We've stayed in several paradors and this one was our favorite. The historic building is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable (we got a junior suite with a gorgeous view of the river) and the staff are warm, courteous and helpful. The location is excellent and the town itself is charming. Not only that, but you can hop on a little ferry boat and seven minutes later you're in France! We highly recommend this hotel and hope you enjoy it like we did.

The hotel is in an excellent location with a lovely view across the estuary of the river. The hotel has been converted from an historic fortress which gives it a very unique charm. The staff were very welcoming and helpful in making arrangement for restaurants and taxis. There was a wide variety of choices of food for the breakfast. We had a very enjoyable stay and would go back.
