Overall our stay was good. We were in town for a concert so we only needed a room to sleep and shower for one night. The lobby area was very clean. The staff were pleasant. Our check-in was delayed slightly due to the rooms not being ready yet, but they found us different rooms that were ready so that worked out. The room was okay. It was clean. The shower tiles looked like they needed to be scrubbed. The ceiling needed to be cleaned or at least repainted and the windows were very dirty. The heated pool was cold. Overall 3.5 - 4 stars.

Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Every staff memeber I interacted with was very polite. The breakfast buffet was lovely and definitely worth the price. The rooms were clean, tastefully decorated, and very quiet. The only downside I experienced, was that the heated pool was very cold, and could use a good cleaning. I would absolutely return here.

Very easy to get into Boston. I liked the view and the low highway sounds at night. Room option had free parking which was great for my budget. Bar had plenty of great beer on tap and good food. Room was clean and comfortable but hotel is getting near time for more renovations. Room was cleaned each day without requesting. Gym had limited but good equipment. Loved that there was a filtered water bottle filling station next to the ice machine on my floor and in the gym. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very nice and rooms are large and clean. The housekeeping cleaned our room each day thanks! It would be nice to have a hot tub. I was looking forward to it and disappointed that there wasn’t one. Also GPS shows the wrong spot as the hotel entrance which makes it extremely difficult to find and we had to go around d twice to get in.

We stay here every year for a family event in Newton. We love this hotel. Convenient and accommodating. Breakfast is super basic but fine. Front desk very helpful, hotel bar is just what you need at the end of the day. Pool is small but there is never anyone in there but us so it's fine. The highway that runs under the highway isn't noisy to us at all. For one night a year, it's perfect.

Perfectly placed between the suburbs of Newton and not a far drive from downtown Boston and the many variety of coffee shops and restaurants. Property is older but kept clean, we only really returned there to sleep. Only complaint is the dysfunctional elevators as out of 4 only 1 was working and with rattling doors. Wait time was quite significant during check in and check out hours.

Hotel is built over the I-90 highway, with all rooms on both sides of hall facing the road either on the west or east. So highway noise can be heard. Hotel provided white noise machine in each room to partially camouflage the noise. We were on a high floor and found the noise manageable. Hotel was only 10 minutes to Cambridge or downtown by car except during rush hours. Rooms were spacious, beds and shower were good. Apparently, rooms are only cleaned alternating days, which they hadn’t told us during checkin. And even after a cleaning day, we had to call to have them clean the floor and restock towels and other items they missed. But they were responsive. All in all, we were satisfied with our stay even though they are opportunities for improvement.

The room was fine. The windows were filthy and faced the highway, the noise of the cars was a bit overwhelming as was the awful sound the heat made when it came on. Right below my window there was construction. My first night, for some reason my television suddenly blasted on at 4:00am. I had to get up to turn it off, the remote was on the desk. Then at 5:30 the alarm - not one I set, came one. All in all a pretty terrible night's sleep. Oh, and the toilet paper -- honestly felt more like newspaper - for $200.00 a night for a small, room with a King sized bed in it, a room that had seen better days -- you could at least provide toilet paper that's a bit softer. A hotel stay should be comfortable, one should receive amenities, like soft toilet paper - one wants to feel pampered, not as if they're in the outback.

I was really disappointed by the poor condition of this hotel. Our first room had a mouse and was filthy—especially the bathroom, which looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly in a long time. We were moved to another room, but the lock on the door was loose, and everything felt old, worn down, and neglected. This place is in serious need of updates and better maintenance. Would not stay here again unless major improvements are made.

The property had filtered and sparkling water machine in the lobby and free coffee in the morning which was great. However, checkin was a bit late and disorganized, we saw a mouse in the lobby, and only decaf coffee was placed in the room.

My room smelled stale and musty and I sneezed a lot. The staff were 5/10, they weren't horrible but not welcoming. The entire hotel, reception, elevators, hallways felt dingy. The highway runs right under the building. My room on the 4th floor, the highway noise was louder than the air conditioner. I couldn't sleep at all and was miserable. There is also beeping in the hallway all night, possibly a low battery to smoke detector? I could hear other guests talking through the walls. Awful

There was a rat running around in the room in the middle of the night, and we had to pack, move to another room, and unpack again. And the hotel even charged us the full amount of room fees, left such a disgusting taste in our mouth.

The room was rather dirty, with dirt/mud up the walls, there was hair in multiple spots in the bathroom, the tissue box had all the tissues pulled out and crumpled back in and we were given towels with stains; not to mention we stayed on the only floor that was without a water & ice machine. I personally don’t find myself wanting to stay here again.

Partially renovated but still worn out hotel. On top of a highway, it is pretty noisy. The toilette’s flushing mechanism needs an upgrade, shower spout is coming off the wall, and the A/C is loud like a truck’s engine. Will not go back.

We were in a room right next to the elevator and as I laundry room that had a broken door so it was quite a noisy stay. The windows in the room were filthy so you couldn’t look out. The beds had three sheet-like blankets on them and not actual blankets and the sheets themselves were crusty and uncomfortable. Felt like sleeping with sandpaper. The bathroom was tiny with an odd layout and an oversized toilet getting in the way of everything. I really wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

If you have ever wondered what it was like to sleep above a 6 lane highway, this is the place for you! To be fair the person at the desk was very nice, room was clean and a good room, but for 200$ + , I would rather have stayed somewhere else. The front side of the hotel may be less noisy. The side I was on the view out the window is directly over the highway and you could hear loud cars and motorcycles throughout the time in the room.

We stayed for 5 nights. Little small for my daughter and myself in terms of space. The common area on the main floor is newly renovated and very clean. Rooms are updated decently and reasonably clean. Staff are super attentive and courteous. The downside was it’s in a part of town with no stores and dining options. Hotel has on-site restaurant so we used breakfast buffets for some mornings. Right off a highway that runs west/ east direction so convenient.

It was clean. Hotel staff was nice. Breakfast was not worth the price. Bed was soooo uncomfortable. We could not get the room to be cool at all, so we would sweat when trying to sleep. They had water bottle refill machines which was nice. It is on the bus line, but one that doesn’t run as frequently. So, there were many times we had to just call an uber or have to wait around for an hour.

Hotel is lovely, staff is fine. Major problem with this hotel is that it's ON a highway (I-90). Literally. Loud trucks go by all night. There's no room that doesn't face the highway. Despite ear plugs, the room's "high fan" setting, my white noise sleep machine, and being on a high floor, there was too much noise from the highway. Truly horrible location for a hotel.

I arrived around 11PM after a long drive, the guy at the front desk told me someone else already checked in my room. I showed him my confirmation to the reservation and my ID and the guy still argues with me saying someone already checked in. After a long wait he gave me a key to another room, and when I Tred to open that room there was a guy coming out of the room which was very scary. In all my years of traveling to various places I have never had a problem of these magnitude. When I came back to tell the receptionist at the time about what happened the guy didn't even apologize, and after a long wait he gave me another key and this time it was ok. So, the checking process was horrible and took more than one hr and the person in charge didn't seem to know what is going on and that was very bad. I will never stay in that hotel again!

I travel for business monthly and always stay at the Four Points in Newton. The staff is very friendly & helpful. Rooms are comfortable & clean. It’s nice to have a restaurant in the hotel lobby and the Social Restaurant…food is always good! It can be a little noisy on lower level but always request a higher floor when booking.

The shower handle was very stiff to turn. And the fridge in the room wouldn't open. The fire alarm went off, and the staff was not very communicative about what was going on. In the future, more information would be helpful to allay fears.

The facility was great. The staff was great and kind. The only negatives were the constant banging of the carts in the middle of the night going in and out of the elevators and the doors to the rooms slamming all night. But that had nothing to do with the staff.

It's conveniently located, easy to get to the City. The toll is relatively cheap. However have in mind the I-90 crosses under the hotel building. Which is pretty cool engineering buy we could always hear the traffic noise.

This hotel was clean and well managed, and it's convenient to all kinds of Newton attractions. However, its location straddling the interstate means that traffic noise is heavy and nonstop (i.e., hard to sleep through). Also, finding the entrance is a nightmare because it sits at a muddled and dangerous intersection of on-ramps, off-ramps, and city streets. On a more minor note, the only chair in our room was the desk chair; there was nowhere else to sit except on the bed despite plenty of room for an armchair. Weird.

Nice hotel literally built over busy Interstate 90 in Boston. Comfortable room and facilities, clean and neat and nice staff with good selection for breakfast and easy parking. What I wish were different is that you hear the interstate car noise in your room ( a bit more than a hum) and outside ( noisy). Otherwise, good value.

Check in was easy and quick. The only thing that was hard to figure out was where the ice was located. By the way it was the even floors apparently. Breakfast was great and for the location and what you got good luck finding something better for the price. Check out was also very easy and parking was ample. The only difficulty was the access to the garage was on one side and if you missed it and I did it was a lot of circling to get back to it and Google maps was not smart enough to help. My fiancé and I went to Bertucci’s for dinner which was a 5 minute walk and it was on par with many top dollar Italian restaurants. We then went into Boston for a cruise of the harbor and it was simple to get in and out. So this is a perfect option to stay just outside Boston and still enjoy Boston.

The small restaurant did not open on a regular basis. It was closed on weekends. The toilet in room 705 ran water. The noise from the turnpike was very loud and you could hear the occupants in the adjoining room. Room service was excelent.

While the property was not located in Boston it was conveniently close. A bus line into the city ran right next to the hotel or you could cheaply Uber into Boston for less than $20. There was a lot of variety in their breakfast offerings and they were very good.

Checked in around 8pm to the smell of skunk weed from people smoking on benches near the entrance. Why a nice hotel would allow something like that is beyond me, it stinks worse than cigarettes, is offensive, especially for recovering addicts, and made us feel unsafe. I get that it’s legal, but can they offer a place not near the entrance to partake? Let people stink up in their parked cars. It totally ruined the vibe, and thank god I didn’t have young children, I would have turned around and walked out. Our room had an odor of BO, the hallways looked tired, and beds need an upgrade. Very loud noises from trucks on Mass Pike woke me up super early, use the continuous fan mode on the AC unit. Breakfast was good, but attendants were way too attentive. Let me get my own toast off the conveyor belt and don’t take my dishes until I’ve left the table, felt rushed.

Let’s start with the positives: There’s parking ($20 with in/out privileges), a usable mini fridge, comfy bed, free Wi-Fi, and melt-away butter mints at check-in (a win). Staff was pleasant, no complaints there. Now the not-so-great: My room needed a serious refresh stains on the comforter (looked like old blood), and strange loud noises all night (HVAC? hallway ghosts?). I barely slept, though my partner slept fine. The elevator claimed it needed a key card, but the swipe mechanism was missing so, not exactly secure. We also ate at the hotel restaurant (Social) big mistake. Caprese salad had bland, mealy tomatoes (during tomato season) and garlic that tasted... chemical. Meatballs were giving frozen realness. The flatbread was okay-ish, but still mid. Overall: Okay for a quick stay, but skip the restaurant and maybe bring your own blanket.
