What a disappointment!!! The hotel is being remodeled. We received NO notification of the presence of workers and lots of noise until we arrived at the front desk. There a small sign said that remodeling was in progress, and please excuse any noise. I woke up to constant pounding and some saw zinging. I had arrived the night before from Colorado. Having constant pounding in my ears at 6:00 am mountain time was very stressful. When I spoke to the front desk, she just shrugged her shoulders. Be aware that the bathroom has no fan. Also, cold air leaked into the room through the air conditioning vents. A totally disappointing stay. I encourage you to look for other hotels, especially at this price.

I cannot say enough how friendly the staff was at this location. On our first night, I believe her name was Jasmine working the front desk...she was so sweet in helping with a silly tv remote issue and just making our check in smooth. From there, ALL the staff acknowledged us as we were coming and going. Our one complaint: the pool was freezing!

Our family had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the pool that started at 3ft - it allowed our youngest to touch the bottom. The beds were comfortable, rooms clean, breakfast good (better than most "complimentary" breakfasts I've had, staff friendly, and parking plentiful. I didn't love the pillows, wish I would have brought my own. Overall everything was great!

Very comfortable stay. Within walking distance of "downtown" Davidson and the campus and also an easy walk to the North Harbour restaurant where I was dining with a group. Breakfast and bar area is attractive, and the breakfast was pretty good, especially the tortilla option. Bar was quite good. Room was spacious. Decorated to the hilt with a nautical motif, which was nice but somewhat amusing for someone who remembers when there was no Lake Norman. My only small gripe is that all four pillows very soft and squishy, and I prefer firmer ones.

Upon arrival the receptionist told us our room type that we reserved was sold out however after some time looking she was able to locate our room. The room STUNK like rotten garbage. We asked housekeeping to address it but it never improved. The second night of our stay the fire alarm went off at 11:45pm and everyone had to vacate the building. 30 mins later the Fireman gave the all clear. At 8am the next day the fire alarm went off again and we had to vacate again. Our stay was not enjoyable.

This was a very nice suite. The layout was more like a one bedroom apartment with its separate bedroom and living room. The kitchen had ever essential needed for a quick meal. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I noted Homewood Suites by Hilton in my home office to look for them in future travel. The only negative I found was that the bathroom could use a dim light, in addition to the bright overhead, for use in the middle of the night.

This is a beautiful property and close to restaurants and shops. It was very convenient for us so we could be close to family. Many of the rooms are under renovation which is good because the rooms are really outdated.

Booked this Hotel through Hotels.com two hours before arrival. When I got there the receptionist told me it was booked for three days later and that she wouldn’t accommodate me unless I paid a rate nearly 100% more than the original. I asked to cancel the Sunday booking and she said she could not and it had to be done by Hotels.com. I then had to find another hotel. Contacted HDC and they said the opposite; that it needed to be cancelled by the Hotel. Tried for two days to get the date cancelled and was told it was non refundable. They charged my CC account today for the date and then sent me this review request. Total scam. I not my family nor my businesses will NEVER use HDC or stay at a Hilton hotel again. Dead serious.

This place was pretty terrible. The receptionists who greeted us upon checkin (although they actually *didn’t* greet us) were so unfriendly and seemed so unhappy with their jobs. The water pressure in the shower was incredibly low. One of the blankets on the bed was a MATTRESS PAD! Breakfast was inedible. Would definitely not recommend or come back!

Our stay was amazing. Our room had to be downsized, due to a situation beyond their control. Jasmine and her manager Theresa were very apologetic. They made accommodations to make our stay comfortable. Jasmine is an awesome representative for that hotel. She rocks.

Despite signs saying they were making upgrades and apologizing in advance for any inconvenience, I didn't notice a thing. It was quiet and clean and staff was very kind and helpful. I slept better than I do at home! Would definitely go back.

The area around the hotel was fantastic and had a number of amenities close, including restaurants and a grocery store. It was also a very walkable area. The staff was terrific and was very helpful with any questions I had while I stayed. 10/10 would recommend.

Check in was very easy! Everyone was incredibly pleasant and helpful! Our rooms were perfect, clean, and very spacious! I would 100% book at this hotel again. Excellent location excellent! It was in very close proximity to my nephew’s wedding and that made it a very stress-free weekend

Stayed before when niece at Davidson college. Very nice. Great location for shopping, dining. Harris Teeter. It was very expensive , more that past probably due to college orientation started. Over $400 a night. Wouldn't stay multiple nights at that price and only available nice hotel in area for visiting family one night. Breakfast excellent. Bacon. Eggs etc... desk staff extremely helpful and friendly. Very welcoming.

The room was large with high ceilings and everything was clean. The breakfast was varied and tasty, and the breakfast attendants were prompt with refilling empty coffee, food, and utensils. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was very walkable and pictureque.

While the staff at the front was always friendly and helpful, the cleaning crew continuously forgot to leave new clean towels after cleaning the rooms. Breakfast quality has improved the more we have stayed but the low quality sausage choice, hard dry french toasts and stiff pancakes leave a lot to be desired
