From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff. Check in process was so simple and easy! Pool was the perfect temp, hot tub was so clean, room was wonderful and the bed was the right comfort level. This hotel was close to our friends house we were visiting! We will definitely stay again next time! Keep up the great breakfast too! (My 9yr old son said it was his favorite part!) GREAT JOB COUNTRY INN!!

In Wausau for the Badger State Games. Stayed two nights. Convenient location, good condition, comfortable bed, nice pool/hot tub, and good free breakfast. Staff was incredibly friendly. Very good value.

The room was very clean and well maintained. The only personal preference I have about the room is that the toilet is lower than usual, but it obviously wasn't the end of the world. The two staff members we interacted with were both very friendly. Breakfast was your typical continental style. We didnt utilize the pool or hot tub, but it looked well maintained when we walked past. The area was quiet and there are lots of fast food options and a Walgreens right across the street. Overall a great property and I would definitely stay again if I'm in the area. :)

This hotel is a safe haven tucked away in small town Schofield, WI. The staff is so attentive and kind, even offering to get you coffee while you enjoy your breakfast. They keep the facility in top notch condition with clean rooms, lobby, and pool area. They have a washer/dryer for use for a small fee. We spent two nights here and I would absolutely do it again. Awesome place.

Hallways smelled like bad plumbing. No hot water in shower. The hot tub in the pool room never heated up. Shower height was too low and could not be adjusted. Asked for a printed receipt and they said they didn’t know how to use the printer. I stayed here for one night on 10/7/2024 on business. I was mislead by the rating. If you are looking for a hot shower after a long day of traveling DO NOT stay here.

Wonderful hot tub, however need to vacuum under sofa and chairs in room and in elevator. Appreciated the layout of the king bed suite with bedroom with a door and separate living room. Also appreciated all the outlets, each side at the head of the bed and just the right location at the desk in the living room, also appropriate nightlight in bathroom.

Overall hotel was nice. Room was clean. Breakfast was great. Pool area was nice as has lots of natural light. What I didn’t like was room 113. It is adjacent to the laundry. It is so loud in the room because the plumbing is in the wall right next to the beds. And this isn’t your normal washer. It’s the commercial type for the hotel linens. When checking in, the evening staff advised of the laundry but assured it was the last load of the night. It was so no worries. The problem began at 5 AM when it started again and we were trying to sleep. I called the front desk and they said no worries we’ll stop. It stopped for 10 minutes and started up again. I went out to the front desk and asked to please stop as my family was trying to sleep. The lady basically told me to pound sand. They had laundry to do. Long story. Avoid room 113 at all costs!!!

Great location, quiet and staff quite friendly. The mattress is rock hard though, and my first night my hips were in so much pain and i was tossing and turning all night long. I do not have a hip problem, just a problem with the rock hard mattress. The next day i asked for an extra mattress layer and another blanket. I used those and also a layer of pillows under me the next nights and that helped. I would not stay there again.

Our room was very next to breakfast area and each morning we were awaken by loud hotel staff. However, they were very nice and serviceable when we came for breakfast. I only wish we could get a few more minutes of our sleep.

Upon check-in, the front desk attendant was very rude from the get-go. She wasn’t sure if the room that I had was clean or not so she went to check. She came back, gave me the key. I went in the room and the beds were unmade, and you could see head prints of people that had slept in it the night before I went back to the front desk to let her know and she really didn’t care, but she did give me another room. The next day I spoke to management and they did not carre either. No apology was given at all. The assistant manager just stared at me as I was telling her the story. I asked her if she would like to see a video of the room and she did not want to see it. I was completely shocked and I will never be staying here ever again.

The staff at the hotel were really nice to us...especially Jeri in the breakfast room in the morning. She was helpful with bringing us coffee, clearing plates from our table, and offering to bring other breakfast items to us. She is a great employee, and told us how much Country Inn meant to her.

Typical Country Inn. Somewhat dated but comfortable. Location not convenient to restaurants and a fair distance from Wausau itself. Large room but open space filled with a few random pieces of very worn and soiled furniture.

I was pleasantly surprised at the location and the lovely property!! Checkin was easy, my room was extremely comfortable and breakfast was delicious. I was a single woman travelling and felt very safe at this hotel. The staff was courteous and checkin was quick.

Room & staff were fine. The breakfast was very disappointing. Gold Eggs, Waffle mix was so thin that the waffles did not cook, those were 2 of the 3 staple items. Not much selection aside from cold sugary cereal, but the milk wasn't fresh.
