First ever visit to The Ethorpe but it certainly won’t be my last. Rooms and the hotel bar and restaurant have all been refinished to a very high spec with cleanliness to match. Available free parking and easy access to the rail station make it a very convenient location

Really friendly , helpful staff in reception who were very accommodating. Hotel was exceptionally clean and inviting cleaning staff were so helpful especially when we forgot things ! Rooms were really well decorated and spotless. Parking was readily available and secure. Bar area ,staff and standard of cleanliness of area was good Group of loutish youths off- putting . Reason we didn’t eat there as have encountered that here before. Otherwise would recommend for stays in this area and for ease of access to London .

Nice hotel recommended as we were visiting friends close by and we understood it had been recently renovated. Nice decor, comfy bed and lovely breakfast. The only slight comment I would have is the pub area was so hot, all the radiators were on full blast even though the weather was still mild in September. Also it seemed strange as a pub hotel it didnt have a residents license so had to stop serving by 11. Perhaps thats just a local quirk and certainly wasnt a big issue was just a bit strange arriving back from cinema at 1050pm to be told the bar was closed. All in all though a lovely stay and would stay there again.

The rooms were clean and tidy, very spacious, lovely decorated. Pub was excellent along with the food and a great atmosphere. Staff all very helpful and friendly especially Jess she is an asset to your business

Stayed here in a standard double room ,room was a good size beautifully furnished in a country inn style , excellent shower and comfortable bed, nice soft linen. Only issue pillows were very hard. Tea , coffee and biccies of good quality, even a teapot! Bar area was warm and comfortable didn't have and evening meal but breakfast options were substantial and reasonably priced. Staff were all extremely pleasant and polite creating a welcoming atmosphere. Free and plentiful car parking for hotel guests at the back. Only 2 mins walk to the restaurants, bars &shops so great for our evening out. 5min to station if needed. Will definitely stay here again when next in Gerrards X

We had a great stay. We were met by a lovely receptionist with a great sense of humour and very friendly. The room was very clean, comfortable as was the bed. Bathroom was very clean and great details. Will certainly stay here again. We had a double aspect but certainly did not hear any traffic from the roads. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only 1 point the pillows were a bit short but comfortable. Breakfast was really good as well.

The rooms have had a real transformation from when I last stayed 12 months ago. It’s disappointing that they removed the Air conditioning as the room was stuffy. If you are going to Wembley for an event it’s the perfect location for travelling in and out by train.

The eThorpe is much improved since the recent refurb. The only negative is the lack of aircon during warm weather. Some rooms have non-opening windows, and the provided fans only help so much. Otherwise it is great.

Friendly and super efficient staff - check in was a breeze. We stayed in a standard double room which was lovely and cosy. Bed was comfortable, leading to a great nights sleep. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room too, an added bonus. Delicious coffee bags. Would definitely return. Thank you!

It’s a nice hotel/pub venue. The rooms and bathrooms are very nicely finished and comfortable. If I had one negative it’s that the weather was very hot and so with tiny windows that you could dearly open the room could do with air con rather than just a fan.

The rooms were so styfullingly hot. Eventually I had to sleep on a wet towel with the window wide open as the radiator wouldn't quite turn off. Beautiful roos, but essentially if you can't sleep it's not at all good

Great room, super comfy bed, lots of space and delicious food. However, the room was totally overheated and the windows only opened 20cm. Was a very sweaty night. and the bathroom had a bit an uncomfortable smell from (windows don’t open properly either). Last years room was absolutely fine though

The Ethorpe Hotel has had a makeover recently, the rooms have been done to a good standard but there is a problem with the plumbing, We were given a downstairs room but the corridors had a unwelcoming unpleasant smell in them and when the next door room flushed their toilet it bubbled up trough our shower drain in the bathroom. Meals were also served to a high qaulity

I really enjoyed my stay. Clean, spacious and quiet room with a good bar & restaurant downstairs. I was spending the day in London, so it was perfect: I was able to check in early, leave my car at the hotel car park and then have a very short walk to the station.

Bed comfortable but the hot spell made it unbearable to stay in the upper floor, thanks to the manager who arranged for us to move to a lower floor room. Everything else was enjoyable.

I really enjoyed my stay. Clean, spacious and quiet room with a good bar & restaurant downstairs. I was spending the day in London, so it was perfect: I was able to check in early, leave my car at the hotel car park and then have a very short walk to the station.

We stayed 3 nights at the Ethorpe. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to catch local buses to locations we wished to visit and also using the local buses to travel to Heathrow via routes 106 and 102 for 10 UK pounds! A & J, Canada.

This is a great hotel to stay at if you are planning a trip to Wembley of even London centre. Hotel is 5 minutes walk from station. We had an excellent time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms look recently refurbished and were very comfortable. Overall an excellent hotel at reasonable price and would certianly recommend.

Stayed here in a standard double room ,room was a good size beautifully furnished in a country inn style , excellent shower and comfortable bed, nice soft linen. Only issue pillows were very hard. Tea , coffee and biccies of good quality, even a teapot! Bar area was warm and comfortable didn't have and evening meal but breakfast options were substantial and reasonably priced. Staff were all extremely pleasant and polite creating a welcoming atmosphere. Free and plentiful car parking for hotel guests at the back. Only 2 mins walk to the restaurants, bars &shops so great for our evening out. 5min to station if needed. Will definitely stay here again when next in Gerrards X

I stay at hotels for work purposes at least 50% of the year. I can honestly say that the breakfast i had here was by far the best breakfast I've had in 2023. The bacon was prooerly char grilled on a griddle. Cant wait to come back.

We had a great stay. We were met by a lovely receptionist with a great sense of humour and very friendly. The room was very clean, comfortable as was the bed. Bathroom was very clean and great details. Will certainly stay here again. We had a double aspect but certainly did not hear any traffic from the roads. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only 1 point the pillows were a bit short but comfortable. Breakfast was really good as well.

*NO AIR CON OR FRIDGES IN ROOMS* Can’t fault the staff, rooms, decor, food or atmosphere. We’ve stayed a few times in the past and love it however, we visited during one of the heat waves this year. We remembered there being Air Con on previous visits, however upon double checking, we were told that air con in rooms was removed during the recent renovation and by this time, it was too late for us to cancel. Unfortunately, this resulted in one of the most uncomfortable nights we’ve had in a hotel due to the heat, we were provided with one fan, and brought more of our own, these did not help at all and the room felt to be around 40 degrees through the night. Reception couldn’t help until the next day and we were so thankful to be moved to a room downstairs for the remaining days, but it remained uncomfortably hot throughout our stay. We would not stay again during summer due to the lack of air con. No fridge either which didn’t help! Hate to leave a negative comment but it really affected our stay!
