Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lexington

This place was fine for the price. I was a little disappointed in the breakfast. I was looking forward to eggs and some kind of breakfast meat but it wasn't offered. Even hardboiled eggs would have been nice. The wife didn't like the bathroom. Just seemed outdated.

I tend to rate based on the bathroom cleanliness. They could definitely spend more time cleaning.

This place was great…

The room was clean but shabby, needed a refresh, especially the bathroom. The hotel was very cute, retro, and could be great with a little improvement.

The good: Bed was comfortable. Room was clean and large! Room even had a balcony! Breakfast was standard continental breakfast. The bad: My wife detected an odor in the room and the chair had a nasty stain on it. We wouldn't even sit on it. The Ugly: The hallway had a VERY bad odor and the hotel had a sign at the front desk acknowledging that there was a stinkbug issue. Either of these issues would have made me leave if I had not already paid a non-refundable rate. Fortunately, we did not see ANY stinkbugs the night we stayed. But the 4th floor hallway smelled disgusting. This place could be so nice with a little more care... and for God sake, clean up the hallway! Avoid room 409.
