Hotel Victor South Beach

The hotel is comfy, well located. Rooms are a little small and internet is terrible. Staff is nice. Gym is okay. Overall, I think the hotel is overpriced. I believe because of the location.

The location on Ocean Road is perfect, right across from the beach and walking distance to many of the Art Deco buildings. Excellent service with free bikes and beach chairs, fruit and water by the pool, friendly staff

Convenient access to the beach and boardwalk. Lots of dinning options nearby. Clean and updated rooms. Resort fee is well worth usage of the bikes and beach/pool towels. I would stay there again.

If you are looking to be in the middle of it all, this is the hotel for you. The hotel is clean, inviting, modern rooms, centrally located, and a five minute walk from lobby to beach. The pool is located on the 2nd floor. There are just enough pool chairs and lounges and iced water and complimentary fruit is offered throughout the day. The front desk offers beach chairs and towels. We didn't try the restaurants because there were so many around from which to choose, but every time we came in or out, the hotel restaurants were always packed. Although in the heart of all that is going on, there wasn't much disturbance at night so sleeping wasn't an issue. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a fun and relaxing getaway in South Beach. Oh, and no car necessary. We will be back.

Celebrated NewsYears at the Hotel Victor. The hotel is a little run down , but the service was exceptional. The spa overall is small , steam room was in poor shape and the hamam was tiny room and didn’t work very well. Overall was good experience but extremely expensive.

My only issue was that the pool closed at 7pm and we had to have the bicycles back by 5:30pm. I found those times a little early for South Beach. Otherwise, the staff were amazing and extremely helpful.

Pleasant stay over spring break w teenaged daughter. Very walkable lots of action and good people watching. Next door to Versace mansion and ambiance was very art deco cool lived the decor. Loud street noise was expected but surprisingly quiet in room. Obnoxious neighbors one night turned pool area into their private party area up all night no security felt a little unsafe but they left nest morning thankfully. Stayed in poolside king w direct access to pool which was awesome. Hotel restaurants were great for people watching. Good breakfast/lunch at Cafe Americana. Pool lacked service and no drinks or food available for purchase but could be brought/ordered in from outside. They did have ice water apples and oranges out every day which was nice. No convenience items or gift shop on site but CVS/Walgreens, stores a short walk. Room cleanliness was lacking floors felt dirty/dusty, bathtub and shower didn’t feel or smell clean soap scum left behind on bathtub floor. Housekeeping did the bare minimum. Bathroom sink splashed water everywhere with every use. Extra towels would’ve been helpful requested but not provided. Overall pleasant stay. Not luxury if that’s what you expect but decent and great location.

The amenities were a little outdated. Bikes/beach chairs. No music by the pool. Or a pool bar. Drinks were limited to what they had. Also if booking through Expedia make sure you realize the type of room you are getting. We were super bummed there was no balcony and the pictures made it look a lot different. Staff was outstanding. Very attentive and friendly.

Clean, friendly staff

I was deceived by the pictures online, as to what was the actual reality. The rooms are in need of a deep cleaning. I found numerous places throughout my room that had not been cleaned in sometime. Also, the amount of hair found everywhere inside the room is disgusting. The housekeepers need on the job training to ensure they have the tools to perform their job effectively, and to help create a home like environment for travelers. Speaking of the housekeeping team, whenever they go in and out of a room, the door slams loudly and can be heard clearly. This goes on the entire time they are on your floor. They must have a latch or deadbolt on, and it keeps slamming against the door. In addition, there seemed to be two housekeepers on my floor when cleaning, and they talk the entire time. Keep in mind, housekeeping is from 9:30-4:00, if I'm not mistaken. The gym is old and run down. They sell the pictures very well online. One corner of the gym has a bunch of nuts and bolts stored there. Why, I don't know. One of the tv's is frozen. There were no towels for use when i went. It appears both Maintenance and housekeeping haven't been to the gym to give it a once over in a while. The bell people seemed to be staring at you more than helping you, which left a bad impression. I would expect a bell person to be polite, cheerful and willing to help guests. Also, a simple 'Hello' goes a long way. I would not stay here again. 3/10 at best.

The location cannot be, and the front desk personnel are quite friendly and attentive. However, the rooms are pretty much of mediocre quality at best, and cleanliness and housekeeping not effective. Do not think the toilet was cleaned in the 4 days I was there based on the ring around it when I left; windows, glass doors and sometimes sink not clean (depending on the day for the sink). Based on stays in other hotels in the area, there are better quality places to stay for the same amount (this was not inexpensive!) or less.

We were disappointed that the room was not properly cleaned during our stay. The bathroom was not fully stocked, and the floors were not vacuumed as expected. Every day the housekeeping staff missed some basic tasks, like changing the linens and replenishing toiletries, towels, wash cloths, shower mat and even emptying the trash can. It was frustrating to have to ask for items repeatedly. The room’s coffee cups and wine glasses provided were obviously never cleaned properly. Then we watched House keeping simply rinsed them off in the bathroom sink and put them back for us to reuse. I would expect more sanitizing clean like a rotation of clean cups and glasses through a dishwasher. On the positive side: The front desk staff, specifically Laura was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making our check-in process smooth and stress-free. She truly went above and beyond! We also really appreciate how attentive and professional Jeffrey was during our stay. He was always ready to assist with a smile. We were impressed by both Laura and Jeffrey's efficiency and professionalism. They handled everything quickly and with a positive attitude, which made our experience better! Their friendly demeanor and great customer service made all the difference.

Cleanliness of bathrooms and floors left some to be desired.

Great front desk staff, nice property. Only issue I asked for my room to be cleaned and swept because we went to the beach and had sand on us. They cleaned the room but the floor was not swept still had sand on it. Ask for it to be swept again and still wasn’t done, Smdh.

The staff was incredibly pleasant, but the hotel room was very dark. We were placed in the wheelchair-accessible room, but we didn’t realize that once we had scheduled our stay and requested a different room, they were unable to accommodate us. Additionally, we saw a roach in our room, and the beds were too soft for our liking.

Beach access/view, the entertainment was great staff very welcoming. Now, I'm a clean/neat freak. I even bring my own towels/bedding/etc..this is pre covid. I didnt expect a 400 plus dollars a night hotel to have a filthy rug underneath the bed and hair that was not mine in the bathroom/tub/and even in the coffee mugs.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here! We used the bikes one day during the week and that was easy and fun. They don’t reserve them though so it’s first come first serve. The room was a bit smaller but it worked for us. We did wish there were more hooks in our room to hang towels and things because there weren’t any of those in our room. My sisters room did have those though. There were a few things about the bathrooms we found odd but it didn’t ruin our stay. The toilet is behind another door in the bathroom but there is a circular window on it so whoever is in the bathroom can see in. When you shower, you have to step high to get into it since it’s inside the bathtub. It gets a bit slippery getting in and out because of it being so high. There is also only glass on the part of the tub where the rainfall shower head is located so I got a bit cold when I was shampooing. The water also splashed out onto the floor so definitely had to make sure we had a towel down.

Great room with view of beach. Hotel right on Ocean Drive. Rooms very large with great bathrooms including a deep bathtub. Giovanni's and Cafe Americana next store are great restaurants.

The jacuzzi was also the tub to wash in which had a super high perimeter

The hotel was in a great location and walking distance to the beach and amazing food and drinks. The rooms are beautiful my only complaint was the shower was a little confusing to use and did not have great pressure.

Really liked the art deco building. In great position. Did not like the bathroom as only had shower over very deep bath. Very slippery and dangerous if you are older people.

Loved that this property has the option to book two beds and a balcony, with great views!

Everything was really based around front desk help - they were incredible- Jeff is the man for any and everything with a smile - Laura on evening shift was great - loved her each and every evening- door guys as u enter were fantastic- hotel is beautiful- pool area wonderful and pool guy was great also we never wanted for anything- I will return here over and over because of service- you can always have a beautiful hotel but if u don’t have great service it’s a deal breaker for me and these guys deserve a bonus -10 out of 10 for my birthday trip

When we got there they didn’t have our reservation so it took us 45 minutes to check in. The the room was very small so we upgraded our room. This room had a leak so we had to move at 11:00pm. We got to the new room and did t have towels. After waiting 45 minutes I had to go get them. Then the next day when they cleaned our room nothing was restocked none of the trash was taken out and still no towels.

You can hear noise from the hallway. Reception or house keeping never answered the phone. Good location

Arrived at 11am. Was promised to have a room in a few hours. Then told it would be 4pm. Only to get into my room at 5pm. Can’t trust anything the front office staff say. And they don’t apologize.

Hotel Victor is a terrific hotel in the heart of South Beach. The hotel staff were all fantastic - particularly the hotel GM (Avi) and Jeff on the front desk. I was traveling from Australia and they helped me identify where to go, and what to do and organised access to venues I wouldn't have been able to attend otherwise. The hotel itself is fantastic, clean, modern and organised. Great price point too. I'd definitely stay here again - thank you.

They charges the deposit, when they say that it will be released when we checked out. Contacted them 3 times with no reply at all. I want the money back!

Unfortunately our room was downgraded without any notice. Found out upon check in they charged me the same amount for an inferior room And no one at front desk could help us. They are supposed to email me regarding this situation. Booked and paid for the penthouse. Didn’t get the penthouse.very disappointing. Nice view but not what I booked.it was a Father’s Day surprise that went incredibly wrong.

Everyone at that hotel were friendly and helpful. The front desk (Jeff) was great. Did not expect a hotel across the street from the Beach to be so clean and really not expensive. Will definitely go back in cooler temps.

This property is perfectly placed on Ocean Dr close to everything south beach has to offer. The staff is super friendly and the food is great. Great views from the Pool Deck of the Ocean!!

I stayed in King Pool Access room and the design of the room is better than the pictures on the website. Location of the property is off Ocean Drive & convenient for shopping, rooftop parties, etc.

First and foremost the service is excellent. We upgraded to a pool suite and was very glad we did. The beds around the pool are great and the beds in the room cozy also. It was close to lots of food options, but honestly the attached restaurants are great and convenient! I would definitely book it again!

Overall the staff was nice but most in the restaurant seemed content to slow and not very clean. I sat waiting for a long time for a small order and saw a waiter take a fry from a customer’s order before delivering it. In the 3 times I was there I never saw anyone wipe the bar even after people came and left.

I love the restaurant inside of the hotel. I love the shopping and night life around the hotel. The staff was excellent. I will stay here again when looking for a nice boutique style hotel.

Loved hotel victor, great location, great staff, great food and drinks

Hotel stay was fresh and clean from the minute you walk in. We had our room upgraded and had the most amazing view of the pool and beach! We were across the street from the entry way to the beach, plenty of food and activities to do within walking distance. We only used an Uber twice to go a little further into the city. The room was really bright in the morning, so if you're sensitive to light you might want to bring a sleep mask. Other then that it was a Beautiful perfect romantic hotel. We had an amazing stay!

The Hotel’s location is perfect for all South Beach activities. The onsite restaurants are top tier with excellent food and service. The room has a minibar and ours had a balcony overlooking the beautiful pool. The front desk personnel were extremely professional and helpful, especially Jeffrey & Dumese!

Pros: The service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and extremely accommodating. The location is great, across the street from the beach and in the middle of all the action on Ocean Drive. Cons: I was very disappointed with our room. I reserved what was supposed to be a suite. I payed almost $800/ night for what was just a somewhat large hotel room. There was nothing about the room that could be described as a suite. While the room may have been 650-700 sq. ft a good deal of that footage was taken up by a ridiculously large bathroom. As big as the bathroom was it was poorly designed. The sink area was small with little room to put your toiletries and no place to hang up bath towels. The room had no sitting area, in fact the only chair in the room was a desk chair. The room was nice as hotel rooms go but was not worth anything close to $800/ night. It should never have been described as a suite.
