Loved staying here at the Fairmont Kea Lani Maui. It was not as busy as some of the other hotels in the area. It has its own beach, driving distance to a lot of areas, restaurants, shopping, beaches, and supermarkets. The children had lots of fun. The staff were all professional, friendly, and willing to help. I even liked the koi feeding in the morning and the boat tour they offered. We saw lots of whales. The gym was good and never busy in the evening. The room was very nice, clean, and roomy. I would stay here again.

One complaint: the deck around the adult pool was SO HOT the first day we wwent that we nearly burned the bottoms of our feet getting to the pool from the lawn. YOU MUST POST SIGNS WARNING GUESTS TO USE SOME TYPE OF FOOTWEAR GOING TO THE POOL FROM LAWN SEATING.

We had reserved an ocean view room for my husband’s birthday. While we did get a room with a side view of the ocean, it was as far away from anything as possible, it was noisy, and it overlooked a parking lot and busy, noisy street. After we complained about the room, the hotel graciously moved us to a room with a very nice view and a convenient location.

The resort was beautiful. Very clean and peaceful. Our room was lovely and spacious with a wonderful view. The food options were not great, there were 3 restaurants to pick from. The food itself was subpar. One restaurant was being renovated during our stay, so the construction noise next to the adult pool was a bit loud. Pool chairs were limited and the cost of a cabana was the most expensive we’ve ever paid. Our experience overall was okay, I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. Dining and pool amenities could use some improvements in my opinion.

We stayed at the Fairmont for 5 nights with our family (three kids ages 6-13) and it was perfect. The room was spacious with a huge bathroom/tub, the staff was wonderful in all regards, the pools were great, private beach access was very easy, everything was clean, easy self-parking for our rented car. Some additional things we enjoyed were water bottles in the room (water refill stations throughout the hotel so you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg on water), complimentary shuttle to nearby hotels/restaurants (Grand Wailea, Four Seasons), and bell desk providing towels and water bottles when we went to Hana and nearby beaches. Hubby also enjoyed the Canoe Experience that comes your booking! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Property is great. Lots of room but never feels crowded even though the pool isn’t that big and it was fully booked when we stayed. The beach is very chill, no waves but r strong currents. Dining options are good, limited if you want casual options. Staff is incredibly pleasant to deal with. We brought 3 kids with us and the experience was terrific.

Our room was nice looked newly remodeled, but there weren't enough towels at first and then they forgot to leave new shampoo conditioner and body lotion ( even though I left a tip each morning) so we ran out. The one lady at check in was nice but another lady at check out was rude.

The staff was great. The rooms were good size, but average, not luxury. Paid extra for a central Ocean View room. As soon as you opened the slider to the Lanai the noise hit you. Three pools directly below. Because the hotel is currently being renovated, the pricing does not reflect a 5 star luxury hotel.

This was our second stay and it was still a beautiful property with wonderful staff in a great location. The view and direct access to the beach is nice. The pools are well maintained and not overly crowded even during peak summer times. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, and seem brand new. For families, an underrated perk is a laundry room with free washers and dryers. We’ll be back!

We had 2 rooms and overall were great rooms. We didn’t like that the balconies overlooked some construction boxes. In one of the rooms, the blinds were broken and needed fixed which was completed. Also outside that same room was a floor dryer that was very loud and annoying for half the trip.

This property is beautiful. Each room is a suite so it’s perfect for a family of 4, with lots of room. The balconies are huge with a beautiful view of the ocean and pool. The bathroom is large and modern with all the amenities you need. Each room has a small fridge and microwave, so it’s perfect to keep snacks cool. Also, there is a coffee maker, so each morning my husband and I would make coffee and sit out on the balcony. The staff is friendly and knowlegeable. Upon arrival we were upgraded to an ocean view room and that was such a treat. One mile away is the wailea tennis club where we played pickleball each morning. It is a bit pricey to rent a court but worth it. There are many dining option very nearby and even more if your willing to drive a bit. Everything about this hotel was great. We enjoyed ourselves. Tip: you must get to the pool by 7:30 and secure a spot or your out of luck til later on in the day (we stayed over Christmas so a busy time) We would love to stay at this hotel again on our next trip to Maui. They made our holiday so special.

At the pool & beach, the staff should inform the customers that if the seats are vacant for more than an hour, your belongings will be removed and the seats given to others. We were not informed of this, or saw any signage. The rule is understandable but patrons should be informed.

Our son’s Nintendo switch was stolen from this backpack that was zippered shut. He swears it was closed when we left the room. When we came back from the pool it was left open which prompted him to tell everyone to check for their things. His sunglasses lens were popped out in his backpack as well but we were able to fix those. Security said they would scan the room and they claim no one entered. This is false. We are frequent travelers and the kids always pack up their electronics (they bring them for long flights) before we leave the hotel room. Unfortunate because in all my years of traveling we have never had anything stolen. Won’t stay here again. Also, only 3 $39 entree options for breakfast, still have to add in coffee, so it forces you to do the $68 buffet. The waitress didn’t allow us to order a la carte whatever we wanted like at the Fairmont in Scottsdale. We don’t over eat and it was a waste. Celebrated our 15 year anniversary and it was never addressed at check in or ever. Was greeted with leis as you should be in Hawaii but no champagne or juice.

This was one of the most unpleasant stays during our big trip Korea-Japan-Hawaii. This hotel was the most expensive from all the booked and we were putting on it great expectations. However the property, the service, conditions of pools, outside areas, gym, hospitality level were very poor and dissapointing. There was zero Maui hospitality, from the moment we arrived we felt unwelcome and cold. I would never recommend this place to anyone who is seeking for great service and high standard of property. Don’t waste your time and money.

What I liked was the bed was comfortable & lunch was good. What I didn’t like was very slow check-in to the most undesirable room that they called an upgrade.It had a parking lot view with lots of noises . It was very crowded with conventions , and they didn’t have enough pool chairs for all the guests. My husband couldn’t take the crowds at the resort so we took extra book excursions around the island and left the resort. At the beginning of our trip we stayed at the Waliea Beach villas and had a wonderful non crowded stay. Then we went to The Timbers Kauai and also had a wonderful non crowded stay! The Kea Lani at least burst our bubble and made us want to come home!

Our stay was the first in 25 years and we weren't dissappointed. The location was perfect. The temp ran between 68-83 deg F. Everyone there was pleasant and had the Aloha spirit. The dining on premises was fantastic. The sushi resteraunt is a high recommend as was Nick's Seafood. The view from our room was awesome...we could see both Lanai and Molekini. All in all it was very relaxing, romantic and enjoyable.

Very nice property on the beach. Beach is very nice when there aren’t too many waves but it is a smaller strip of beach area. We didn’t eat at the property and decided to explore outside options (which were very good). We enjoyed being able to be at the pool/jacuzzi late into the evening.

Fairmont Kea Lani is an absolutely gorgeous property and is close to very fine dining and shops and has fabulous dining options on property as well. The rooms were top notch. The hotel was beautiful. Very accommodating. Wish they had more Choices for lunch and dinner. The Ko Restaurant was excellent. Only one restaurant open for sit down breakfast And it was a buffet at $60-70 per person. The pool is amazing.

We had a suite and it was very roomy and clean as compared to other comparable priced resorts. The food served at restaurants here, however, is mediocre. Even the food quality served in the room service menu tasted mediocre. It’s as if the quality of the ingredients was not the best. We compared it to other hotels and it’s not the island, it’s the hotel. I would improve on the freshness of food.

The staff here were incredibly wonderful. They made this feel like our home for the week. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. It was so nice to have beachfront access (without rocks) as well as pool options. Koa and the market were definitely the strongest food options, Nick's Fish Market was very over-priced and catered to more of a cruise-ship type guest. One critique - we had requested and paid for an ocean view but it turned out to be only partial.

Awesome property for sure! Dinner is limited and u less you like fish for every meal it’s a challenge. The fish is excellent but all 3 restaurants feature a similar menu. The staff was really great at all indoor and outdoor spots. Our only shocker was the price of the breakfast buffet on the last day. Wonderful food but $60 each was up there.

Overall we had a great experience! The pools, ocean view, beach, complimentary snorkel gear, and gym were great perks. The breakfast buffet was just ok and certainly not worth the price ($120 for two of us?!).

Beautiful property and customer service was top notch! We had a fantastic time! We loved having food and drinks poolside and we enjoyed going the restaurants as well BUT they are extremely expensive. There are many other restaurants and shopping nearby so we enjoyed getting out and exploring a little.

It would have been nice to have another restaurant available for lunch. The only ones open were Sushi (my family doesn't eat sushi) and the Ama (which was packed). Ko only served at the bar. It was a bit frustrating.

The Fairmont is a beautiful hotel in Maui. The rooms are very nice. The food options seem to be all right, very good restaurants. The pool bar staff is amazing! The only thing that I was a little disappointed in was room service coming super early and then them not replacing dirty towels washcloths floor mats that they took when they did come to clean so we had to ask for them several times. We also had asked for toilet paper on more than one occasion. Besides those two small complain complaints I think it’s an amazing place with beautiful views.
