Nice location that offers free parking. Large parking area which was nice during the busy August season. I liked that they offered a whiskey drink on arrival! We liked the privacy of being in another wing, however I was thinking we had a private garden view on the ground level. Room was on the second floor with view of the golf course and roadway, but weather was cold so we could not be outside sitting on chairs anyway. Not quite what was pictured on Expedia site. We were pleased with the generous breakfast buffet. I liked the coffee and tea service in the room with daily cookies replenished. The Kingsmill extension is not connected to the hotel and is located across the parking area so you need to walk over to the main building to use the pool/spa. I liked that I could use the steam room after a long day. Spa and pool were nice too. They have a funny policy of charging for pool/spa towels and so to avoid extra cost you need to bring your towel from the room. Seems unnecessary to charge $1 for towel. We would stay again, but next time I think I would like to be in the main building with easy access to the pool area.

We have retired for one night in a family luxury room, 317 with bunk beds. Room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Pool was lovely, I would say would need a refurb in tiles soon, but was still very enjoyable! Other facilities were fantastic - bar, sauna, spa and steam room. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic so much choice and catered very well for our dietary needs as a gluten free and dairy free person! My little ones were given stickers on arrival at breakfast which was so thoughtful and kind they loved them!

Overall the stay was good, the restaurant was Adequate. The pool and hot tub were closed by 9:00 and we had to be in there by 8:15. The reason I choose this facility was for the pool and hot tub.

Lovely hotel with great facilities. Room was big and comfortable. Food was excellent. Pool was warm and fun for my young daughter - not really a pool for doing laps though. Lovely setting and grounds. Decor was a little dated and tired in places but has character.

We stayed in a garden room which was peaceful. Staff was attentive to our every need and very friendly. Whiskey Bar offered a nice place to relax before dinner out. Breakfast in the morning provided a good start to the day. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Great hotel with great amenities but the bed was the worst ive ever slept on. It was soo hard that i had to use a pillow to sleep on. In the morning I had a very sore back. Facilities in the hotel were great. Amazing swimming pool and gym. Bar was good and restaurant served good food. A more varied pub menu would be a good addition.

Great couple of nights in family room- plenty room for the 4 of us. Staff very friendly and clean room and general areas of hotel. Pool area and changing area in desperate need of upgrade but pool was nice and warm. Food was good and plenty options for breakfast. Quick few minutes walk to pubs and shops. Would stay again.

The hotel is a fantastic place to stop when working in Inverness. My two very slight criticisms are that the climate control in the rooms is super bright and being light sensitive, i found it disrupted my sleep. For the size of the hotel and the dact they have an on site Spa, the gym could be a bit better equipped. Other than that, the hotel, food and drink were excellent.
The hotel is a fantastic place to stop when working in Inverness. We stayed in the garden view rooms. The bathroom was dirty, the heater made so much noise it would wake you. Worst was the bed. It was hard and I am pretty sure I felt a spring snap. Worst bed I have ever slept in.

Our room (Room 4) was a good size, warm, clean and had a very comfortable bed. The only thing that let it down was the ensuite shower room. The window sealant in the ensuite was black with thick mould. It needs replacing immediately. Also, the toilet roll holder needs to be moved as it presses into ones right arm whilst sitting on the throne. It also needs some shelves to hold personal toiletries, etc. On a positive note, we have stayed here twice previously with no cause for any criticism. We will return for sure but will be asking for a room change if it falls short in its usual standards.

The reviews of this place are baffling to me. The only redeeming qualities are the location and the incredibly friendly staff. Everything was dirty and very dated. It looks and smells like 1 million people stayed there and they haven’t gotten around to cleaning it yet.

We found the staff very friendly however the hotel needs updating. Our room was disappointing unfortunately. The bedding was very cheap with no additional blankets available. The wall mirror had a crack and there was dust throughout. The bathroom extractor fan wasn’t working which we reported to the gentleman at the reception desk on arrival but this wasn’t addressed or fixed. We’ve definitely stayed in better 4 star hotels. We did have a meal in the restaurant one evening which was amazing. Exceptional food and service, just unfortunate that the hotel room wasn’t up to standard.

Stayed here a few years ago and had a good experience. This time it was less positive. Check in was a bit slow and staff didn't seem very engaged. We had booked a garden room like the last time but have noticed that it was a lot more worn this time. Maintenance could be improved. Last time we had bathrobes in the room but this time they cost extra - despite being advertised as in the room. Not good and when we asked reception the woman was quite dismissive. If you go for a swim you need to take a towel from the room, otherwise they charge you extra yet again. Not great because you only get one big towel per person in the room. The pool and the whole area needs a deep clean too - tiles were scabby in desperate need of a scrub. In the pool there was a woman giving swimming lessons to children - she was extremely loud and rude when told not to shout. Breakfast buffet was okay, but would have been nice to be told that you can order stuff lije eggs benedict. The bed was big and shower and toiletries great.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff! Freya and Blair were kind, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Thanks to you both! This hotel is lucky to have you on staff. I rated less so the cleanliness (pillows falling apart, dusty/dirty surfaces), unavailability of necessary items (no top sheet, fridge, ice bucket etc..and didn't know until our third day we had to ask for them), horrible WiFi so no TV and barely able to get any work done. To end on a positive note, the landscapers are to be congratulated...breathtaking :)

When we booked our Room it showed a photo of the hotel and when arrived to check in we were told oh your across the parking lot at the other place . We noticed that carpets were not vacuumed regularly as there was chips scattered on the floor when arrived and only cleaned on the day we lefted.

Getting a bit tired of being treated like a lower class guest for travelling with our dog. Why advertise as being dog friendly where there is only one tired and cold area available to sit and relax with our dog? The dog friendly rooms are poorly maintained and in need of a good clean. Our bathrobes were dirty before we even put them on. Our tea, coffee and cups were never refreshed during our 4 day stay. The shower floor had brown sludge between the tiles. Just a bit sad and disappointing for being supposedly the finest hotel in Inverness.

A nice, very comfortable hotel. The room was lovely, but a mini fridge would have been nice. The bar was welcoming and staff friendly. The main downside was going through the dining area, after check-in, with our luggage.

Most of the property is very quiet. Our room, however, was very near the highway and car noise was annoying. The staff were very friendly but the service in the lounge was spotty. Overall, it is a very nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood walking distance from the town center. I would recommend this hotel, just avoid the rooms near the highway

The hotel was lovely our room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and a working TV 😁 the bathroom was really nice the only disappointing part was the water pressure which was low I had to run around in the shower to get wet 💦 We ate at the hotel it was a reasonable price and good food we sat in the lounge for our meal but had to grab the attention of a staff member to be served as they were only paying attention to people in the dining area the leisure facilities were enjoyable and relaxing we would definitely stay again

Beautiful hotel and I always enjoy staying here, but the service was a little bit slower than expected on this stay. It took 25 minutes for my food order to be taken in the bar despite me asking if I could place it myself. Check-in was also very busy and my room was also not ready at 3:45 pm so I had to wait for the key and effectively check in twice. Bar staff need be more attentive and I think an extra staff member on reception could be beneficial. Other than that the room and food were excellent as usual.

We were staying in the executive rooms which we’d stayed in before and sometimes has had a separate checkin however the previous time we’d stayed we’d needed to check in at the main reception. So we went there this time and queued for 15 mins to be told we should check in at the other building. Think this could have been messaged beforehand. We filled in an online checkin prior to arrival but were asked the same questions on arrival so was a pointless exercise. Our daughter was staying in the hotel as well and was charged £1.50 for a towel at leisure centre but hadn’t been told the process at checkin. About 50% of the staff were quite brusque whereas the rest very welcoming. The main chap on the main restaurant, unfortunately didn’t get his name was super helpful and friendly.

Great hotel, great location and we’ve visited it many times. Service was pretty slow in the dining/bar area. To be fair this is the first time we have experienced this but it happened over both nights of our stay and was very noticeable. We will without doubt return again as it’s a great hotel and we’re hoping that this was a one off

Fantastic stay at the Kingsmills hotel. Two day trip to cycle round Loch Ness and the staff were first class. From Lee the concierge to the front desk, especially Hannah who booked our multiple taxes and got our room ready early and all the bar staff and restaurant staff. Food was excellent and they even put on a special 5am breakfast for those doing the early cycling event. Will definitely be back, but will bring my golf clubs too next time. Thanks kingsmills

The best thing about this hotel was the staff! Freya and Blair were kind, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Thanks to you both! This hotel is lucky to have you on staff. I rated less so the cleanliness (pillows falling apart, dusty/dirty surfaces), unavailability of necessary items (no top sheet, fridge, ice bucket etc..and didn't know until our third day we had to ask for them), horrible WiFi so no TV and barely able to get any work done. To end on a positive note, the landscapers are to be congratulated...breathtaking :)

Sadly I had to stay at this hotel under sad circumstances as my father had taken ill in Inverness. The staff at the hotel were phenomenally kind. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The room was beautiful and spacious. The fantastically kind lady in reception went above and beyond… even brought me a cafetière of fresh coffee when our in room cafeteria was found to be broken. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Had a nice enough stay, only thing was 2 out of 3 nights our meals in the Hotel were not that fantastic. Staff are so lovely, the suite was nice and the lounge area is nice to sit and relax. We felt however that the Hotel was more interested in the 2 American tour buses groups and we felt the quality of our meals were nothing great. Still a lovely hotel but eating out was so much better.

Great hotel with great amenities but the bed was the worst ive ever slept on. It was soo hard that i had to use a pillow to sleep on. In the morning I had a very sore back. Facilities in the hotel were great. Amazing swimming pool and gym. Bar was good and restaurant served good food. A more varied pub menu would be a good addition.

The room was clean, and of a good size, although the room windows had a privacy film applied due to a huge air conditioning unit being situated directly outside the windows. Water pressure in the bathroom was very low, and should be looked into. The evening meal was good, especially the cheese board, and the restaurant staff were attentive and helpful. I wouldn’t rate my experience as 4 star, and would probably not revisit this hotel.
