Some rooms are dated. We asked to moved because we were right next door to the lift and it was very noisy. Our second room was better, but very small. For a busy two nights away it dis the job. I wouldnt stay here if it was a holiday, no pool, and room too small

We have stayed at the Agur a couple of times and it was okay. Granted it is a budget hotel so for the price we paid, you don't expect luxury. The rooms are basic and we chose the hotel purely for convenience and budget when visiting family. This time round we had THE most uncomfortable room ever. It was roasting as the air con was blowing hot air. The bed was like a brick and we had to ask for pillows as they only provided 2 very thin ones. We couldn't open a window as we must have been near drains as there were mosquitos galore and we got bitten to pieces. The shower cubicle was rickety, extremely small and the head was hanging off the wall - if you turned around you knocked the tap to scalding or cold. And on NYE, my partner and I were stuck in the lift for 40 mins after the door slammed closed. The alarm btn in the lift did nothing and we had to phone a friend to alert reception. Even then, no apology was offered, more of a "it happens" shrug! I recommend if staying here, always go for a superior room, they aren't THAT superior, but they are tiny bit bigger and slightly more comfy. The standard room we had (Room 355) was just awful. If this hotel could get a few basic comforts sorted out (more pillows, better ventilation/beds, modernise the bathrooms a bit), it would be great for budget travellers. It's a pity as the staff are friendly and helpful and there's a nice cafe downstairs, but honestly had such an uncomfortable 3 nights here and I doubt we will stay here again.

Small but perfectly formed. 24 hr reception. Nice coffee shop. Mostly friendly staff. In the centre of fuengirola near bus and train stations. Small lift serving the 4 floors. Rooms basic. No english tv channels. Complicated wifi !! But all in all value for the £40 per night i paid but wouldnt pay any more.

Stayed here a few months ago and was very pleased with the room and my stay. I would add that it was not the standard room. On this occasion I booked a standard single room which was ok. There wasn't a hair dryer in the room and you had to ask reception each time. On my departure morning there was no hair dryer available and no hot water which left me feeling very disappointed.

I have been a regular business guest at Hotel Agur for several years. Unfortunately I note that they have removed the peaceful, free, guest-only breakfast room, with is excellent coffee. They have replaced it with public cafe, both with internal and street access. For this change they lose a 'star' and future visits by me.

Super bra läge, nära till precis allt.Personalen var vänliga och ett plus i kanten för att jag fick checka in tidigare än 14! Nu är detta ett två-stjärnigt hotell och beskrivningen av det stämde bra överens med verkligheten, dock skulle de med små medel kunna bli ännu bättre. Saknade verkligen både vattenkokare och kylskåp (mini-bar) på rummet även om jag visste innan att det inte skulle finnas. Värt att nämna är att det pågår ett stort bygge av tomten brevid som man har som utsikt om man får en balkong mot den. Detta var precis inget som störde mig i alla fall.

Second stay at Hotel Agur visiting family in Fuengirola. Hotel is so convenient for the train and so close to centre of town. We booked on a budget and for that it’s a little rustic but it was clean, comfortable and convenient for what we wanted. Staff were friendly and helpful as well. They may well have even listened to my review last January about the unsafe hairdryer that I got during my last stay as this time around, I got a brand new one to use during my stay (with a small refundable deposit). The little cafe downstairs is still great value as well. My only gripe this time was the shower curtains are far too small. As a result, the high water pressure from our shower soaked the floor no matter how much we tried to prevent it, which in turn made the floor very slippery and even trickled into the bedroom as well. Apart from that, it’s a great little hotel.

Fantastic stay at the Agur hotel. The staff were ever so friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean. The cafe bar is brand new and made excellent coffee and breakfast.

The hotel is in a good location. Breakfast is expensive compared to what is on offer. The worst thing was the smell of mold in the hallways and a strong smell of mold in room 203. I stayed at the hotel 9-18.02.2025

Bra äldre hotel centralt i Fuengirola. Bara ett kvarter från tåget till Malaga och nära till shopping och mängder av restauranger. Hotellet är enkelt, men rent. Bra service och riklig frukost (fast yoghurt saknades).

Chambre spacieuse et propre. Hotel tres bien situé. Ouvert 24/24. Personnel agréable. Balcon avec vue sur immeuble en fin de construction extérieure (outils peuvent être très bruyants dès le matin). Le pire sont les cloisons de la chambre non isolées phoniquement et des voisins qui parlent fort voire qui braillent j'en ai eu pendant mon séjour et on entend tout comme si on etait dans la meme pièce. Dommage. Je recommande malgré tout.

The lady on reception was excellent. Early check and upgraded free of charge. I had one issue in the room and they had a person there within a minute. Ideal location for shops bars and seafront.

Unfortunately the first room offered was a tiny box room with a very small window. Staff quickly resolved this by changing my room. As I travel alone I had asked for a room with a view as I don’t go out in the evening, sadly my room with a view was of a hotel being built directly opposite hotel Agur…. Close enough for the builders to have a conversation with me during their lunch break!!! While at reception I also noted other guests complaining about the same point. I don’t suppose hotel Agur had any choice as to the building of another hotel right at the side of their hotel. If like me you want a nice evening view I think you need to find a less built up area. All other aspects were good and hotel was clean and safe.

As I travel alone I had asked for a room with a view as I don’t go out in the evening, sadly my room with a view was of a hotel being built directly opposite hotel Agur…. Close enough for the builders to have a conversation with me during their lunch break!!! While at reception I also noted other guests complaining about the same point. I don’t suppose hotel Agur had any choice as to the building of another hotel right at the side of their hotel. If like me you want a nice evening view I think you need to find a less built up area. All other aspects were good and hotel was clean and safe.

The stay was an overnight on our way home. The hotel is basic but very convenient for buses and trains. Didn’t have any food as we left early in the morning. Staff were really nice and friendly. Could do with a wee lick of paint here and there other wise a nice hotel. We were given a voucher if we wanted to eat in the cafe giving us I think10% discount.

Second stay at Hotel Agur visiting family in Fuengirola. Hotel is so convenient for the train and so close to centre of town. We booked on a budget and for that it’s a little rustic but it was clean, comfortable and convenient for what we wanted. Staff were friendly and helpful as well. They may well have even listened to my review last January about the unsafe hairdryer that I got during my last stay as this time around, I got a brand new one to use during my stay (with a small refundable deposit). The little cafe downstairs is still great value as well. My only gripe this time was the shower curtains are far too small. As a result, the high water pressure from our shower soaked the floor no matter how much we tried to prevent it, which in turn made the floor very slippery and even trickled into the bedroom as well. Apart from that, it’s a great little hotel.

We wanted an october stay in the Malaga area, so we could visit Gibraltar and Malaga City. And also spend lazy days at the beach. Hotel Agur was perfect for this. Situated in the center of Fuengirola, with everything next to it, train-station 200meters away, beach 500meters. Building looks a bit "timid" from outside but the reception is staffed 24 hours and very friendly personel. The room was clean and so where the bathroom. We enjoyed it and would stay there again :)

We have stayed before in Feb 24 for one night b&b and it was nice with friendly staff and nice food offering various options . The hotel was clean and location an asset. For us being from England the room had a TV but no English channels which wasn’t an issue but feel you may get more English guests staying for longer periods if UK TV channels were available. The hotel was really nice and would happily stay ourselves for longer even without the UK channels as we managed to find a music station and the staff and hotel in general negate the TV channels for us

man hade ändrat saker utan att notera detta på hemsidan. Biljardbordet som var ett skäl till val av hotell fanns inte, frukosten kostade inte 5 euro utan 8,5 euro, det blåste iskalla vindar i matsalen och den lagade maten höll ca 20 grader vilket gjorde den rent farlig att förtära, det var dessutom gårdagens stekta ägg o bacon som serverades. Trevlig personal men helt utan erfarenhet av att arbeta på hotell. Vi beslutade att resa hem 5 dagar tidigare.

Weather was raining all week . Hotel clean and friendly staff as usual as we have stayed before and always been pleasant . One thing we have noticed is the breakfast was a little different . When we first stayed it was cold buffet and fruit etc with teas coffee cereal etc but a person would come to the table and ask how you want the bacon sausage and eggs done and go and fetch it straight from the kitchen but now the hot food is kept in Bein Marie’s and so not as fresh … only an observation as the food was nice…. The hotel is nice and near the beach , bus station and beach so great for travel to airport …. Other only observation is no bar or refreshments but still score it a 4

Bra äldre hotel centralt i Fuengirola. Bara ett kvarter från tåget till Malaga och nära till shopping och mängder av restauranger. Hotellet är enkelt, men rent. Bra service och riklig frukost (fast yoghurt saknades).

Super bra läge, nära till precis allt.Personalen var vänliga och ett plus i kanten för att jag fick checka in tidigare än 14! Nu är detta ett två-stjärnigt hotell och beskrivningen av det stämde bra överens med verkligheten, dock skulle de med små medel kunna bli ännu bättre. Saknade verkligen både vattenkokare och kylskåp (mini-bar) på rummet även om jag visste innan att det inte skulle finnas. Värt att nämna är att det pågår ett stort bygge av tomten brevid som man har som utsikt om man får en balkong mot den. Detta var precis inget som störde mig i alla fall.

The room was clean - ish . The curtains were stained but maid came regular (missed one day don’t know why). Reception staff lovely and friendly. Room was dated and no fridge which is annoying in the heat for drinks etc…. The hotel it self was NOISY. Couldn’t get to sleep most night because you could hear the lift shaking as it went up and down, the rooms also weren’t well sound prod. One night we could hear another couple quite clearly and loudly having *** which was not pleasant to say the least, but not the staffs fault, it’s in a great location but we wouldn’t stay again for these reasons. Wouldn’t say it’s family friendly and felt abit like a hostel .

The room was a good base if only needing to sleep and shower. No luxuries but good for price. Location good. You can hear outside noise through night and any water usage or toilet flushes above or around you. The hotel is exactly as described. Basic but cheap.
