Microtel Inn & Suites Leesburg

Carpet was very worn and sofa had dirty spots. Outdoor lights not working due to hurricane damage. A few minor complaints (nonworking coffee maker and lack of body wash) were immediately corrected but leaky shower was not fixed.

The front entry needs a handicap ramp going north, east and west. options for rolling suitcases and luggage cart very limited. The pillows and pillow cases were musty.

The staff is what made the stay!! They were awesome and so friendly!! I wish the pool area had some chairs.. the room was great! All around wonderful stay!

This is a great place to stay!! The pool could use updating but the front desk ladies are awesome!!! They make it such an enjoyable stay!

Outside by the pool was trashed and dirty. No chairs to actually sit in. Side door didn’t work with the key most the time.

The phone in the room was dead - unable to call the front desk. The TV service was unable to get 1 major network - but everything else. The bottom of the pool was dirty. It was overall ok for budget priced accommodations for a few days - the room was a good size, older furniture and furnishings.

The hotel texted with a pre-check in option which took only a minute or so to complete so check in upon arrival was very quick, as was check out. Both staff members were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, cool, and beds were very comfortable. The hotel is currently undergoing a re-roof (no noise issues from this at all) so the pool was closed which did not affect our stay but guests were able to use the neighboring hotel’s pool if desired which I thought was great. This is silly but as a woman with long hair, I was delighted to see full size shampoo and conditioner bottles in the shower. Overall, it was a great experience and an even better price.

Great price, good location, plenty of parking, room was clean, very quiet and felt safe all the time.

this hotel has very limited parking and it is impossible to park with a boat, trailer, or box truck there as a result. I did not utilize breakfast services due to hours of service conflicting with my schedule while in town.

The photo shown of this property and the pool area are deceiving. The pool was also closed due to re-roofing going on during our stay.

The hotel has a terrible musty smell that is hard to ignore and needs some serious updates. The door locks were not working properly and we had to go to the front desk multiple time to have them reprogram the key so we could get back in our room. I noticed other guests having the same issue. The staff however was very nice and polite and the beds were comfortable. I gave 4 stars for cleanliness because I believe our rooms were clean, they just seemed extremely dingy because of the smell and the age of the carpet and flooring.

Bed bugs were crawling in our bed, unfortunately. Complained to front desk and was moved as far away from that room as possible. Have no idea if they treated the rooms since our stay.

Bathroom was stained and dingy. Could tell they painted the walls in the room and just painted over dirt and mold. On the plus side, the staff was very nice and pleasant. Unfortunately, I will not stay in another Microtel.

This place is ancient. Really... an old mini microwave on top of an old mini fridge?. Windows were filthy.. could hardly see out. Room had a musty smell and the kicker was that as soon as we checked in and wanted to use the toilet, it was clogged. Went to front Desk and told the guy. His solution was to hand my husband a plunger and told him to take care of it himself!!!! OMG. Really??? Could have offered us another room, but he was busy doing nothing and could have cared less about our dilemma. Carpet.. we were afraid to take our shoes off. Who knows what may have ever gotten on that ancient carpet. Also, one of the shower liquids... it's glued- on sticker holding it in the wall had come off. We felt like we were staying in what a .welfare motel was like! TG it was one night only in this dump. We thought Wyndham meant OK when picking a hotel, but this was a joke and an embarrassment. Next time it will be back to Town Suites in Leesburg.. clean and modern.

There was blood all over our sheets, pillow case, the sheets had obviously not been changed! Old toe nails on the night stand. The room was dirty! This was terrible! And when I asked for new sheets no one would help me. The blood was terrible all over the sheets and management didn’t help much with that or seem care. Please do not go here it’s an waste of money, time, and unsafe!

Very clean great smelling room comfortable bed. Everything you need for a night out on the road traveling. Staff was excellent, very accommodating and exceeded expectations

The hallways and rooms are outdated. Amenities are old. Carpet needs replaced throughout. Has a musty/old smell to it. Bed not very comfortable but not horrible. If you’re just needing a place to crash and aren’t spending much time here, then worth it for what we paid. ($125) Not sure how it’s rated 8/10 though. I’d go with a 6/10.

The facility was generally clean Bed was comfortable. Water pressure was okay although temperature fluctuated a bit. Towels were soft. Walls are very thin. Could hear people talking in the next room

Good location, quite and 2 minute walk to Longhorn Steak House and 1 minute to Ruby Tuesday. Bed was comfortable and no issues

Learned that Microtel meant small. It was nice but definitely small.

Overall good stay- struggled with key cards working properly even after replacement. Honestly needs more sound insulation- not sure what the deal was but EVERY Step taken by the guests in the room over ours was heard and felt . I was 2nd floor

Room was clean, but cramped because of the small size. Breakfast was adequate, but no napkins were available.

Room on second floor, room above us was loud from simply walking across floor. No flooring noise insulation!

The walls, windows, ceiling are thinly insulated. I heard someone snoring, people above me were loud, the windows were single paned. My room was very clean. Breakfast was disappointing, the eggs were cold, not much of a selection. Staff was delightful. Bed was super comfortable.

The Hotel was good, but the problem I had was guest above on the 3rd flooring loud all night. I got no sleep. The staff just apologized & wasn't going to talk to the guest, until I pressed. The noise didn';t stop, so I don't know if he ever spoke with the noisy guest. The front desk made no offer to rectifiy, I had to asked about another room option, but was told he could move me room ove over from where I was. So I had to get a couple of hours of sleep when the noisy finally went to sleep at 6 in the morning. It was the guest fault, but I feel the Hotel front desk & management could have offered a free night stay at another time at one of their hotels or something. I just got I'm sorry.

The receptionist on March 19th 2025 at around 8:30 PM was an incredibly rude young woman. Her condescending and disinterested attitude reflect poorly on this hotels leadership. As the only point of contact I had with the hotel, the importance of a good impression was completely missed. I'm surprised this hotel had as good of a rating as it did with such a rude and unprofessional person at the front desk.

The evening manager refused to let me and my son in our room. We had already been here 3 days. I was ill and could barely hold my body up but she treated me and my son like vagrants and was extremely rude. She cussed me out with extremely foul language then told me and my son we had to leave. I will never stay at a Microtel or Wyndham again after the treatment we received. We were put out at 11 pm 1100 miles from home. Despicable

Check-in was seamless, and the staff were friendly and appeared to enjoy their work. The hotel was clean and quiet. The breakfast was served hot, and the price was excellent. If you’re looking for a small, affordable hotel that is clean and comfortable, then this is it.

All of the staff at this hotel were so accommodating and friendly it just made you feel like you were at home. Andrew the night clerk was available whenever needed answered all of our questions very friendly.

I wouldn't know i arrived there and they sold my room and told me they were sold out. But charged my card for 2 days took my money and now i have to wait for days to get it back. Drove all them miles just not to have nowhere to stay.

The front desk staff was professional and courteous from the time I checked in thru checked out. I will stay at this property again.

My wife and I misunderstood the breakfast cut off time. We came down around 10:15. There was an employee at the breakfast counter with a plate of biscuits in front of her. My wife asked her, where are the biscuits? She said breakfast is closed and walked out with her plate. My wife was upset because there was nothing to eat and she needed to take medicine. She and I were the only people in the room. She said loud enough for the employees at the front desk to hear, how ridiculous it was that an employee can get her food after the end time , but a guest can’t. One of the women angrily yelled to her the hotel’s policy with regard to minor employees right to eat. Why wouldn’t she have either asked my wife to come to the desk or better yet, come over to my wife? and even better, perhaps offered to make an exception. My wife ended up apologizing to the girl with the biscuits, but no one apologized to my wife. We had to go out for breakfast. The next morning we came down around 9:00. There were no boiled eggs in the little fridge. I asked the desk if there were any more eggs. One of the women said I don’t think so and made no effort to find out. I’m pretty sure it was the same one that was so rude the day before. All the female employees at the front seem to hate being there. The two men were much nicer. The house keeping staff was very polite when we passed them in the hallway. The bath tub was dirt. Everything else was fine. We stayed there last year as well. Not again.

Desk people were great. Welcomed us back. They treated us like family.

Centrally located in Leesburg to serve as base for touring the area. Was economical, and staff very friendly and professional.

Great friendly staff up front. Hallways and elevator smelled like marijuana. Parking lot was sketchy and wasn’t well lit. Overall, I’d stay again individually, but wouldn’t recommend as a family stay.

The breakfast was terrible. stale bagels, pancake machine didnt work right and nothing else to offer but cereal. they had no available rooms for a second night so i booked next door hotel which had a much nicer breakfast. the place was ok, beds comfortable and rooms cleaned nice.

The room was average. But the staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast area was nice and clean and had a good selection. The girls definitely took pride in maintaining that area. There was also a nice little "store" area to purchase things after hours which was nice if you didn't want to go out

Very clean. Very friendly staff. Nice environment. A lot of restaurants around the area. Nice area in the surroundings. It is about 15 min drive from Mount Dora, city with a lot of amenities. The breakfast is regular, they do not offer proteins. If you want to eat proteins you can bring your own egg or ham. There is a cracker Barrel walking distance if you prefer.

Convenient location and a good price point. Breakfast could be a little better, the coffee was horrible.
