Extended Stay America Suites - Buffalo - Airport

Vi havde brug for et hotel nær Niagra, hvor vi havde adgang til køkken. Det blev en bookning i sidste øjeblik - meget var udsolgt, så vi tog dette hotel. Vi frygtede vi ville høre en masse larm pga. den nærliggende lufthavn, men det var ikke så slemt. Vi hørte lidt støj fra en flyver en gang imellem, men ikke særlig tit - det var bestemt ikke noget der forstyrrede vores nattesøvn eller ro. Det var et meget "plain" ophold. Der var hvad vi havde brug for. 2 seng og et lille køkken. Rigtig fint til prisen.

I was extremely disappointed and uncomfortable during my stay at this property. Upon arrival, there was a woman in the lobby screaming and acting aggressively before physically assaulting another woman. Police arrived shortly afterward. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident. On two additional occasions when returning to the hotel, there were police vehicles on-site — the last time there were three police cars present. During the third incident, I asked one of the attending officers what was happening and was informed that the property is being used as emergency housing for individuals in crisis. While I understand and respect the importance of providing emergency accommodations, this information was never disclosed when booking the hotel. Throughout the stay, I witnessed open drug use in the parking lot and ongoing disturbances that made me feel very unsafe as a paying guest. The overall atmosphere was stressful and unsettling rather than welcoming or secure. This property may be suitable for some travelers, but based on my experience, I would not feel comfortable staying here again or recommending it to others who are expecting a typical hotel environment focused on guest comfort and safety.

Somethings were very well used, no shampoo, conditioner in the rooms. Not much sound proofing.

Although the staff was kind, the rooms linens were horrid. There were lots of debris under the mattress protector and pillow cases. The staff understood and brought fresh linens and dressed the bed for me but it felt very much that they assumed I was lying. I then showed them the photos. The ice machine had no ice. The tub did not have a stopper so that we can soak or relax after a long travel period. The staff themselves were kind, courteous and helpful once asked. I have a feeling they are doing the best they can with what they have. Location is fabulous for train and airport traveling. If planes going will deter your sleeping, avoid this area. I did t think it was bad but I could understand how it might not work for others. We did however not stay again and booked a different hotel for our second night because of the dirtiness. Cannot say I’d recommend to anyone.
