Lake View Inn & Suites

The family who runs this hotel are very friendly and kind and I can't compliment them enough. However, the property itself is a bit of a let-down. I rented the executive suite - the second most expensive room on the property - and it was in very poor repair. The tub was full of half-painted over chips and the shower was not secured to the wall. I couldn't use the jacuzzi tub because it was full of cracks and looked like I'd fall through. The mirrors were so smeared they were unusable. Also, I have to question how clean anything else was because i found used drug paraphernalia just lying on the floor behind one of the nightstands. In addition, at a hotel on a lake one would reasonably assume that the premium suite rooms would be the ones with the best view of the lake. That's not the case here. The suites are on the opposite side of the hotel from the lake. TL;DR - Amazing staff, but that doesn't make up for seedy overpriced rooms.

The good: location, the suites have a jetted tub. Water was the hottest of any motel I've been to (which is what I prefer) and it had a mini fridge, microwave and direct TV. The bad: the room was filthy. Chipped paint, rust, cigarette holes in the bedding, dead bugs and spiders and tile chipped or falling apart everywhere. Furniture was also pretty dirty and outdated. Check out was at 11 and the manager was knocking on the door at 11 on the door to shoo people out. I didn't think it was worth what I was charged.

I liked the cold air conditioner and large swimming pool. Whoever painted the pool did not use the correct paint because the paint is coming off the concrete that is under water. Our room was a nonsmoking room but our sheets and bedding had burnt holes in them. I would not recommend staying at this hotel .

The linens appeared to be clean, but there were burns in the bedspread. Also, I had to leave the property before I could even check in because they wanted a 20 dollar cash deposit. I had already paid $150 for the room. But I could not check in without giving them $20 cash.

Only booked the room to swim, thank goodness. Pool was full of foliage, shower was falling apart, 2 and a half flat pillows, we didnt even sleep there. The plus side: Ac works good and has no bugs.

It took me over half an hour to check in because Expedia and the property had a financial issue with each other. I was not impressed. I will not be back.

There were roaches in the room so i immediately left. Spoke to the desk and they said I can get my money back.

We walked in, turned around and walked back out. First off, there were giant burn holes in the old bed spread and the room smelled very strongly of smoke and chemicals. Clearly, the chemicals were not ones used for cleaning. The walls had filth smeared and dripping down them. The toilet looked like a worn out toilet from the back of a shady truck stop - those ones where the key is tied to a big stick. Also looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a few years. I was afraid to sit on the surfaces or even pull back the sheets to check for bed bugs. Literally everything was filthy. To top it all off, even the ceiling was made up of those foam office tile things. I know how easy it is to move one or poke a hole. If I stayed there, I would feel unsafe. The woman at the desk clearly didn't want to be there and didn't care at all about her customers or her child, who was also there. There was a $20 cash deposit upon check in that was posted absolutely nowhere, making it a total surprise and inconvenience, which the clerk also did not care about. Unfortunately, I prepaid for two nights and was unable to get any sort of refund. Even if you just need a place to pay your head for a while, this is NOT the place to go. You can go down the road a bit and get a usable room for about the same cost.

The room is dirty, the walls are dirty, the bathroom is dirty, the towels had stains! Terrible! And there was no breakfast! I don't recommend this hotel to anyone

It was a nasty room. Absolutely filthy. A waste of money. Bathroom fixtures for the tub. Did not operate properly. Had big leaks running down the wall and onto the floor. There were some roaches in the room, so I slept with the lights on all night. Never again.

This was a quiet and clean place to stay and affordable when you have pets with you. The staff is very kind.

This was a quiet and clean place to stay and affordable when you have pets with you. The staff is very kind.

Very much quite and not a lot of traffic though the property

Staying with Carole was wonderful. A peaceful, relaxing, and welcoming atmosphere that draws you back in time, I believe Carole‘s place is one of my favorite stays.

This property is peaceful and has a back patio on the rooms which the other hotels in this area do not offer. there is a view too, of the river. Lovely place

It was a older hotel but was right on the lake beautiful sunset

It was a great location to set off some New Year’s Day fireworks! As well as watch others in celebration of 2025!
