Super 8 by Wyndham Akron S/Green/Uniontown OH

We wanted an inexpensive stay before an early flight the next day. Rooms were fine but rundown. Floors and shower curtain were dirty/stained. The pool was nice but towels were scarce. Got what we needed for our trip, but wouldn't want to stay more than one night.

THE STAY WAS FINE . THE PROBLEM WAS DRAINS FOR TUB AND SINK WERE EXTREMELY SLOW ON A 2ND FLOOR ROOM. CALL ROTOROOTER! tHE ORANGE JUICE MACHINE AT BREAKFAST WAS OUT OF ORDER AND THE ICE MACHINE ON MY FLOOR WAS OUT OF ORDER...FIX IT

Pool and hot tub are nice

I stay here every time im in the area. The staff here go above and beyond to make your stay perfect for you, they are very friendly and they can recommend place to eat and places to go. The hotel is clean and the place is very close to everything. You are 10 minutes from Akron Canton airport and about 15 to 20 minutes from pro football hall of fame. It is about a 40 minute drive to downtown Cleveland,Ohio. I will pick this hotel anytime im in the area. The only issue i have with the hotel is that the swimming pool is always closed they have said it will be open soon but i have been her at least 20 time over the last 12 months and i have yet to go swimming so if you are traveling with children and wanted to use the pool you might want to call and check.

It would have been nice to know the hot tub was out of order as that was the only reason I booked the room, And of course it was not refundable so we had no choice but to stay or lose our money

It said there was a pool and when we got there we found out there was a hot tub too! Pleasantly surprised. This should be on their website because i didnt see it.

This was the absolute worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We have stayed there 3 times prior, but it was not a wyndham property. The room was filthy the blankets had large holes in them, internet was iffy at best, no hot water for a day, the soda, snack and atm machines were not operateable the whole stay, and often no one was at the front desk. The breakfast had no roles or fruit and the juice machine did not work, the milk was sour it was disgusting to say the least. An then to topi it off, our room was not cleaned and to get fresh towels we needed to go to thefront desk to pick up towels, kleenex and TOILET PAPER. I believe we should be compensated for this nightmare of a hotel.

Pool was not open, I want my money back

We liked the fact that it had a pool and a fitness room. We also liked the room that we chose, the king bed separated from the rest of the hotel room. The staff was friendly and responsive when we mentioned a few issues shortly after check-in. Some things that we didn't care for based upon pictures online of the hotel and various other hotel experiences we have had: - Fitness room was missing half of it's free weights - Pool was rather small and we didn't even get to use it because there was a sign on the door noting it was under maintenance. - Whole place reeked of marijuana! :( It was so bad it gave my wife a headache. - Breakfast was nothing like what appeared on the website, extremely limited, ended up eating out for breakfast instead - Room was dirty, lots of crumbs in the couch, carpet was sticky everywhere, and the lamp in the living room had no light bulb. No TV controls upon arrival or bedding for the hide-a-bed, when bedding did arrive, the blanket was full of holes probably from cigarettes - When we pulled the hide-a-bed out, all kinds of trash and crumbs fell to the floor and underneath the couch was absolutely disgusting. - I think it is very shady when a hotel room supplies a safe hidden in a closet and charges the customer for it's use unless they notify the desk that it will not be used and request the charge be removed: You should eliminate this policy!

Booked 2 rooms on one reservation. Got rooms on different floors, no big deal. Both shower curtains had holes in them. One room smelled like smoke, both rooms comforters had what appeared to be cigarette burns and cuts in them. One room the night stand and light were both nasty dirty.

This place was dirty and smelled bad. I wasn't there more than 10 min yet they refused to refund my money. I will be contacting an attorney.

Room was covered with red fire ants. It was so bad that I’m throwing my personal belongings in the garbage.

Rooms had funny smell, non smoking rooms had burn marks everywhere, stains on the walls, stains on the bed sheets and finally….cockroaches! It was either switch rooms and stay or sleep in the car so we stayed there only because every other hotel in town was booked solid because it was Hall of Fame weekend. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! Only good thing was that the staff was very nice.

Rooms need updated and cleaned. Bedding had all kinds of holes in blankets. Curtains have holes from aging. Floors are dirty. Pool and hot tub area are nice. Front lobby and dining are nicely kept. Breakfast was just ok. Not a lot of product availability. Staff was great. Very friendly and helpful.

The hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and pot smoke and was dirty. Our hotel room had finger nail clippings on the floor with cheese it crumbs. The blankets had cigarette burns in them the lamp shades were all dirty. One lamp was plugged in with no lightbulb in it. The carpets were filthy and needed to be cleaned I would not walk on even in socks

Housekeeping never came to the room to change towels, never came ti room to do anything.

The bedding had burn holes all over it, the bed was sunken and the shower had mold.

The shower was very average. The temperature was only warm so I did not wash my hair as it wasn't hot enough to stay in that long

One good thing was seeing how much of a family the staff is and how they protect each other. The rest of the stay was a huge disappointment. The front desk was generally indifferent to customer requests. Housekeeping visits were rare and totally unpredictable; the ladies are overworked. The room was dark and dirty and shabby. I wonder if those carpets ever get cleaned. WIFI was generally spotty. We regret booking with them.

Bedding had holes in it with permanent stains on the furniture. The walls are thin and tv channels are limited. There was no soap. However the room was clean and the indoor pool was well maintained.

I am not really a person who writes reviews, but this place is either on the Frits or I don’t know. Everything is broken and there were holes in the blankets and curtains. Shower has no pressure and just overall poor condition.

The hotel was in a great location for my journey. I was there for the NFL hall of fame game and induction ceremony. I was also there for the Rock and Roll hall of fame. Both were well within a hour of the hotel the hotel had a pool and provided a very nice breakfast. There were plenty of food options within driving distance and some even within walking distance. There is a great supermarket just across the area. The hotel even had a veterans parking spot. A very nice touch. If I have to knock it for anything, the front doors there are two and they are close making it difficult if you are bringing in luggage. The room door was also difficult to open and shut. Last but not least the curtains didn’t always close well enough to keep out the sun or the street light via the mirror. Over all one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in..

This is an adequate hotel. It served our overnight purpose. There were many people waiting for their rooms to be ready at 3:00. The breakfast consisted of waffles, toast, yogurt and cereal. The milk was in a glass pitcher and an employee would bring out a couple bananas as needed. The bathroom was very old but the water pressure was good. The carpeting in the room needed cleaning. I expected more for $180

The room had signs of wear on the sheets and blanket. Cigarette holes. The bed only had small square pillows. The room heating and cooling unit smelled of dirt. The contentintal breakfast was toast and cereal. Not really much at all to eat. The elevator was out of service which was very difficult for my grandmother to use the stairs.

For an assessable room the bed, although comfortable, was much too high to get into easily

Staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Location was excellent. Could walk to stores, marketplace, fast food all within 5 minutes. Was a very good and safe area. Some stuff was a little outdated but clean. Our room was very clean. For the price it was very nice. Will stay again.

Nice and friendly staff Would stay here again

Took over an hour to check in, then my room still wasnt ready took another 45 mins for room to be cleaned. 2:00 woke up to fire alarm and a SwAT team in the hall. Some nut had set off sprinkler system and barricaded himself in his room. The rest of the night was kept awake by shop vacs and large fans to clean up the water. The free breakfast consisted of a banana and a cup of coffiee.

Missing light bulbs in room. Not enough pillows stained towels. Nasty microwave. Tattered lamp shades and curtains. Smokey smelling hallway. Advertised continental breakfast was non existent. Had to wait ten minutes for someone to come to service desk - no bell present or any notification. Was checked into room that had not been cleaned. Had trouble several times with keys not working.

We were in town for a family wedding.Upon check in the issues already started with payment. Half of the payment was already pre authorized when we got there. Instead of charging the remaining balance, they insisted on processing full payment, plus a $50 deposit. Payment kept declining because they already were holding $114 of the total $229 stay. So trying to process $279 in addition to the $114 already being held wasn’t working because now there was only $220 left in the account to charge. The desk insisted once the room was checked into, the $114 would immediately return to the account. We ended up paying for the room, in full, in cash, thinking the 114 that was being held would be “immediately returned”. Instead, we got to our room and discovered that ANOTHER $114 was processed to our card. So now, we have paid for the room IN FULL, twice. The money was NOT immediately returned. In fact, it took a FULL WEEK for that money to be returned to our bank, which ultimately left us broke the whole weekend for our family wedding. And if that weren’t enough, when we got into the room, it was filthy. Everything was sticky from the surfaces, to the bathroom floor, to what appeared to be dried up lotion (I hope) on the furniture. The inside of the microwave was completely nasty. It wasn’t even vacuumed.We went and got extra sheets to cover the furniture, and a bottle of cleaner to clean down the room ourselves before we could even be comfortable. I have pictures and video of it all.

The woman who was working the front desk when I checked in was AMAZING!!! I checked in at the end of a very long, very stressful day and was absolutely exhausted. My bank was requesting verification that it was not a fraudulent charge (I live out of state) before the would authorize payment which just added to the amount of stress I was already feeling. The employee working the front desk was so incredibly patient and just told me "not to worry, that we would get it figured out". She was absolutely amazing and made me feel like they really did value their guests.

They had problems from the beginning. I wasnt greeted. There was a lady walking around behind the desk talking on the phone that was being very aggressive and unprofessional. The man bwhind the counter acted like i was inconveniencing him by being there. I asked for an extra pillow because there was 2 very crappy ones in our room and he just said no and acted like i was getting on his nerves. Terrible. Breakfast..awful.

Really Great Service 😁 friendly lady at front desk, they got us extra towels, front lady brought us bananas for breakfast, coffee 24 hours a day definitely will stay again, very clean room, waffles for breakfast with juice and yogurt.

The price was great and the property appeared safe. The door on our room had three locks which was nice. The pool was closed, there were cigarette burns in the bedspread, and the upstairs neighbors were loud. Our two queen beds had only two small pillows each, with no extras in the closet. The front desk employee could only provide me with one more pillow. Breakfast was very limited, with bad coffee and no drinking water.

Good location near the Canton sites. Nice room with dependable WiFi. luggage cart was helpful. Coffee not always available

I stayed for 2 nights because my power was out at home. I'm sorry to say that this hotel is dirty and they do the bare minimum to keep it up. My bed spread had a big burn hole in it. Throw it away people! My sheets were stained and I wasn't confident that they were clean. My carpet was dirty. It looked as if they didn't even vacuum. This could be a nice little hotel. Its in a very nice area.

The bed was really comfortable and locations was good....but everything else was not good.

This property was in a great area very close to everything and a safe neighborhood but the hotel itself was dirty and old the sheets and blankets have burn marks and everything smelled like cigarettes the pool and everything was outdated and the pool end cut one of my children . Also breakfast was very limited to waffle toast with nothing to put on them and very little syrup. But overall great location but old and not well taken care of hotel

The hotel was very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The pool and whirlpool were great! Very clean and the whirlpool was great for my arthritis. There were fast food restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. We used the refrigerator in our room it was clean and worked perfectly. We will definitely stay there again!

The shopping center in walki g disrance had some great restaurants and the neighborhood felt safe.

I thought it was clean and quiet. I really enjoyed the fact that the pool and hot tub were open for adults only from 10 to 11pm. I was a little disappointed with the continental breakfast. There was very little more than 2 selections of cold cereal and milk.

Served its purpose, no coffee maker in the room as advertised, not a washcloth in sight. OJ in the morning, I think was spoiled.

Room could've used a deep clean. No coffee pot in the room and no coffee in the breakfast room. All the breakfast was gone and not restocked.
