Staying in a castle was quite impressive! Our room was clean and modern and very comfortable, but still retained all the character of the castle. We had the surprise perk of being able to explore the castle walls included in our stay - how incredible! The pool is also nice - very refreshing for the summer! But it does get shady early… Beautiful courtyard to have breakfast, but breakfast was a bit expensive for what is offered.

We visited Zafra as the first stop of our tour of Extremadura and were very happy with this hotel - historic building ( old castle and pretty courtyard ), lovely room , friendly helpful staff and had a good lunch from the cafe sitting in sunny courtyard ( including delicious vegan option for my wife ).Only a couple of minutes walk to the main square and cheap parking available just outside the hotel .Would stay here again - not too far from Seville airport , so very convenient after flight. .

El parador es espectacular en cuanto a edificio historico. El interior es acorde a la epoca, habitaciones acogedoras. La piscina esta bien de tamaño aunque el entorno es reducido y dependiendo del momento puede que no tengas sitio. El desayuno no me ha gustado y creo que no merece la pena en relacion al precio, alrededor del parador hay varios establecimientos que por ese precio puedes salir mas que satisfecho.

The room I was given (206) had a faulty safe, the shower had black mould inside, and the bathroom door did not shut. I complained and was then given a better room. The air conditioning was all switched off by the hotel, and the swimming pool was closed. Good restaurant and breakfast, and of course the interior courtyard area is wonderful.

This four star hotel advertises "Parking Available" but it is street parking without privilege. The neighborhood is filled with bars and restaurants, cars are parked everywhere including sidewalks and illegal places. The front desk has no information on additional parking and told me to "figure it out myself." I didn't expect this attitude at a four star luxury hotel. I ended up parking 1km away in a very dark neighborhood hoping the car would not be broken into or stolen. In short, if you are traveling by car, do not choose this hotel.

The inner courtyard is lovely. We had popped in for a drink when previously in Zafra so this time decided to stay. The beds were very comfortable and everywhere was clean. The breakfast was very good and we stayed for dinner, mostly due to the lovely surroundings. The service was very good and the food was fine though not outstanding. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only complaint relates to the water. We were on the third floor and we had to waste a considerable amount of water before we could get a hot shower. This is very bad in a region with severe water shortages.

Skip it! It gives a feeling of old Sovjet. - Great spacious room, but miss a linen towel which you always get in Italy. - the kitchen needs some inspiration. The dinner we had was rather plain.

Hotel muy anticuado y con grandes carencias tanto en las habitaciones como en el resto de dependencias. Las camas muy incómodas. El baño absolutamente anticuado. Tout était merveilleux à l’exception que mes voisins qui avaient un balcon fumaient énormément et ma chambre était très affectée par la fumée. Je fut très incommode. A la réception ils m’ont répondu qu’ils ne peuvent rien faire. Très dommage mais pour cela je ne retournerai pas.
