Stayed 1 night

I had a decent stay at this hotel for one night. To start, it was a bit of an annoyance checking in. My check in time was 3pm and I had a ride booked to an event at 3:30pm. I arrived at 3pm on the dot to check in and the room wasn’t ready and they had me wait. Around 3:20 I asked for an update and they said the room was still not ready, so I told the girl working the front desk about my situation and she helped me out and switched my room to one that was ready and I was able to get to my ride in time. The bed was fairly stiff and I had trouble falling asleep with the blankets as they are pretty uncomfortable/rough feeling. Sheets/blankets smelled okay. I couldn’t find an outlet to plug my phone into next to the bed at first until I checked hard underneath the bedside table and there was a free outlet I was able to use. Curtains do a pretty good job at blocking the sun. Mini fridge was nice for me to put my drinks in. AC/heater is really nice. TV is small and high up in the room, but it had enough channels that I was able to put on football and relax. Checkout time was 11am and I overslept it by 5 minutes and was woken up by someone trying to open the door and not being able to because of the deadlock. I quickly got my stuff together, messaged on the hotels app that I was heading down to the lobby in a few minutes, and exited the room and there was 4 staff members outside my room waiting and they seemed very relieved when I walked out of the room it was honestly super weird.

Property is outdated but suitable for a place to sleep. The first room they gave me, the floors squeaked so badly I thought I'd fall through. When I went down to tell them, one guy said, "They all do." Second room still squeaked but not as bad. Breakfast is on the low end of continental. I had a room with a fridge, microwave, and small sink on an island. The fridge and freezer were full of ice upon arrival and then froze anything I put in there. There was no dish soap or any way to wash dishes in the sink. Overall though, it was a decent place. Considering it's the only hotel in Hamburg, I am sure I'll be back again.

Check in people were very nice, definitely wasn't as nice of a property as I was expecting for the price. Clearly hasn't been updated in quite some time. Carpets felt a little yucky on bare feet, but we just needed to sleep and get up and go in the morning so it was ok.

First there was a $35 incidental fee on top of the amount I had already paid even though it was never mentioned ahead of time during check in through the phone and I asked the guy behind the desk about it and he acted like he couldn’t be bothered or that he was completely uneducated. Second. The bed was the shape of a U. A huge dip in the center of the mattress super uncomfortable.
