The location was great and the atmosphere in the bar area was great. The food menu had a great choice, the Pizzas were fabulous. The room was good although the first impression was not good as the carpet was stained. Apart from that we had a great weekend.

Good size carpark, it's on a slope though and there are big steps to get to the reception. Check in is at the reception on the side of the bar. All information given A couple of flights of stairs to get to the room. The room itself is a good size, the shower room was on the snug size! Bed is super comfortable Wifi excellent The shower was hot and powerful. Evening meal was excellent, a bit of a wait as they were quite busy. Breakfast is not included but could be added if wanted. The location is set on the edge of the city close to the university. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

Comfy and well appointed room and convenient to stroll down stairs for a decent evening meal. Restaurant and bar very busy and staff working hard. We were in no hurry so not an issue for us.

Great place to stay in Sheffield near the university with on site free parking which was great. Staff really friendly and we ate there in the evening and although it was fully booked they found us a table. Plenty of choice on menu and they had gluten free options which was great for us. Will stay there again.

Great pub with parking and food available. Room was lovely with robes, toiletries, free refreshments (water, tea, coffee and delicious cookies!). Taxis to get around Sheffield were easy to book and affordable, although the pub is close to the bus route and walkable to other shops and pubs nearby. Booked through Expedia who sold us a room for 3 adults that was only meant for 2 adults and a child. Thankfully the hotel honoured the booking.

Far enough away from City Centre but not so far you feel isolated. It is a quaint converted 19th century mansion property with a very relaxed vibe. The restaurant on the ground floor was always full of locals so you know the food is good. Everything you would expect from a local inn. Free, delicious chocolate chips cookies everyday! Within walking distance of the Botanic Gardens and if you have a bike, the Peak District is also close by. I loved Sheffield and I loved the Florentine.

Great location. Friendly welcome. Room was warm, charming and clean. No signage for do not disturb or request for cleaning was available though. The stay on bathroom light above the mirror flickered if not set correctly and the storage heater was noisy throughout the night, which wasn't great for a light sleeper. Breakfast was excellent and Julie was amazing with all queues raised related to the room and even remembered our breakfast order. There was one day where the room was not cleaned and refreshments were not replenished, but I was able to get these from the bar. Overall, a lovely stay with good facilities and I'd stay here again.

Lovely stay, staff all very attentive and helpful. Also a great location for me as my daughter is a student and staying at Ranmore which was literally a few minutes walk so she joined me for dinner and breakfast. Only thing I would say was the bathroom smelt a bit damp which may have been the drains and the bed and pillows could have been a bit comfier but I am a fussy sleeper, so it was fine overall and I will definitely stay again.

We have just returned from a short stay at The Florentine where we had an excellent stay. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, the room was immaculately clean, very spacious and included dressing gowns, high end refreshments and toiletries which is a really nice touch. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and enjoyed the well presented, tasty food. We look forward to visiting Sheffield again and will definitely stay at the Florentine again.

Great welcome and service throughout. Room was excellent - well furnished and stylish. Quiet, comfortable bed. Only downside - the bulb in the main ceiling light could have been stronger or place a standing light over by the sofa and coffee table.

The property is fine as this was our 2nd stay but the mattress in the double room wasnt comfortable. The heater also made noise when it warmed or cooled.

Unfortunately my room was directly over the services and delivery area at the back of the Hotel above the kitchens and there was a constant noise and vibration from Air conditioning/Extractor Fans-could not sleep.

Room 5 was huge and in good condition with a roll top bath and a generous walk in shower. I would have said that the room lighting could have been brighter which would have made reading easier at night.

I stayed overnight, the staff were all lovely, very welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely, beautifully decorated and full of little extras that made for a great stay at a great price. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Found the staff friendly & very help. We asked if they could bring our young grandson his meal quickly as he was hungry ; this the staff promptly did along with a smile .

Far enough away from City Centre but not so far you feel isolated. It is a quaint converted 19th century mansion property with a very relaxed vibe. The restaurant on the ground floor was always full of locals so you know the food is good. Everything you would expect from a local inn. Free, delicious chocolate chips cookies everyday! Within walking distance of the Botanic Gardens and if you have a bike, the Peak District is also close by. I loved Sheffield and I loved the Florentine.

The location was great and the atmosphere in the bar area was great. The food menu had a great choice, the Pizzas were fabulous. The room was good although the first impression was not good as the carpet was stained. Apart from that we had a great weekend.

The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly, the breakfast unfortunately was not so great and was an additional charge which we didn't expect

The staff were all lovely and helpful, the room was beautiful, the bed was comfy and the breakfast was first class - we’ll definitely be back if we have another event in Sheffield!

Comfy and well appointed room and convenient to stroll down stairs for a decent evening meal. Restaurant and bar very busy and staff working hard. We were in no hurry so not an issue for us.

Great place to stay in Sheffield near the university with on site free parking which was great. Staff really friendly and we ate there in the evening and although it was fully booked they found us a table. Plenty of choice on menu and they had gluten free options which was great for us. Will stay there again.

A great overnight stop with good food and beer in the restaurant. It wasn’t warm in the public areas or the room but it was cold weather outside. The room heater struggled and was a bit noisy

Lovely one-night stay. The building was beautiful and peaceful, and we had a great night’s sleep. We were greeted by friendly staff on arrival, which made us feel very welcome. Breakfast the following morning was excellent too. Would definitely stay again!

The Florentine is a lovely hotel with bags of character and style, there's a lovely terrace out front to sit in the sunshine and plenty of room in the bar & restaurant, plus easy onsite, free parking. The room was really spacious and the bed enormous and super comfy - I actually slept in, which hasn't happened for a long time! There was plenty of room in the en suite and a good powerful hot shower. The only downsides were that the room was a bit hot as only one window opened and then only about 6 inches. I was fine but my husband said he was much too hot. The other thing was that the shower grout and the adjustable shower head had quite a bit of mould on them, the carpet was clean but could do with a good shampoo and my bedside table needed painting or scrubbing as everything stuck to the surface. Send in the cleaners and it would be 5 stars!

Not one bad staff member, all were polite and friendly from bar, reception to cleaners. Rooms were a good size, clean, comfortable and pretty. The terrace and bar were beautiful and had a great, chilled atmosphere. Food and drink were spot on from coffee, alcohol and really tasty, well-made breakfast and dinner! Only downside is the windows not opening in the room, the grounds outside were a little messy and the plants needed some love but would not stop me coming back and recommending to all.

It was fine. It's a bit of a walk from the car park to the top floor, so best unload before parking. The room was large, the bed was comfortable. The morning light came through the curtains, should have used an eye mask. The staff were mostly nice and it was cheaper than the nearest Prermier Inn.
