There was food left in one of the drawers that was left by the people before us. Did not end up getting properly cleaned

This hotel was beyond disgusting. It smelt horrible like cigarettes, there was hair on the towels and piles of dirty and filth on the doors, bath tub and floor. When asking for a refund d/t the condition of the room they refused to refund the whole amount. VERY disappointed with this place. I’ve never felt more disgusted.

It was an ok place to stay. The bed wass extremely comfortable, but the whole place could have used a good cleaning. When we got into the room we found out that the phone didn't work, as the cord was broked and wouldn't stay plugged into the phone. We also couldn't find the tv remote, so. I had to figure out how to hold the phone cord into the phone to call the main desk to get a new remote. What an ordeal after a long day.

Chicago hotels have become very expensive! This was a more moderately priced hotel and it fit the bill. We were not expecting a 5-star property, and this was not. As we expected, it was older and could use some updating, but it did what we were looking for--provided us a safe, clean, comfortable place to stay for a night. And a step above the grab-n-go breakfast so many places now offer. A good value.

The hotel is very dirty in general. The hallways and stairwell in particular are not kept clean. It’s starting to look as bad as the red roof in down the street.
