Country Inn Walker

Very clean very friendly staff, but the pool was broken then whole time we were there and they wanted us to use the pool at their affiliate hotel which was pretty inconvenient

We have stayed at this hotel every year for many years and I have to say it was somewhat disappointing this year. Dinging area floors were dirty, no milk for breakfast cereal, and no forks. The hot tub jets were not working. There were fewer cars in the lot and for a Friday night during prime summer vacation it tells me that I’m not the only disappointed customer. And of course the prices were much higher this year.

Fastest check in ever! 24 hr pool-no kids in it after 11.. , awesome breakfast in a large room. quiet. Very friendly staff, both in the evening and morning! We were offered chips/salsa at check in. Told of other snacks. When i asked check out time i was told 11 but that a late check out could be accommodated. If i was being picky about anything id say The property could be updated but id never detour that from me coming again. They had all we needed and more!!! Even a small kit in bathroom with a small nail file and q tips. Ample parking! They even have 4 pull thru places for truck/trailers.

Only had stairs bathroom paint peeling off.if you have problems with your legs wound not stay here.breakfest was average at best.it was a

Our stay was just for one night but the room was clean, service was great and was pet friendly. A variety of food was available for breakfast. Inn also had a hot tub/spa and an inside pool. Would Def stay again.

We really did enjoy our stay. However, the bathtub was really disgusting. I wore my flip flops in the shower because it was so gross. The breakfast was ok, but the hot food was cold. Not sure if I missed the information when scheduling, but I was unaware that there were no elevators and both my husband and I have trouble with stairs so that would have been nice to know as well.

We enjoyed our one night stay. Easy check in with super friendly staff. The room was clean, spacious, and the Bath and Body Works toiletries were a surprising touch. Breakfast was your average included hotel breakfast. Nice that the pool and hot tub were open until midnight.

The room was spotless, and they had snacks for people staying there. Breakfast was great, and the inn was very quiet. We got a great night's sleep.

Check-in was quick and friendly — the staff greeted us warmly, explained all the hotel services, and told us about the complimentary breakfast. Our room was spacious, spotless, and in excellent condition, with thoughtful touches like a mini-fridge, whirlpool tub, roomy desk, and plenty of towels. We especially loved the little rubber duckie gift for social media photos — such a fun idea! The hotel itself was clean and inviting throughout. Although we didn’t use the pool or hot tub, both looked well maintained and appealing. Breakfast the next morning exceeded expectations, with a wide variety of hot and cold options — scrambled eggs, cheesy potatoes, maple sausage, cereals, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, and more. The dining area was large and spotless, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, our stay was delightful in every way. We highly recommend the Country Inn in Walker to anyone visiting the area — it’s a comfortable, friendly, and well-run place to stay.

Room and especially the bathroom dirty. Had to ask for soap at the front desk. Tub broken and needs to be replaced.

There were only two cars in the parking lot when we arrived on a Friday evening, which was odd. Walking into the lobby, everything looked great - clean and nice decor. The staff were very friendly. However, walking to the room on the second floor, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the hallway and held together with painter's tape. Our room had paint peeling off the walls and tile coming off the bathroom baseboard. The floor was not clean and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. The bedspread was stained and had loose dirt sitting on it. The tub didn't drain well, so we had to stand in standing water during our showers, and the shower head was so clogged that the water came out like a gardening hose. My partner is 6' 4" and had to duck down to use the shower. We went to breakfast the first morning and there was no one in the dining room, but only one table was clean. It didn't seem like they were being wiped down throughout the morning. The breakfast was also poor. The hot items looked totally unappetizing and there wasn't much else to choose from. We ended up going somewhere else for breakfast the second morning. We were woken up by screaming kids running through the halls on the second morning. This place is outrageously over-priced for its condition and lack of care. This is the sixth hotel my partner and I have stayed in this year and it was not only one of the highest-priced, but by far the worst property we experienced.

Carpet was filthy... put socks on and they were black in 5 minutes. Shower broke and flooded bathroom . Beds very uncomfortable. Won't stay there again. Staff was frrendly

Came for a 4 day cycling vacation. Very nice hotel. Friendly, helpful staff and a spacious, clean room. Our only complaint was the poor wifi service - unusual in this day and age.

Everything was excellent but our beds are small as hell. No way these are queens.

Property is old, but clean. Wood construction makes everything noisy and echoey.

Good hotel but there is NO INTERNET at this property, if you’re traveling on business I’d highly discourage.

The mgr Danny went over and above by offering to pick us up at the nearby casino after a concert. There are no ride share options in the area so his willingness to do this was very much appreciated. The rest of the staff did a great job and were very friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thanks

The front desk person Jennifer was very friendly and accommodating. We had a little issue with are room and she quickly changed our room to another with a positive attitude. I would give her an A+ Always called me by name when we left or came back. Also ask about our dinning experiences as to where we went and if it was good.

It was just an overnight stay on our way through the state. The hotel was very nice and the receptionist was great. Would definitely recommend.

Hotel is really nice, and we appreciate that it is pet friendly. However, we seated next door to people who clearly left their very loud dog alone who barked every time someone walked by the room. We had our two pups with us, and we take them everywhere; they are never left alone in the room… then, we got a call from hotel staff saying that our dogs were the problem. We were all in the room sleeping after fishing when they called us, and our pups were not the problem. I was told the people with the loud dog, “stay there all the time,” so they did not deal with the real issue of someone leaving their loud dog in the room alone. We have also stayed there many times, but I guess not enough. I am not blaming any staff personally, and dogs I’m sure cause a lot of stress for hotel staff, but this situation is enough to make us stay elsewhere when we come to the Leech Lake area.

Very nice accommodations. The staff was impeccable and all deserved top wage. They went above and beyond for our family. Providing snacks and care when we had to stay extra because our family wasn't feeling well. The pool area was very nice and breakfast was great. My only complaints were that we beds were very uncomfortable and there are a musty ammonia smell in the corner of our room when I think wet towels had been left at one point previously. Overall I would definitely stay again just because of the staff! Great job guys!

The staff kindly adjusted the Saturday breakfast hours when I mentioned that the later start time would make me miss an important meeting.

A last minute stay while on the road in northern Minnesota. The hosts were pleasant unlike another hotel in town.

This hotel is just outside of the main part of town but there is a quiet street right behind the building that will take you to the center of downtown Walker in a 1.5 mile walk with a view of the lake. The front desk staff were very helpful with dinner recommendations. The complimentary breakfast was good!

I liked that they had a tail mix buffet Friday from 4-8pm. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean room and it was very quiet at night.

Bathroom was disgusting, shower curtains looks like they haven't changed them for months, very little spaces for parking if you have a boat . Breakfast: if you're someone thats doesn't like to wake up at 7am, forget about it, it will be empty at 8.30am only pancakes or packed goods available, only good thing about the hotel is the location, hope that they improve because it's really a privileged location. Anyways I'm not coming back.

We have stayed at this hotel three times already, and we kept returning because our experience so far has been great. Well, this third time it was not. The breakfast was lacking - thankfully, we had food with us. On previous visits the lobby offered water and trail mix, but sadly, these were not available this time around.

Our stay was very nice. Quiet, comfortable, nice location and view. The breakfast was delicious with many choices. Nice touch that you could make your own goodie bag of granola type snack.

Excellent hotel! Has everything you want from a three star national chain AND nice local touches that make you feel like a guest in the Northwoods. This is the place to stay in the Walker area. Breakfast is free in the morning and snacks available at all times. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Well done! Will return!
