SureStay Hotel by Best Western Brownsville

The property was ok. Not what expected for the price payed. The pool was not in service. The breakfast did not have variety of things to eat. Our room had greasy stains on the TV stand and on the door. Definitely will not stay here again.

The property has been renovated which means it's great functionally. However, asthetically it could be better. Not all the points of entry are accessible with the room keycard. The paper sleeves for the keycards are reused, torn, and dirty.

Check in was fine. Room is just ok. Tv doesn’t work, bathroom sink leaks all over the floor. Hotel pool is empty and needs either to be fixed or filled in. Beds were ok. Think the staff tried hard for what they are given to work with. Best western, you need to fix this hotel up. Could be much much better.

The website says there is a pool but it was under construction. The website should have been updated so I would have known and booked a different motel with a pool.

Shower curtain had pink mildew at the bottom. The faucet in the sink was too close to the edge of the sink. Floors were dirty. No handles in the shower to keep from slipping.

The second day of stay the room did not have cleaning service. I requested a partial refund for the situation and they said that being an expedia customer would not be possible

AC would not work in room after I checked in. Hotel said they did not have any other rooms but finally let me know there was a room with a non-working TV. AC is much more important that TV so I moved and then all was ok. Hotel is OK but nothing special.

First let me say that the management did help us out with a refund for our 2nd night and were helpful with regards to making that happen. But the 1st floor room we were given was very humid and moist. This was in June in Brownsville so a very humid month. The in-wall AC unit was coming out of the wall and you could see the outside along what was supposed to sealed. So therefore, the humidity and outside air was coming into the room from those openings. So we had cold moist air all night and thus the reason we wanted out of our 2nd night stay. Also the property has several doors leading into the 1st floor hallway from the parking lot so all night you are hearing the doors open and close. The floor in the room was not carpeted so there was an echo and it kept the moist air in the room. The room had NO lamps. Only overhead lighting so you felt like you were being interrogated with bright white lights. The breakfast was not very good either. And the coffee machine was hard to get to work. In addition you could never get ahold of the hotel's main line. It always went straight to voicemail stating that the line has not been set up to receive voicemail.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is great—close to shops, restaurants, and main roads, which made getting around very easy. Parking was also convenient with plenty of space available, which is always appreciated. However, there were several issues that took away from the overall experience. Upon check-in, the hotel clerk was not particularly welcoming or helpful, which set the tone for the stay. My husband and I were initially assigned a room where the door latch would randomly lock from the inside, preventing us from entering. The hotel clerk tried getting it to work, but we were not having that. We immediately asked for another room because we did not want to keep dealing with that during our stay. Noise was another major issue. Both employees and other guests were loud during early morning hours, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. You’d expect some level of noise in a hotel, but this felt excessive and unmanaged. Lastly, the breakfast was very underwhelming. There were no hot options—just cereal, muffins, and some beverages. No eggs, no protein, nothing substantial, which was disappointing for what’s advertised as a complimentary breakfast. Overall, while the location and parking were definite pluses, the lack of customer service, noisy environment, and poor breakfast offerings made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been. I hope management takes steps to improve in these areas.

My tv did not work in the room, front desk attempted to help, she stated would call Direct TV. She never came back to tell me a status, didn’t apologize, I was not offered another room or some type of compensation. If it is part of what I’m paying for I should have it. My family and I were not able to just relax and enjoy our stay. In the morning when she asked how everything was I told her terrible my tv didn’t work and the only response I got was as that I was the only one. I will never be staying here or recommending this hotel to anyone.

Woken up both days as early as 6am. by what I assumed was other guests slamming doors. On final morning realized it was the staff repeatedly slamming a storage room door next to my room.

No hot water in the shower.

Room smelled musty and felt damp. Heat/air did not work. T.V. did not work. Breakfast choice was very very little, not even bread for toast just packaged sugary junk food.

We picked this hotel because it had two king beds and fit our whole family comfortably. We were pleasantly surprised by how large the room was. Lizette was really helpful at check in and gave us the BEST recommendations for local restaurants. I am extremely happy and would definitely stay here in the future.

Excellent service

The room was not ready for check-in. When we returned at a later time, they did not have the room we booked (we booked 2 beds, they tried giving us 1). The staff acted as if this was not their problem and refused to fix the issue. Expedia has not been able to confirm if they can return the money.

Front desk was amazing we had a terrible time before at a near by motel 6 we requested to view the room before booking. She showed exceptional customer service and showed us the room.

Had to leave a $100 deposit for my stay that was never mentioned on site.

Great experience enjoyed my stay. Reasonable price, professional staff and always there to assist. Very quiet and clean. Supplied with all necessities in the room. Breakfast included. Stayed 3 nights and I will surely come back again.

My trip was pretty good the only reason I’m giving it a 4 cuz the food it would of been better if it had better breakfast

I was disappointed that coffee and “breakfast” ends at 9:30 am. If you do not get a cup of coffee by 9:30, it will be put away. Not good.

The noise of the hallway was audible in the room, which was a huge inconvenience whenever the others would arrive or leave in the nights. The breakfast is a huge disappointment. The breakfast cereal is only for kids -- full of sugar. NO tea bags available in the room or at breakfast. Only coffee :( The location was good. The front lady was nice.
