos in the elevator to get to the 3rd floor.

Would recommend staying at the hotel. We chose a non smoking room and it was amazing. The casino was a little disappointing as the smoke was somewhat overwhelming.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were for an older casino. The food at the Bar and Grill was delicious. The golf is expensive but amazing! I want to go back in the summer and enjoy the pool as well as the golf and casino! The staff are all really nice and friendly. I wish they had more table games like they used to, and I like to play $5 tables which are almost obsolete now. I didn't have any luck on the slots and we aren't high rollers so we didn't get a discount on golf for staying there which was a bummer. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and will visit again!

Love the atmosphere. Dining options were great and fair priced. Sad they no longer offer the spa option.

Casino was smoking facility. Did not like.

Hotel was good and clean. Bed had a broken spring at the bottom but did not effect sleeping. The casino floor was the problem. It was dirty, smoky, and multiple games were out of service. No video blackjack or poker. Limited table games, and overall poor gambling experience.

Bathroom shower curtain was gross and mold all over ceramic wall in shower area. Toilet kept flushing. Nonsmoking room but could smell smoke

Spacious, clean room and a nice outdoor pool. Enjoyed the breakfast food at the cafe.

Very clean. The rooms are very quiet and spacious.

We had a great time. The staff is great. The only issues we had were the bathroom sink faucets leaked onto the counter top when on and the pool had a lot of green algae on the sides.

Asked for river view gave us view of dead birds outside of the window. Dirty beds

Room had a refrigerator, but no microwave. The shower ran for 5 minutes and never got hot.

We stayed in a water view room. I feel that the room could use some updating, The TV was a older model and I dont care for the square pillows on the bed. Other that that we liked everything else.

The walls are paper thin so you can hear every single thing in the rooms next to you. For the price of the room, i expected to get some sleep but i got better sleep in the $58 room at a budget motel the following night.

We went for my 52nd bday and I was excited to eat, gamble and getaway. We had fun gambling for sure! Having said that, the bath (which I was looking forward to after seeing pics) was terrible: the drain didn’t plug (room 667) and the hot water ran out after a few minutes. I tried to make a makeshift plug with my wash rag, but it was a lost cause. The water pressure was terrible. That made the end of the evening frustrating. Which in turn made my hubby grumpy too. We most likely won’t return.

Overall a nice place except the bed. We could not sleep! It was so damn hard our legs kept going numb. Aside from that everything was nice.

First time at this Hotel Room view was off rooftop!! Walls seem to be thin because the guy snoring in the room next to us kept me up most the night. We stayed 2 days and the $$ wasn’t worth the room.

The room was clean and bed was comfy. Room maybe a bit outdated, but still nice.

The main floor and common areas were beautiful and inviting. The room had a few issues: it was clean, but despite being on a non-smoking floor, it smelled like stale cigarette smoke. The bathroom door needed to be adjusted it stuck at the top; the beautiful oval bathtub had a shower curtain too short to reach into the tub causing a flood when showering.

It had been awhile since we last visited Belterra. This trip was disappointing. Given the rate, I was expecting the same experience with our room we have had in the past. Not the same, although clean, the shower was terrible, took 20 mins to even be slightly warm, the water pressure was terrible, and it leaked out of the too short curtain. My $10 shower head in my own shower is better. Made our stay subpar.

Your front desk personnel are the best! I didn’t particularly like the first room NOT a problem! Thanks for making us feel welcome.

The AC was not working correctly. It kept clicking on and off all night rapidly. One of the front desk ladies refused to change our room to a non-smoking room, though it is a cheaper room without us calling the third party booking site. Thank God the booking site called them and told them it was okay to switch, though I was told it was what they call "in travel" (if I heard that term correctly) and said the hotel should just switch it. We obviously took a pay lose and it wasn't even offered to refund us on that. Then in the morning, housekeeping was out knocking on everyone's doors waking up everyone. That is absolutely the rudest thing I encountered and could hear through the door as they repeated banged on others. I have stayed at many places and I will not stay here again for the above reasons. Customer service should be the foremost and the lady last night lacked customer service skills.

Staff was very helpful and friendly and answered all of my questions.

Limited dining options. We stayed Monday and Tuesday night which are apparently days that several restaurants/clubs are closed. Staff and service was disappointing. There were no servers on the casino floor. The person working at the cafe Posh and a bartender at the Boat Stage Bar were both impatient and showed little cordiality.

Great time, a few staff were a little rude

I booked two rooms and we all arrived on Tuesday, September 3rd, ready for a day of serious gambling. We got there at 11 AM, only to be told we\'d have to pay a $28 "Early Check-in Fee" Per Room if we wanted to check in before 2 PM. So, we had lunch, we all left the casino, and spent our money elsewhere since they CLEARLY didn\'t want us there before 2 PM, even though the resort was empty. We returned at 6 PM to a virtually empty resort, checked in, and were hit with an $11 "Resort Fee" Per Room! No bellmen were available, no valet, no doorman, but the check-in staff was very friendly and nice. For dinner, our only options were the same sports bar, or a nice steakhouse. Because it was so freezing cold in the resort, we stuck to the sports bar because it was too cold to have a nice, long, expensive, formal dinner. The deluxe king rooms were very nice, and fully stocked with towels and amenities. Unfortunately, the showers in both rooms were barely lukewarm on full hot, so we weren\'t able to take showers in the evening. None of us gambled even one penny, because the casino was freezing, and with all the resort fees and "early check-in fees" in a near-empty resort, and no hot water in either room, we figured the machines would be WAY too tight to waste our money on. The resort felt deserted--we saw a total of just 18 other guests the entire time. In the morning, neither room had hot water again. I spoke with the desk manager, and she comped our resort fees and a dinner

Staff is very friendly.

The Stadium is amazing. The self checkin was quick and easy especially when there was a line of people waiting at the counter.

The property was really nice. There was one individual at the desk that was not appreciative when my husband asked that our room be serviced. He was rude with his facial expressions. Otherwise everyone else was very kind.

The room was way, way too far from the only elevator.

No restaurants close or shopping areas but hotel and room is big and clean

Great property. Great food, comfortable bed. The ONLY negative is that if you are coming from the northwest of Florence, the only way to get there is narrow country lanes…. Would never attempt it in the dark if you are unfamiliar with area.

Nice spacious clean room. Low flow shower was inconvenient. Place is pretty isolated - we ate at the same restaurant for 3 days straight. We weren’t here to gamble - here for a college golf tournament. Staff is nice.

Everything was excellent, except the bed could have been a little softer. Location not so good in the middle of nowhere.. However the hotel has everything you need restaurants, shops. Definitely will stay again. All of the staff were very helpful and all had smiles to brighten your day.

Hotel and casino are clean but outdated. Absolutely nothing to do within 30 minutes of the casino.

Love staying at Belterra, the new upgrades at the casino are very nice. A group of friends and I stayed here for the Swiss Wine Festival, it was about 10 minutes away. The only thing that would've been more convenient wouldve been a shuttle offered by the hotel.

I liked how convenient everything was within the hotel.. The casino, shops, places to dine and the great staff.. What i didn't like there was nothing else there outside of the casino.. No mall our dollar general.. It was really remote...

This hotel is conveniently located in florence indiana. Beautiful facility located on the ohio river. I would gladly stay at this hotel again.

Charge for breakfast. Dining experience has been poor last three visits.

Our favorite part of this stay was dinner at 19 Steak and Seafood. The food was out of this world and our server Michael was awesome, such a lovely experience. Service at restaurants these days is so hit or miss, spot on with this young man. Hope they can keep him.

We stayed Tuesday through Friday morning. It was very clean and comfortable. Beautiful facility. We were disappointed with the restaurant choices. You have to be a “ member” to eat at one of them. Another one is only open certain hours in the morning/evening on weekends only, . Another one, the steaks range $55-98!!! So we ate at the same sport bar restaurant our entire stay and got occasional snacks from another shop., where a small bottle of juice cost $4.55!!!!

No breakfast option except small coffee place. Everything closed at 10 on Sunday night…except limited menu at sports bar ( no dessert option) staff at sports bar ( server for lunch) so incredibly room dripping plates and turning around and asking if we needed anything as she was walking away. The rooms need updated

I have stayed at Belterra numerous times and have had nothing but good experiences. This time wasn’t the best, however. We purchased a non-smoking room, and immediately upon entering, we were greeted with a very heavy smoke smell, so much so that we called the front desk to see if they had mistakenly given us a smoking room. They told us that it was indeed a non-smoking room, but did not offer to relocate us to a room that might be more suitable. They did offer to come spray something in the room, which if they did, did not in any way mask the smoke smell. Later that evening, just by trying to pull the bathroom door closed from the inside, the door knob literally pulled off into my hand with the screws still attached, and a cork-type material spilled all over the floor. Lastly, and I will take fault for not noticing this before, but the lack of late-night dining options in/around the casino was apparent. It’s easy to lose track of time in a casino, and after 11 pm, the only food option other than a vending machine in the entire hotel was hot dogs and chips at the casino bar. They only had one hot dog available at the time, and the bartender said it would take 20 minutes to warm up the machine to get any more ready. Again, my fault for not being aware of late-night dining options, but certainly would recommend not waiting until after 11, because there will be nothing available. We will likely return at some point, but overall, it was not the best experience

The hotel had a luxurious feel to it and everything was very clean! Food at The Stadium was delicious, our beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was quite spacious with a jet tub and a shower both. My only areas for improvement would be to offer a more affordable restaurant onsite--"19" looked great but was out of our price range-- and to have more consistent bar/food staff at the pool during the weekdays. Our biggest deterrent was the smoke in the casino. Previously, we have been to casinos that had a designated smoking area, which we feel would have been nice here.

Room was nice! Steakhouse really good.. sportsbar is fine except the food. Casino has good odds. God forbid you try and have fun at the tables though. You will be scolded and cut off. It's a casino people! Challenging golf course. Golf shop staff was awesome

Great hotel to scape. Casino is great, restaurant 19 is awesome (expensive but food was great). Be careful with " market price" items.
