Baymont by Wyndham Newark at University of Delaware

The staff was incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful. They failed to communicate that they overbooked my original reservation and changed the room without my knowledge. They then verbally agreed to change my room to a king, but when I returned and spoke with a manager, refused to make any changes or attempt to speak with the 2 staff who originally agreed to make the change. On top of that, the bathroom sink was clogged and there was spit in the hallway.

Room was clean staff is very well informed about local eateries had a great stay

Hotel was filthy, dirty floors, bathroom was remodeled but looks like a cruise ship shower. Super small that they overlayed on an old tub or shower. Drain cover is all splattered with paint or adhesive from a cheap remodel. Walls a filthy chipping pain and stains. Floors need to be replaced and vacuumed. Will never stay there again the whole hotel smelled moldy

Parking was ok. Vicinity was rowdy with college town shenanigans constantly. Best part was the kind welcome and provisions offered by staff. Appreciate the pillow options. Breakfast juice good and buffet clean. Would not stay @Newark again.

The hotel fit our purpose of sleeping for one night. The hotel is old and outdated. It’s a good location across from the Univ of Delaware stadium. Parking was available.
