Days Inn by Wyndham Hillsboro

The room was a good size, and it even had a whirlpool bath in it. However, there was a musty smell in the room, and several dead bugs right inside the door. I believe these things should have been handled before we arrived.

We stayed here because we needed to be close to a nearby wedding venue, and this appeared to be the best hotel option in Hillsboro. If I were making the trip again, I would probably look for an Airbnb instead. Our first room had visible black mold in the tiled shower, so we requested a different room. The staff accommodated the request, and the second room, which had a shower insert instead of tile, was much better. Be aware that there is no elevator, so if you're assigned a room on the second floor, you'll need to carry your luggage upstairs. The pool was decent and served its purpose. However, after using the room towels after swimming, we asked the front desk for clean bath towels and were told they didn't have any available. We eventually had to find a housekeeper to get fresh towels. It's a small issue, but one that shouldn't happen. The vending machines only accepted cash, which felt outdated, and the complimentary breakfast was below average. Fresh waffles were the highlight, but the breakfast sandwiches were prepackaged, refrigerated, and had to be microwaved. Overall, this is a safe, reasonably clean place to spend the night if you're passing through or need convenient lodging in the area. I wouldn't consider it a destination hotel or somewhere I'd choose for an extended stay, but it was adequate for a single night.
