The good - newly redone bathroom. A pet friendly hotel that doesn't charge extra for the pet. The bad - didnt feel safe. Lobby locked down after dark. Sign warning of costs that would be charged for damage to multiple items, right down to individual washcloths. Bare bones room with no coffee maker, microwave or refrig. Coffee maker in lobby not working. Vomit stains on room carpet. Lights over bed not working. Will not be returning.

It’s a Red Roof Inn, so you shouldn’t expect too much but it was clean and quiet. First room we got had a very loud a/c unit so the nice front desk staff member moved us to a nicer room. Nice grassy area for your pup as well. And extremely convenient to Rider University, which was the reason for our visit-move-in day.

I never entered the Red Lion Inn/Princeton-Ewing property, having been intimidated by its "park at your own risk" signs. Also a warning from a nearby tradesman that he's not surprised when police cars show up at the inn. Instead I swallowed my pre-paid reservation and spent the night at a nearby Double Tree. Don't take my word for it: Twelve of the 20 most recent reviews rated the inn 1/5 and four more rated it 2/5.

Took over 25 minutes to check in only one counterperson. He was very unfriendly and rude. I tried to go get coffee inside the check in area at 6:45am they wouldn't let me said doesn't open until 7am. It was just coffee they didn't have a food area so what was the time limit. No where did they say you can't access the coffee stattion until 7am. People need to be up and out. The assistant was nasty and rude.

We came as a group for a wedding. The property has shady people living in rooms. They smoke weed and talk outside your rooms until late at night. The rooms had roaches and stink bugs. Bathrooms were moldy and had bugs inside shower stalls. All of our rooms were disgusting. The price is NOT worth it, go elsewhere. Do NOT go here!!

The little interaction I had with anyone was pleasant and friendly. No issues whatsoever. My only negative is that you have to ask for service while you are there. I booked for a week and extended for another week and the only time anyone came in to refresh towels and take the trash was when I called and requested it. I feel like longer staying customers should still at least have towels and trash done every few days.

I informed the front desk twice that there was a good amount of mold in the toilet water tank, which also leaked profusely to the toilet bowl. I also informed them that from below the concrete foundation, through the seams of the wooden floor, which looked fairly new, there was water that was coming through in the bathrook. Despite having the door hanger to announce to the staff to have maid service, we only receive maid service one day out of 3 that we stayed there. So, all in all, I recommend that you stay at the Hyatt which is about 2 miles north. MUCH better.

We stayed from Sunday thru Friday in the same room. Thursday I killed a cockroach in the bathroom. Friday I killed one just outside the bathroom. After informing the office Thursday and asking for them to place another "bug hotel" (there was 1 in the room already which I also found thursday) they said that they would instead send maintenance to spray our room. They never did and then ignored all 3 of my calls when trying to get the fumigators eta. We didn't move because of fear that there might be more bugs in the other rooms. Other than that they have done a wonderful job of trying to upgrade the rooms. They still have some painting work to complete but what has been done is going in the right direction. This location is hard to exit during the day time as it's located on a freeway / highway set right before the freeway interchange exit.

Check-in was easy and pleasant enough, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. However, the room (a no-smoking room) smelled like cigarette smoke treated with air freshener, which was really obnoxious and lasted like that the entire night. Also, the soap dispenser had no soap in it and the fluorescent light over the sink did not come on so my wife had to apply her makeup in the dim lighting from the rest of the room. The shower worked and was in good condition - probably the best feature of the room. Check-out the next morning was surprisingly disappointing: the reception was locked up and there was no one there (about 7:15 a.m.) so it was not possible to get a printed receipt. We had to deposit our room key in an open drawer and walk away. Four hours later my inbox received an email that I didn't see until evening because I was on the road all day, notifying me that we could check out online but it was already way too late for that. I have never before stayed anywhere where there was literally no one present to check out departing guests. Overall, this is not an experience I would want to repeat. This will probably be my last time staying at a Red Roof Inn.

I asked the receptionist if he was able to heat up my food at least in which he responded I should of booked with Hometowne even tho Red Roof owns Hometowne too. I also only had one channel on my TV which was Fox News.

when our 2nd party went to check in we were told no rooms were available . the desk clerk was also telling 4 other parties no rooms were available even though they had confirmed reservations paid in advance. then he told the that their had been canceled because they had not checked in before 8pm. then he through everyone out of the lobby after accusing one guest of staring at him.

We made the reservation one year ago because this was an high demand week. Upon arrival, the person at the front desk told us our reservation was cancelled (he admitted the hotel had overbooked) and when we had to rebook, the price almost doubled. The room was unclean and smelled strongly of smoke even though we booked a non-smoking room. We definitely will not stay there again and would not recommend this motel to anyone.

It appears that people live at this hotel. The room was clean, but individuals were yelling at each other as we were going up the stairs there were people out on the balcony just looking at people as they arrived (felt like prison). We did not feel that the car would still be there in the morning or intact - we decided not to stay at all. The description of “Princeton-Ewing” in the hotel name was deceiving. Not the best/safest area. No -reflection on the staff.

Took over an hour to get properly checked in. Once we went to our room we realized how unsafe the entire area felt. Signs everywhere stating they’re ‘not responsible for stolen property or damaged vehicles’. Men hanging outside of their doors chain smoking cigarettes. I ended up giving my key back to the front desk and booking a real hotel somewhere nearby. Huge inconvenience- I have no idea why Expedia would even have this “hotel” as an option.
