WOW!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!!! Can’t recommend enough. Great room,Lovley bathroom,tea/coffee making facilities,free cookies,milk machine in corridor & a water one too!!! Fridge in room too,gym,swimming pool & spa ,restaurant,bar,meeting rooms,big car park.

Originally booked cause the pictures of the hotel show a bath but ended up being no bath there Suggested hotel.com upgrade there pics cause this hotel does not have any rooms with baths but apart from that enjoyed my stay was clean and comfy and reasonably priced Love the fact for an extra small fee u can use the neighbouring hotels spa’s facilities. Highly recommended

Location isn't the best, but its easy to catch a bus from nearby. Property is perfectly fine. Bed was super comfy. Room was clean. You might get a little wet if it's rainy when trying to reach the pub right next to it which is where breakfast is held, but it's only a few yards. Staff are lovely.

Great stay friendly staff everything we needed was there - we were upgraded to the sister hotel. The breakfast was delicious and of high quality lots of choice. Nice swim in the spa pool. Comfortable room ❤️ white company toiletries!

Lodge Bristol is a very nice hotel and the room i stayed in was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I checked in and out at Aztec acclross the road, staff were very helpful. I would definately stop here again.

When we arrived to check in we were told our room had been double booked. The girl at the desk was very helpful and apologetic (checkin at aztec hotel and spa across the road). She said she would "upgrade us" to one of their hotel rooms with no extra charge, and gave us free parking and a bogof for breakfast, which was very much appreciated! The service was fantastic. We were given room 126 in the aztec hotel and spa, as the lodge that we booked our room in was full. When we entered the room. It was VERY old and dated and had a very musty smell. The room was large with a desk, bathroom, tv and sofa.the furniture was old, dusty and dated. The bathroom was very old, had rust on the rings that held the shower curtain. Dirty marks on the bath & taps. Mildew on the bath. It was late when we arrived so we just got into bed. (which was comfortable and clean thankfully!) The breakfast in the morning was fantastic, staff were wonderful and attentive. When i looked on the website at pictures of the rooms, they were lovely ! The room we stayed in didnt seem to be pictured. The hotel and spa, food and staff were all so fantastic. But they were heavily let down by the poor quality of room 126!!.( i feel the double room i had originally paid for at the bristol lodge looked so much nicer and cleaner in the pictures i saw on their website). I would actually stay at the aztec hotel and spa again. But would definitely ask for one of the rooms pictured on the website!

This hotel is a smaller hotel building linked to the Aztec main hotel over the road. You check in at the Aztec, this took a while I was probably waiting about 10mins to check in, initially I was told I could not check in early so I had to go and wait in my car. On entry to the Lodge it seemed clean and tidy in the main areas, the room itself was decorated nicely with good tea and coffee, hair dryer, TV etc. the bed was comfortable and shower was definitely the best thing about the hotel, super powerful. The main let down for this hotel is how noisy everything is, I could hear every door close in the vicinity of my room especially the bedroom doors being big and heavy, I could hear a baby crying in a neighbouring room, I could hear the person shower upstairs with the water making lots of noise from my room. I stay in a lot of hotels with work and personal travel, and this was probably the least sound-proofed room I have ever stayed in. It's a real shame because the rest of the hotel was nice and for only around £40 for the night I stayed I hate to complain. But unfortunately due to this I would not stay again.

Food was excellent as was the service, only negative was the toilet flush worked 1 out of 10 times so a bit of a bind having to repeatedly press button to eventually get it to flush. Overall though a great budget hotel and excellent value for money

The room is really comfortable and modern. I checked in at 15.30 but room was still being cleaned. Not a real problem as I was going straight out. Returned at 22.30 and retired for the night. Very comfortable bed and a good night sleep. Coffee and tea facilities are great.

Paid for a family room, and on arrival sofa bed wasn't made up, had to go to reception and ask for bedding. A staff member came fairly quickly, he asked if I wanted him to make bed or if I could do it myself, it was quite late by this point so I made it up but he only brought a single duvet and fitted sheet for a double bed. He had gone by this point and my kids were tired so had to share a double bed with just a single duvet. Also there was guests running in the corridor at 3am!! so not the best night

The Lodge is very nice at this price point...once you get in. Check-in for me seemed like an episode of Fawlty Towers. There's no formal check-in desk. You press a button on an intercom and a voice tells you what to do, but the intercom is balky so it's barely intelligible. Once I figured out that I had to go into the pub next door, it took a while to find the check-in space. The woman there didn't seem too familiar with the system, so when I asked for a higher-floor room, she had to summon a manager. My whole check-in took probably 45 minutes. And then the morning I was leaving, I walked into the pub to get a coffee and the manager said the system showed I'd already checked out, even though I didn't. All in all: Good place to stay, but they need a new reservation process.

The check in staff lady was so lovely! And friendly! Our room was so fresh and modern. It was very very nice. The bed was sooooo comfortable!!! Will 100% be back. Well worth the money amazing find!

Lodge Bristol is a very nice hotel and the room i stayed in was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I checked in and out at Aztec acclross the road, staff were very helpful. I would definately stop here again.

Firstly the room rate was £150 per night with no breakfast, so expectations were based on that! I arrived at 1:30am after a 5hr drive and whilst i appreciate check in is from 3pm, i stay away 2 nights per week and i often arrive before 3pm, Firstly lodge/hotel has no reception and a sign says Check in across road at Hotel and Spa, i walked over only to be told to check in at the pub and its too early, i walk to the pub to be told its too early, but IF my room is ready, i can have early check in for £30!! £30 for EARLY CHECK IN! for a room that im already paying £150 a night for, itll be my room in 1.5hrs anyway so why the £30? The Night potter wasn't helpful. Didn't give proper directions to get to the room. We arrived by 8 pm but the room wasn't ready which was okay as the lady receptionist was nice. She advised us the night potter would make up our room. We arrived later and check in with him. He just gave us the keys, didn't tell us where the room was. We proceed to wonder around trying to find our room. So we asked him on the way, he said take a left at the door and it is just there. And that he had told me earlier. I felt it was my mistake and apologised. When i asked my wife she said he did jot twll us where the room was in the first place. I let it go and proceed to the door and took a left as he told me and we reached a first floor and still couldn't find it. So we went back to the reception with our luggage to tell him that we couldn't find the room. He then said you got to go out of the main door , cross the road and go to the building to the left which isn't what he told us the first time too.my 7 year old son felt that the receptionist was a bit rude and wasn't interested in helping. He could have clearly told us that we had to exit the building and get into the road in the first place. This is not what you expect after travelling 7 hours. Nice property but would not recommend due to the service received. The Morning reception/manager was great very helpful as he had to cut 2 new keys as the 1st ones were made just for 1 night though we booked a 2 night stay.

To have your room towels changed you have to request itBY PHONE (even though the “do not disturb signs’ still hang on the doors, which have historically been used for the purpose of not requiring a turn over)… 1st world problem I know, however my room still never got changed even after making the request!

Excellent location easy to find. We arrived at midnight after a concert in Cardiff. The night were very helpful and even served us with a bottle of wine & glasses to take to our room. Our room was of a much better standard than we were expecting too

Location isn't the best, but its easy to catch a bus from nearby. Property is perfectly fine. Bed was super comfy. Room was clean. You might get a little wet if it's rainy when trying to reach the pub right next to it which is where breakfast is held, but it's only a few yards. Staff are lovely.

Would definitely stay here again. Although close to Bristol, it was lovely and quiet. We wanted a twin room really but one was not available so booked a family room. Unfortunately the second bed hadnt been made up when we arrived but as soon as we brought it to the attention of staff, it was sorted out. Cafe /bar next door, ideal for a quiet drink and breakfast in the morning. Staff were really friendly and helpful. An ideal place for overnight stop off.

This property is set within an industrial estate across from the Aztec Hotel & Spa. You check in via the pub/restaurant next door called the Black Sheep. The supervisor was great & very accommodating to my daughter who is a wheelchair user. Room was excellent, quiet & clean. Great base for touring the area around, as long as you have transport. Would highly recommend & would definitely stay again if in the area.

Very basic Hotel by perfect for our needs. They also let us use the main restaurant at the Aztec hotel across the street, which was super kind. The pub food wasn’t great and healthy options were limited.

When we arrived to check in we were told our room had been double booked. The girl at the desk was very helpful and apologetic (checkin at aztec hotel and spa across the road). She said she would "upgrade us" to one of their hotel rooms with no extra charge, and gave us free parking and a bogof for breakfast, which was very much appreciated! The service was fantastic. We were given room 126 in the aztec hotel and spa, as the lodge that we booked our room in was full. When we entered the room. It was VERY old and dated and had a very musty smell. The room was large with a desk, bathroom, tv and sofa.the furniture was old, dusty and dated. The bathroom was very old, had rust on the rings that held the shower curtain. Dirty marks on the bath & taps. Mildew on the bath. It was late when we arrived so we just got into bed. (which was comfortable and clean thankfully!) The breakfast in the morning was fantastic, staff were wonderful and attentive. When i looked on the website at pictures of the rooms, they were lovely ! The room we stayed in didnt seem to be pictured. The hotel and spa, food and staff were all so fantastic. But they were heavily let down by the poor quality of room 126!!.( i feel the double room i had originally paid for at the bristol lodge looked so much nicer and cleaner in the pictures i saw on their website). I would actually stay at the aztec hotel and spa again. But would definitely ask for one of the rooms pictured on the website!

Food was excellent as was the service, only negative was the toilet flush worked 1 out of 10 times so a bit of a bind having to repeatedly press button to eventually get it to flush. Overall though a great budget hotel and excellent value for money

We had a great experience staying at the Lodge for the first time. Our room was spacious and loved the powerful shower. The environment felt homey and surrounding areas and coffee shop nearby were all lovely. Parking was limited outside the property but there were more spaces at the main hotel. Not super convenient checking in across the road but overall fine.

Have to check in at hotel across the road. No information about this before I arrived and no clear instructions at the Lodge entrance door. Would be very difficult in poor light and bad weather conditions. Check in staff had poor communication. The Room was a very good standard and clean. Shower was very powerful and clean

Check-in was a bit confusing but only a short walk away at the main, more expensive hotel. Our room had a lovely chaise seat and plenty of space. The bathroom light wasn't well thought out for night-time since it needed all the room lights lit up at the same time, or end up with a blacked-out bathroom. Good value overall & would definitely stay again. The hotel bar and food over the road were an added bonus.
