We had a two night stay and enjoyed the facilities on many levels. We ate fabulous bar food and enjoyed great live music while eating. We also took advantage of the pool and spa (but not the gym which looked very well setup). The staff couldn’t have been nicer from the chamber maids to the reception and bar/waiting staff.The rooms are comfortable and well proportioned. We’ll definitely be going back soon. Thanks Steve

Very clean and beautiful on the inside. Room was very comfortable and clean. Just the layout is sprawling and on one floor - just gave me the feel sometimes of a retirement home. Really appreciate that the pool staff allowed my son and I to toss a ball back and forth in the pool. My son was disappointed in the "leisure centers" in Ireland. We knew you had to wear swim caps, but the pools are very blah workout style pools and that is all a kid can do (you can't use the jacuzzi, sauna, steam room unless you are 16).

The hotel is beautiful and the grounds have a castle that they encourage you to explore. The bar was nice, and the bartender was very helpful. Our room was a LONG way from the front desk and you can't access it from the outside. We had a small child, but the kid zone they advertise is only open for a few hours 2 days a week. Likewise, there are limited hours for children to use the pool and a dozen rules to follow in the pool area.

The layout of hotel is so weird and only 1 elevator in the premises. You have to drag suitcase on the type of carpet that quite difficult to roll our bags. 3 of us checked in and no service offered from bell service to bring up luggage to our room.

Some areas of this property need to be updated. The carpets look dirty in the hallways and in our room. They need a good steam clean or to be replaced. Overall, the hotel was good for our two nights. The breakfast was nice. The hotel was next to the Dromoland Castle and golf course. It is a beautiful area to walk around! The walled garden is incredible! The in house bar and restaurant seemed lively and had local, live music several days a week. The property’s amenities were nice, but again they seem to be a bit in need of some updating and repair. Room was big but very basic& not that warm There was a shower but no bath - 4 of us in a family room but only 2 cups & 2 glasses provided - I had to ask for more cups & glasses for us & more tea/ milk No drinking water bottle in the room . No safe provided in the room Room was very dated and carpet worn Staff were nice not particularly friendly. I asked a barman where was the best area for a mobile signal was and he went off & came back with a container of colour crayons ! I got a takeaway in the local town and the hotel provided plates/ cutlery when asked without any issue which was a big plus . Play area was not open which was a huge disappointment to my little granddaughter aged 5 yrs Unfortunately I have to say I would not stay there again - This hotel Inn at Dromoland is within walking distance to Dromoland Castle but it is a very tired and certainly I found no luxury which because of the name I was expecting . In saying that it was very affordable for B & B . Breakfast was very fresh and delicious

The Staff were brilliant I feel the hotel needs updating the rooms were a good size the cleaning could be better it’s such a lovely location just a few changes could make it a more warmer and inviting place to stay. I may return but mainly due to the wonderful staff especially the reception staff. I don’t like to criticise but I truly believe you could have an amazing hotel if certain problems were addressed, Kind regards Pauline 🙏

The Inn At Dromoland is okay. The front looks pretty good and the long drive up to it is nice. It’s when you drive round the back to get in closer via the back door that you see how run down it is. Does that matter? Not too much, but it feels a bit fake. The room was fine, and the restroom appeared to be recently remodeled, but it was a major turn off when lifting the seat finis g that the bottom side of the seat had not been properly cleaned in ages. A short visit to Dromoland Castle was a nice surprise and the grounds there are beautiful. We simply parked and walked around to admire the castle and grounds. Service was not bad at this hotel, but we were told we. Loud park in the back, but found no way to actually enter through the doors that were near our room. 7/10.

Unfortunately the hotel needs updating and everything felt dirty except the updated and clean bathrooms. The carpet was dirty, the walls were in need of a good painting or at least a wipe down. The upside to it was we were able to walk the property at The Dromoland Castle which was gorgeous!

The property is lovely for single travelers, couples and families. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. We would definitely stay at the Inn at Dromoland again. We would recommend this inn for our friends and family.

The room needs to be updated; carpet is too old and it looks dirty. The bathroom was very nice. This is an old property but it’s lovely. The best of our stay was to be able to visit the pub. It was perfect! Great food! Fantastic music! Wonderful customer service!

Beautiful property. The staff were very accomodating, the rooms were large and well- appointed. We enjoyed the pub for dinner, and walked to Dromoland Castle through a golf course to go to a falconry tour- which was amazing!

The facility is first-rate and very child-friendly (though I was not traveling with a child). The only reason I gave it a 4 rather than a 5 was that it had surprisingly spotty wifi that didn't always work in my room (though it worked in the lobby and the bar). It was like 1994-quality internet. But the staff were very helpful and everything was resolved. And dinner was delicious!

It's a grand 3 star hotel. Stayed 2 nights and couldn't sleep until after 1am both nights with noise from corridors, and could hear every conversation / tv perfectly from rooms either side of us. Even kids running in the corridors upstairs seemed to shake the room. Staff were excellent, breakfast was nice, bar food was fine, decor was 3 star. I was surprised that residents had to pay for play inn, and even more surprised that a coffee there was €4.10.

The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. I felt breakfast was overpriced, but honestly a full Irish breakfast at a restaurant would probably cost about the same. Everything was delicious (some of the best scrambled eggs, sausage, and baked beans I've ever tasted!) and the seating process was fast and organized. My room was a little warm but there was a fan available to help cool it down a little. The view from my room was someone's backyard, which felt a little awkward, but I could always just close the curtains. Speaking of the curtains, they completely blocked out all light, which was extremely helpful when I was trying to sleep off my jetlag! Overall a great start for my first visit to Ireland!

I do not understand why bathrooms fans run for so long after use. Some wear & tear issues could be easily fixed by an attentive housekeeper and maintenance person. The property needs some updating and renovation for sure. I had read this in a number of other reviews so I wasn’t surprised. We went to Shannigan’s twice for dinner my Chicken Caesar Salad was lacking one key element “chicken” it was more like a few crumbs and a complete waste of time. This is also mentioned in other reviews. There were a lot of staff but no one seemed to be actually interested in serving us. I lost track of how long it took to get and pay the bill.

We arrived during a wedding. Limited parking. Everyone was smoking at the entrance so you had to walk through a cloud of smoke to enter. Checkin was great but our room smelled. We let it air out for 2 hours, went to dinner and it still stunk so we switched rooms at midnight. Staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was so noisy we couldn’t talk at the same table. On another day I may have given a higher review.

The hotel itself was nice enough but the shower was cold. For 200€ a night you’d expect a warm shower. It sometimes happens but when i mentioned it at reception at checkout they didn’t seem to care really so that’s why the bad review.

Beautiful property. The staff were very accomodating, the rooms were large and well- appointed. We enjoyed the pub for dinner, and walked to Dromoland Castle through a golf course to go to a falconry tour- which was amazing!

Quaint but can be a little noisey and busy. Perhaps it’s just the Christmas season where lots of families seem to host their gatherings. You will need a car to get to the hotel. There’s lots of grounds to explore on the property unfortunately we did not have to chance to.

The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. I felt breakfast was overpriced, but honestly a full Irish breakfast at a restaurant would probably cost about the same. Everything was delicious (some of the best scrambled eggs, sausage, and baked beans I've ever tasted!) and the seating process was fast and organized. My room was a little warm but there was a fan available to help cool it down a little. The view from my room was someone's backyard, which felt a little awkward, but I could always just close the curtains. Speaking of the curtains, they completely blocked out all light, which was extremely helpful when I was trying to sleep off my jetlag! Overall a great start for my first visit to Ireland!

I still think about the Irish beef and red wine stew from their onsite restaurant at least once a day. Definitely worth the 11 hour flight and additional drive. Room was clean and staff friendly. Appreciated the in room oscillating fan that helped dry my toddler’s shoes after he jumped in the river in Gort.

The room needs to be updated; carpet is too old and it looks dirty. The bathroom was very nice. This is an old property but it’s lovely. The best of our stay was to be able to visit the pub. It was perfect! Great food! Fantastic music! Wonderful customer service!
