Glen Mhor Hotel at Uile-bheist 'Brewstillery'

My wife and I had the best experience staying here on our Honeymoon. We upgraded to a river view room which was very worth it in our opinion. The room was huge, the view was gorgeous, the restaurant was delicious, and staff was great... If you're into whiskey the Distillery / Brewery tour was awesome and Frazer, the bar manager and tour guide was amazing. Cant recommend this place enough

Perfect location. Parking at the hotel, £12 per day. Staff were friendly. Hotel was nice and clean. Rooms were nice. Would stay here again.

This is a well maintained property. The rooms and clean and close to everything. Just keep in mind that they do not have lifts nor air conditioning. Loved the area.

Rooms are spread through multiple buildings along the block, so each is probably different. Had an unusual room with 3 levels. Restaurant was good as well as Brewery. Make reservations for dinner. Breakfast buffet started at 7 and was fairly good. Was able to park on street in front for I think £4 by paying meter. And I think their lot in back would have been £12. Walkable to town for other dining options and some attractions. Close to castle, but still closed for renovation.

A warm welcome but disappointed to learn on arrival that the bar doesn’t serve food in Winter and the restaurant was full. Charging for parking is a cheek - £12 a night for a pot holey, gravelly insufficient puddle. Breakfast was ok but they had ran out of hot water for tea and other things were running low at peak time on a Sunday morning. That said I think ending breakfast at 10 on a Sunday is a joke. Room was pleasant but didn’t lock so I had to be moved. Great location but

This is a lovely riverside hotel. The brewery and distillery attached are awesome! It is a bunch of town house style buildings, the only catch is, there is no elevator.

Size of room was not proportionate to cost of this room. Was unable to stand upright around the corner of the bed. Bathroom was dusty and grubby in places. Windows rattled throughout the night

Room was dirty, shower was moldy, room was extremely small, room was hot and being an eldery couple the stairs were difficult to maneuver with luggage. Do not recommend to elderly. Music was loud from the distillery.

We had a huge lovely room with a river view. Everything was clean and well maintained. Really enjoyed our stay!

Booked here as was taking part in Loch Ness marathon. The location was perfect and that's about it. Upon checking in I was charged the total cost of the stay again despite being confirmed I'd payed. The room was ok however there were patches of mould on the ceiling and in the shower and our room wasn't serviced. The hotel seems nice enough, but overpriced compared to others I've stayed in in Inverness. Nice bar, basic mouldy room.

Our room was immaculately clean. Beautifully decorated. Bed was very comfortable. Great breakfast and dinner. Staff friendly and helpful. A lovely view to the river and only a short walk into town.

Staff were very good and helpful in all areas, reception, bar and restaurant. However the room smells badly of damp. It is a top floor room and I suspect a roof issue or leaking shower. Also, most definitely didn’t appreciate the stealth change of £12 to park my car for the night!

The location of the property was great. We had a ground floor room which had both perks and drawbacks. While our room had a river view, there were no sheer curtains that we could draw in order to have some privacy, meaning anyone walking on the sidewalk right outside our window could look right into our room. It would have been nice to have some natural light. Our King room was spacious enough for a one night stay but probably not ideal for more than that. There was no refrigerator or ice machine that we could tell, which would have been nice. Speaking of the King bed, it was in fact just 2 twin beds pushed together with a thin pad on top. We could feel the bed seams while sleeping and it was very uncomfortable. The rooms were clean and modestly decorated, and the bathroom was spacious and had a large mirror and was brightly lit, but almost had a sterile feel; very white and bright like a hospital…. Kind of eery feeling. We were most disappointed with the restaurant on premises, the Waterfront. We were so looking forward to having dinner here for our anniversary but wasn’t aware that the night we made reservations (it was a Sunday) that the restaurant did not serve its normal menu and only did roasts. We were forced to partake in the 2 or 3 course prix-fixe menu and the options were not to our liking at all. The starters were bland and we don’t really eat meet. Sad to see a highland restaurant follow such an English meal option.

We loved the hotel and the dining area and pub. After a long drive we were just very underwhelmed with our room. Really small and a double bed not a queen. The bed was really uncomfortable and there was no fan or air con in the room.

We were in a large family room set-up in the attic. The rooms were nice size but the layout was very strange. It was comfortable enough though.

There is no sound proofing at all. Guy next doir on phone all night may as well have been in my room

Double bed was two singles pushed together, toilet seat broken and TV had no signal. Not much sound insulation as the room above was 'active'! Did inform reception the next day.

The hotel location is excellent - it is along the river and just far enough from the main area to be quiet in the evenings. It was about equal distance from the river restaurants and the Ness Islands which made for very nice walks. We got upgraded to the two room suite which was fantastic and the staff was very helpful. The rooms are a bit dated with no mini-fridge which was only an issue given the height of tourist season pricing. Breakfast; however, was terrible - we ended up doing breakfast elsewhere after the first day despite it being included in our room price.

Breakfast very low quality. Very thin walls. Drain in the shower blocked. Overworked staff. Overall it feels like the love and passion is missing.

Absolutely fantastic. All check in systems had been affected on arrival, free drinks for inconvenience caused and updated frequently. Staff great and very apologetic. Room fabulous, clean with a great view over the River Ness. Definitely stay again!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Glen Mhor Hotel. It was very roomy and had a king bed. The bathtub was very high off the ground so climbing in and out for a shower was a little awkward. It was very convenient to walking all over town. Also we had a beautiful view of River Ness which had a lovely walkway on either side with easy access to bridges across the river. The WIFI was not very good however.

The location is amazing. The room was okay. Clean and comfortable. The staff was not the best. The staff at check-in seemed to not care we were there and generally looked bored to be there. The worst part was waking up to no hot water. So taking a shower was not very pleasant. When I brought it up to the staff, they just shrugged and said well there is hot water now. Yep, now that I’m packed up and checking out.

Our stay was good, the rooms were clean but older, the property was nice but some furniture definitely could be updated at this point and the staff were nice. Once arriving to the property, we parked our vehicle alongside the river. We went inside picked up our keys as we had two rooms. The staff member was helpful and told us how to get to them, told us we could pay for street parking because it was less expensive for the one night stay (all very good). Because we were travelling from Canada and through a lot of different places, we had pre booked a lot of things. One being a tour of the hotels brewery and distillery. The day prior to arriving the hotel sent us a discount coupon to book a tour, so we asked the receptionist about applying the coupon to our existing booking. She gave us kind of a hard time saying we should’ve done it prior to booking, but eventually refunded us the difference. Overall the place was nice! The hotel, apartments, distillery/brewery, and waterside restaurant are all connected.

This hotel has the potential to be great. It's a lovely building in a great location with a brewery attached. However, the bed in our room was terrible. The mattress was lumpy, the divan made such a loud noise every time I moved that it woke us up and the sheets don't fit so they end up in a tangled mess. We complained after the first night and they said they would send someone to fix it. I requested a room change if that couldn't be done. I checked that afternoon whether the bed had been fixed and was told yes. We went to bed that night and nothing had changed. There are no phones in the rooms and our room was in a separate building so we would have had to get dressed to go to reception again. We complained again the next day and asked to speak to the manager, who wasn't available. The receptionist said that she'd pass the message on. We stayed 4 nights (prepaid!) and each day we complained. When we finally spoke to the manager on check out he wasn't aware of any prior complaints but seemed to be aware of the lumpy mattresses and noisy divans! We were basically told that it was on us to ensure that we followed up on complaints as the staff have no way of checking in with guests! I didn't go away for the weekend to do their job for them. When we previously stayed in this hotel it was lovely which was why we returned. I've never been so happy to get home to a good night's sleep in my life!

Stayed here with my 3yr old the staff went above & beyond rooms cleaned beds made everyday whilst we went on our adventures so was nice to come back to a tidy clean room as we arrived to the hotel we were upgraded the family room which was quite big! Like a small apartment was so nice breakfast was great too! Deffentily reccomend if you're visiting inverness 😊

The young man that ran concierge services was very nice. Girls at the reception seemed indifferent and were not very knowledgeable. - Room wasn't ready until 4:00 pm - Expensive - Breakfast was mediocre at best

Excellent location a little out of the hub bub of the downtown streets so much quieter and great views of the river!

The location is quite excellent. It’s easy walking along the Ness River Walk; Ness Islands and of course, town center Shoe shopping!!! If you have never shopped for shoes in Scotland, I highly recommend you do so:)

Beautiful location on the River Ness. Easy walking distance to main streets and many historic sites in Inverness. Buildings are well maintained and quaint, like guest houses rather than a typical hotel. Adjoining restaurant is excellent.

Hotel was a great find, the room was lovely and spacious, breakfast was delicious and staff were all very friendly and helpful. I had dinner one night and whilst the lamb wasn't exactly how I like it, the others in my party loved their food. I would stay again.

It was great to stay in a hotel with a first class restaurant, brewery and distillery all in one property. The combination made for a very unique stay. The rooms were a nice size, very clean and the windows opened for added comfort. The service was exceptional. The room ammenities were nice and make the visit special. It was very safe and free parking was a bonus. Overall, it's a great place to stay and my go-to place for future visits.

Our room was lovely and clean. Would have been nice to have some bottled water as we forgot to take some with us. The breakfast was disappointing as not much left when we arrived. No fresh coffee, bread, continental items. The only hot food left was bacon, small amount of scrambled eggs, tomatoes and small amount of beans. We waited for over 10 minutes, some food did arrive but not everything that was meant to be there. The poor young waitress done her very best and took alot from disgruntled customers.

A great place, did not get to do the distillery tour but the bar had an amazing selection of Whiskey and was able to do my own tasting. The staff was amazing l, the restaurant was spot on

Great stay! Easy to find - easy to park - beautiful facilities, great dinner at restaurant! Only negative was that breakfast in the morning was a bit chaotic due to a large tour group.

Location is great. Hotel room had very comfortable beds. The bathroom was huge with shower and tub, but looked out of space and empty. No railings or hooks for towels. No safe in the rooms either. We had a tour with the distillery with Richard who was fantastic. Breakfast seemed very disorganized and not a lot of options. Coffee also not as good.
