Very basic hotel in need of some upgrades. the elevator was pretty old and dirty. the area around the hotel look kind of shady, with cops watching the dealership nearby. the room was not very clean - one pillow had a weird waxy stain on it that was visible through the pillow case - the lady at the front desk did not seem alarmed when informed (almost like it was not an uncommon complaint. staff was polite and answered questions, but mostly doing the bare minimum. breakfast was basic. ok hotel to stay for a night while passing by, but nothing more.

The hotel was quiet and well maintained. There is no hot tub. It was covered by a wooden platform. The pool is available though. Breakfast was nice. They had good coffee.

Hotel is very run down. No working lights in pool area & when sun goes down have to leave as cannot see kids in pool. Hot tub not working and covered up. Emergency door to exit outaide pool are locked. Gnats in hotel room. Most security doors or side entrances do not work & anyone can enter. Outside of hotel needs cleaned up. At least front desk and cleaning staff very friendly.

The wall unit was on AC full blast when we walked in. I tried to adjust it to low heat, but a burning smell came from the unit. I could not get it to turn off or go to fan. It blew both cold and hot air at the same time. We were on the third floor, I cracked the window for the burning smell and discovered there was no screen in my windows. The elevator is very old and the lighting gave an eerie feeling. Aside from that, the hotel was nice. I felt a little unsafe after leaving the lobby at 9:00 pm with my daughter, and just made sure to be aware of our surroundings.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. We like to stay here because of its location. The price is usually reasonable too. One downside is their fitness center needs some attention. Machines were broken and no free weights.

Bed is very comfortable and the walk-in shower is amazing. The room and lobby were very clean and presentable. The only complaint is that the indoor pool is not heated and the water temperature is too cold to be usable.

We got a sofa sleeper. When we pulled it out there was mouse droppings and urine stains all over the sheets. We have stayed in this newer hotel many times over the past couple of years and used to love it, it’s gone down hill fast.

Our Family stayed here when it first open and it was great, now it is in need of some refreshing and fixing. There were dirty spots on the towels, windows had mold around them, the latch lock was hanging on by one screw, there was a live roach on the bathroom counter. Breakfast wasn’t bad, typical breakfast, they did have biscuits and gravy! The room didn’t have a bedding for the pullout but staff was nice and gave us what was needed.

When I pulled the sheets back to put my son to bed, there was a fake eyelash and clothing tag made into the sheets. The shampoo and lotion in the bathroom had been used. The phone did not work to call the front desk it had no dialtone and could not call out at all When I went downstairs and asked to get new sheets, she said she would take $10 off my room for the inconvenience, but nothing was taken off of my bill. She stated that none of the phones hardly work as well. The next morning, when I took a shower, there was a big hole in the shower curtain as well. Room 330.

In the past this was the hotel of choice when we drove through North Liberty, over the years the hotel has become run down and old. They don't keep up the property, the rooms are dirty and of course the hot tub closed.

Clean probably around a 20 year old property? Friendly staff. Free self parking. Convenient off of the interstate. Close to Iowa City. The interstate noise was a little bit noticeable at night, but okay. Mattresses could be replaced. Shower was nice and had good water pressure. My son swam in the pool and said the water was warm. Breakfast was okay. Cereal, muffins, toast, yougert, fruit, juices, coffee, biscuits and sausage gravy. I had to add some salt and pepper, eggs. Nice and quiet. Close to gas stations and restaurants.

When we entered the room we were met with a blast of damp mustiness. Carpet felt damp, A/C was blowing cool but musty air. Asked if we could change room because of allergies. Clerk asked, "Did you try opening the window?" to get rid of the smell. The 2nd room smelled much more damp, so we immediately went back to the 1st room. We eventually did open the window and left it open all night, but there was no window screen (see pic.) We are thankful there were no insects outside today. Shower was nice and new with good water pressure, but there was no drain plug... looked damaged. Toilet was loose, and it ran on and off all night because it was unbalanced. Corners of bathroom had built-up gunk that desperately needed to be cleaned (see pics.) Beds were comfortable. Refrigerator ran well. Breakfast was good. If we could've slept in the lobby, it would've been a nice stay because the lobby was updated and clean and not damp-smelling. We won't be staying there again. Maybe we just ended up with 2 unfortunate room assignments, but we don't want to take that chance again.

Easy access off of I380. Quick and easy check in. Room was spacious and clean; bed was comfortable. The breakfast area was decent size with above average selections. Stayed one night after an Iowa football game and would stay again.

We had a television set that did not work. We called the front desk and was told if we unplugged it, then plugged it back in, it should reset and work properly. It did not work any of the three times we unplugged the power cord, then plugged it in again. We had a function away from the hotel and on our way out, reported to the front desk employee that we still did not have a working television in our room. We were told someone would go to our room and take a look. We returned more than six hours later, but still no working TV. At about 9 a.m. the next morning there was a knock on our door from someone wanting to look at the television set. We were minutes away from checking out, so that wasn't convenient for us, and by that time, we didn't really care if it got fixed. We weren't offered a discount or a different room.

We happened to be there on an evening when your key making machine was down and we couldn’t get a key for our room. The management had to go to all the rooms to open them for guests. We didn’t leave our room so that we didn’t have to deal with getting the manager to open the door. Location was pleasantly quiet.

Upon check in, we were paying for our rooms separately. They ran my sister’s card and gave us our room keys. We got up to our rooms, and the keys didn’t work. We go back down to the front desk and they issue us new keys, and tell my sister that her card didn’t go through so they ran it a second time. Go back to our rooms, my keys work- hers don’t. She then had to go back to the front desk 5-6 times to get keys that work. And then she checks her cc statement and she was charged twice for the room. I also checked mine and was also charged twice. Refunds will take “3-5 days” I don’t know if the front desk person was trying to pull something funny, but it seems fishy. One room it was difficult to get the air to work. Outdated wall heating/cooling until.

Check-in was terrible. They kept giving us a room that was already occupied. The girl at the front didn't know it so she was also confused. We got in late after a 3 hour drive to pickup our son from UofI and we were exhausted. So spending 30 minutes walking into occupied rooms was dangerous and annoying. Once we finally got a room the rest was fine.

We waited almost 45 minutes to check in because the front desk worker fell asleep on the job and then when she finally woke up from the beck room, she came out and acted like we were inconveniencing her. The next morning at about 8:30 when we were still sleeping because check out isn't until 11:00, the cleaning people came in and when they realized we were there, there was no apology and the cleaning people just turned around and walked away.

Staff was great - friendly and responsive. Only complaint was that our room wasn't refreshed (beds made, clean towels) when we returned to the room the first day, late in the evening. I called the front desk and the clerk immediately apologized and brought up fresh towels and coffee packets for our last night. All with a smile.

Just what we needed. Clean, reasonably priced, convenient to highway and our son in North Liberty. Would definitely stay again. The coffee machine out of order at early breakfast was the only downside. Fixed later in morning.

Nice lower-price hotel. People were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The pool needs some TLC but we did spend a little while there. It met our needs for the weekend. Go Hawks!
