Facility is dated elevator not working when arrived

Only thing that was disappointing was that the pool was not open. They had a chlorine issue

Most of The staff was rude. There was popcorn trailed all through the hotel. Hair dryer was broken in the room. The elevator was by far the worst I’ve ever seen. Very old looking and very slow. You wait at least 5 mins every time. Staff spoke badly about over guests in front of guests. The fridge in the room was filthy and the shower.

This was probably the worst Marriott branded hotel we’ve stayed in. Parking lot was in rough shape, broken concrete curbs, the sign was old and sun beaten. The elevator needs to be up to date. Our room looked like it has been patched back together several times. The tub filled up to my ankles every time I showered. Come on Marriott, do better with this property. It’s in a great location, get it back to good condition!

There was a lot of thing out of order. The ice macines on every floor and the cold drink cooler was broken.

Marriott chose to have "hotel improvements" occurring during my stay, rather than close the hotel for the time involved to replace the drapes in all the rooms, a noisy and frankly dirty project. In addition, the elevator was shut down from the first morning of my stay. I left early because of the weather, but was not sad to leave. Lastly, the photos of this place provided by Hotels. com were "enhanced" (by someone) to make the place look brighter and more welcoming that it in fact is. Rooms are plain and somewhat drab, and not improved by the new drapes, in my opinion.

Stay was ok. we were very disappointed with the pool. Pool area and the water itself was cold. We had been looking forward to a break from the cold weather - but the pool was too cold to stay in it very long.

Halls were in desperate need of a vacuuming. There was trash that was in the hall that was there the whole 3 days we stayed. Breakfast was however one of the better breakfast we have had for hotel breakfast. Elevator was slow and carpet in rooms and common area is outdated.

At check in we were told we were in the updated section of the hotel. There were stains in the bathtub, the sink drained slowly, everything was kind of clean yet kind of grimey. Pool was not cleaned and I fished hair out the second day that my kids saw the first day. The workout room had nothing to sanitize the equipment. The lobby restrooms were unusable due to smell and condition. Our key cards kept deactivating and we had to get several replacements. Way overpriced for the condition of the entire property.

Room was not clean specifically the tub and bathroom. Staff was excellent. Property could use some upgrades. FREE Breakfast is a plus.

The front desk was very accommodating to my early check in needs. The room was spotless on arrival and the snacks and breakfast foods are amazing. Enjoyed my stay.

My family and I were traveling through Pittsburgh and stayed here for the night. Check in was easy, room was filthy, no towels, and the bathroom was disgusting. There were pools of dried blood in the floor and obviously no one had cleaned.

Dirty carpet. Moldy bathroom. Gross

Front desk staff was nice. Room was filthy. I feel like they didn’t even change the sheets. Couldn’t sleep much because there were kids running yo and down the hallways all hours of the night. I wouldn’t stay here again

Do we start with gross, gummy-feeling carpet or the mildew filled bathroom? Do not let the updated lobby fool you into staying here, the rooms are in desperate need of an overhaul. And given what we paid per night, it was gouging in the worst way.

This hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely helpful. I thought the lemon water, cookies and coffee and tea out all day was nice! Beds were comfy and room was beautiful. The trundle in the room was a really good idea.

I was very happy with my stay at this property! -- though I had a one night stay I could not have been happier-/ the staff was wonderful room spacious and comfortable; and an overall pleasant experience.

Room was clean. However Room was dinky with less space. Bath tub was old and a little slippery. Shower water pressure was not satisfactory. Room service is only every other day. However front desk was friendly and provided whatever supplies that were needed. Door Key kept failing.

I enjoyed staying here my but I had 2 issues one my room was literally right by the toll so all I heard was truck drivers blowing there horn all night and the noise in that hotel is terrible with slamming of doors and hearing the ppl above me stombing around and kids screaming and yelling all this was all night long... I will say I am going to try here one more time hoping it was because it was Christmas and its normally not like that woth all the noise definitely will request being on the other side so I am NO WHERE near the turnpike... The Manger Kathy is so nice and polite she was very helpful shes a very friendly lady she stopped and talked to me a few times the day she was thereshe dropped in the day after Christmas day!! I also had a issue using my keycard to enter the pool area the whole time I was there... I do really like all the seating area's outside when its nice out I have never seen that at a hotel before.. Also I found out if ypu go to Max & Erm's and shpw them your keycard you will get a little bit of a discount 😉

Air conditioner in the room too loud. Room 100.

The staff was great, friendly, attentive, professional. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. We had an issue with the room keys and needed to get new ones almost every time we left the room. One of the staff said the battery needed to be replaced on the door mechanism. It caused us minor inconvenience having to go up & down multiple times for keys. We were happy to have a breakfast available with a variety of food options, coffee and juice.

Rooms are definitely dated and shower area wasn’t the best. The pics were def deceiving but room was large and beds were comfortable. For one night it was fine but for longer stay I would want something different.

Room was ok but the beds are terrible and could not sleep for an hour the whole night. I am talking about the mattress. Looks like those are being used from last 100 years because i feel the springs below and i am only 150 lbs.

Solid hotel, great location for work. Loved my suite, super friendly staff and great breakfast- would recommend if you need to stay in the area.

It isn't the property - it is the staff. Excellent customer service - personable and intelligent.

It was clean and well maintained. The only downside was short supply of staff. I had to go to front desk to pick up linens and pillows for the Sofa bad as those were not in the room. Otherwise the stay was pleasant and met our expectation.

Staff was wonderful. It was Christmas Eve and Christmas Day that I stayed there. There was free hot chocolate, coffee and tea, a gift wrapping station an̈d coloring pages for the mids. Made things extra special and I appreciated the effort.

Where to begin. So many ppl were helpful & kind. When we arrived my nephew had dropped off a car seat for my grandson that was arriving the following day, the woman at check in was so very kind to let me know it was there behind the counter. She addressed me using Mrs. which I honestly felt like that was very professional/respectful. She was very kind. I gave her 2 gift cards to be applied to our stay and she mentioned Jesse is the auditor & the gift cards would be applied when Jesse arrives. I was nervous because ince I gave those to her, I had nothing to show I gave them to her. I went back the next day to ensure they were applied and Jesse was there. Jesse was awesome! He went above & way beyond the call of duty! He of course applied the gift cards, but went further by stating they have a snacking hour where snacks are out between certain hours. The day we arrived was popcorn & the next day was strawberry’s & pound cake. I told Jesse that we were leaving for the day to see family I had not seen in 6 years but my husband was having a surprise birthday party there. Jesse stated “I will save you some. Just ask Lisa when you return”. We returned fairly late that evening, pretty full from foods we had at party so didn’t go running to Lisa for pound cake. My daughters room key needed reset so she went to front desk to have it reset & came back with cake & strawberries! Now THAT is Great customer service that needs to be acknowledged! He was so very kind & appreciates customers!

The staff are unprofessional

At checkin I was greeted quickly and gave my name, but another guest walked past the fest and the staff told me to hold on while they helped that guest. I was then ignored for 5 minutes while towels, and water were given the that guest. Once I was helped I went up to my room, but it was either still occupied or had never been made up. Upon return to checking and explaining the situation a new room was assigned. The rooms are generally fine if a bit tired. Rooms are standard Springhill Suites decor, though the furniture was of an older variety and well worn. No USB charging outlets in the room, though the mattress was fine.

The front desk manager was very helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. Modern. Great kitchenette.

Despite the close proximity to the Turnpike, the traffic noise wasn’t bad. The hotel was packed, but it handled the crowd pretty well.

Make a better street sign from the street where you make the turn to your hotel. You can’t see the sign because of the street pole. I hope that management can email me if they fix this problem. Thank you.

The location was great, a little hidden, but that's kind of nice too.

Property is well maintained with good staff and breakfasts. The location was the biggest shortfall.

Easy access location for SteelCityCon. Came for the proximity to Monroeville Convention Center and comp. breakfast.

Shower floor was very slippery. If you are going downtown from property, you might want to find a hotel that doesn’t require driving on I 376 until road work is done.

The room was clean, the free breakfast had a lot of good options, it's within a close driving distance of multiple shopping malls/plazas, the UPMC hospital, and the Sri Venkateswara Hindu temple.

Off main highway, felt safe, and close to my exit off the turnpike.

I liked the convenience of the property . We were able to navigate downtown pittsburgh and attend the Home and garden show. Our concert was cancelled Friday night so we were able to enjoy the views in the metropolitan area.

Breakfast was nice.

The breakfast and the breakfast area was great, although we wished there had been waffles, the outdoor patio was very nice, the pool was good, the staff was very friendly and kind, only complaint was the tiny hard beds, needs some updates, otherwise a great value.

Staff was very accommodating. Breakfast offered a lot of options from scrambled eggs to freshly prepared waffles, cereal, good orange juice not watered down like lots of places. Going back there again in fall.

Breakfast was sub par. Esp coffee. We ended up at the Starbucks around the corner.

1) Front desk staff are very nice and meet my request. The room was tidy and clean when checking in, but it was not cleaned and tidied and re-filled with coffee and cups. The breakfast was good, but there were fruit flies in dinning area.

Break fast could have been better, not many options. Room was good and comfortable.

We stayed there 2 nights, first day we arrived, checked in was ok. We got to our room, the carpet was dirty, there were big dirty dark spots near the entrance and the sink, bed was near the heater, and the heat blew to my face all night. Second day morning breakfast was terrible, turkey sausage was dried, oakmeal was super thick, that’s why I just skipped the breakfast the next day. We went out and came back to our room at 5pm, we couldn’t get into our paid room, because they didn’t update it, finally we got in our room, and the room was ‘untouched’ , no one cleaned the room, then we have to call the front desk and therky sent us someone to clean it. Finally we can sit down and thought we can watch some TV, but the tv was showing ‘no signal’ ! This is it, we had enough for the day! Anyway, this hotel is overpriced $170 CAD per night! I trusted the name Marriott, but the whole experience was awful!

I liked the little extras such as lemon water, coffee, and hot chocolate available all day. Also they had popcorn in the lobby. And another thoughtful treat was a “take along” including granola and breakfast bars and donut holes with chocolate dipping sauce and sprinkles and water bottles.

We got a recently renovated room. It looked and smelled clean and fresh. Breakfast was great.
